OK, so Musk got hoisted on his own petard, thus restoring some of X's supposedly damaged integrity. What's the story about? Isn't the censorship the more important thread to all of this, i.e. 'what' was censored?
I have no idea what a "groyper" is and don't want to pollute my feeds by trying to find out more, I have a vague recollection of the name Nick Fuentes with some connection to ?neo-Nazism?, and I hope community notes continue. It seems that the community note in question has been taken down without explanation, but some commenters are drawing a distinction between an account's being suspended and its blue check being withdrawn, something about monetization...
My use of X is desultory at best - "everybody says" it's where you can get the most freewheeling news stories, but I haven't figured out how.
Nick Fuentes was running down Trump for months before the election, just like an astroturfed doompillers would- only to say "sweet guys, we did it!" when he won. Absolutely fake and gay, in no ways a real spokesman for the far right. Then again, Vox Day thinks Donald Trump is actually a deep state double. Nonetheless, the fringe of the fringe is increasingly tired, while MAGA conservatives are at an electoral high point.
I suppose there is a story here, but understanding it would require a lot more effort than I am prepared to expend on people I don't know posting things I don't read on a platform I don't subscribe to.
Points to Elon Musk for letting Nick Fuentes back on the platform. Don't know why his groyper followers are being banned. Sometimes people are banned justifiably, they threaten violence or engage in Ethnic insults (aka "fighting word". I hope they didn't get banned just for being patriotic or immigration restrictionists.
As I've written before, both the Left and Right have a "Lunatic fringe". But only the Right has to constantly attack theirs, and disavow. Partly this is because the Left controls the MSM.
But its also because conservatives and RW'ers are political morons. "Hey, look at me attacking Nick Fuentes and (insert extreme RW'er) I'm not with them, I'm Mr. Reasonable Conservative" and all the Left does is laugh and call them racist.
Had to look up what a 'groyper' is. Apparently it's one of those special Wiki-pejorative groups, identified there as being representative of: American nationalism Antisemitism Anti-Zionism Paleoconservatism White nationalism White supremacy
But interestingly, there's no mention of the group we've seen marching in khakis and polo shirts at various political events, with and without tiki torches - maybe they can be found on the FBI's Wiki page, who knows.
To the modern left, "far right" just means "anyone who doesn't suck dicks". The term passed through the Overton window long ago and is on its way to Alpha Centauri.
Were the "groypers" real people posting their own thoughts or were they acting a bots to expand Fuentes reach? Musk has been pretty clear that bots are not tolerated.
Quick question: were Groyper or Fuentes censored before Musk bought X? Or other vile extremist racist groups like his? Oh, they were? Along with any other right of Soros groups and persons? Sooo, what exactly is the complaint here?
We gotta watch out for the "right-wing" extremism! You know- parents who don't want porn in the public school library. ... You will be made to ignore the anti-Israel hate on college campuses and the Antifa arson that still goes on. Bonus: the patsy who tried to kill Trump and managed to kill an innocent by-stander - that assassin is of NO interest to the American Democrat Soviet press.
I had noticed more and more popular accounts on X doing engagement farming - posting things like " says they are going to leave the U.S. if Trump wins, what do you say?". There were other types, but they would all state a hypothetical as if it were a fact and ask for people's opinion. I haven't been seeing nearly as many farming posts lately.
If I knew the accounts that were banned and could see the last couple of months of posts, I'd have an opinion on their bans. Maybe none of them were doing that and they got banned for the wrong reasons, but if they were farming, good riddance.
First the Left hated on Elon because he turned Twitter into a "free speech" zone. Then some on the Right hated on him because he called them sub-tards over the H1B kerfuffle. Who runs bartertown?

See, even autocorrect knows. It tried to fix it to ‘federal’.
Well, he was claiming to be in the running of heir to Tolkien today. I liked his books and think he doesn't truly have competitors, mind you, but really. Someone should tell writers that you may as well claim to be Jesus Christ.
Pepe the Frog may have been more a joke than anything else. Once something becomes a meme, anyone can use it. Somebody adopts the apolitical frog as a right-wing political symbol (maybe seriously, maybe as a gag), somebody on a watchdog website sees it, and he becomes the most notorious frog since Kermit.
The funniest thing I've read about BS is that (supposedly) Dorsey created it a while back specifically as a refugee from the increasing volume of bans and post deletions occurring on (then) Twitter, and as soon as it became the anti-X refuge for the Left, the amount of banning and post-deleting (and demands for the same) skyrocketed, along with the death threats.

"groyper accounts"
E-celebs, like anime, will come to be seen as a huge mistake.

So this story has rendered me confused.
My vow of monastic stoicism a few years ago precludes my activity in what is generally regarded as 'social media.'
Leftists concerned about censorship. LOL!

Yep
Unfortunately, conservatives = far right.

Exactly. The story has the patina of petty High School social pecking order
Vox Day. There's a name I haven't heard in a while. How's his alternative reality holding up?
To the modern left, "far right" just means "anyone who doesn't suck dicks". The term passed through the Overton window long ago and is on its way to Alpha Centauri.

Hey, anime is a legitimate art form! E-celebs, well, yeah, you have a point there.
100%
The left are so in love with their crooks and liars - they made one president.
"Anime was a mistake" - Hiyao Miyazaki, one of original creators of anime

Links groyped without substance.
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
Hilarious. Advice: If you leftists don't like X, start your own (oh, they already did?)
Like I'd trust an amime creator to know anything about art!
Yes, and it's filled with death threats and pedophilia.
To the modern left, "far right" just means "anyone who doesn't suck dicks".
How old are you? 13? I would expect such a comment from a middle-schooler.
And are you including women who suck dicks? If so, then I will definitely stay away from "far right" women.
Fredo has made it known for a long time that he is not "far right", so...

So, you are in middle school.
So, you do suck.

"I have no idea what a "groyper" is..."
I spent half a minute on Wikipedia and learned that it is a variant of Pepe the Frog.

When gropers meet gripers, groypers result?

(goes to Wikipedia to look up Pepe the Frog…)
You do realize that your two posts reinforce my original post.
You do realize that you still suck, and pretty much everyone here thinks so. Have you tried being a bit more "far right"? You might suck less...
