"Well, she’s — I’m in constant contact with her. She’s aware of where — we all — we’re singing from the same song sheet."

"We — she helped pass the l- — all the laws that are being employed now. She was a major player in everything we’ve done, including passage of legislation, which we were told we could never pass. And so, she’s been — and her — her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we’re doing."

Said President Biden, at the end of his press conference today, when he was asked what role Kamala Harris has played working on the "crises" of the last few days.

It almost seems designed to hurt her, but perhaps we can credit him with being so out of touch that he thought this was helpful. Has he not noticed that she's been trying to appear unattached to the Biden administration?

Acting President Kamala Harris has ordered the US military to kill some brown people for Israel.

I'm guessing she's not going to win Minnesotastan after all.

When asked for a comment, Kamala Harris said, "Who is Joe Biden?"

Yes you can. You're never going to get Biden to admit that his policies did nothing but cause and exacerbate problems. There's no way he could ever see that Harris might want to disassociate from him.

You gotta know that if Harris does lose the election next month, Joe and Jill Biden are going to say, "I told you so" to more than just a few people.

Ok. Except it wasn't ended, only postponed. They managed to convince labor leaders to support the Dem team and postpone the strike until after the election. [slow golf clap]
For postponing, the due payers are being offered a smaller raise package and none of the other issues they wanted, such as less automation. Keep paying chumps!

If you believe that "Climate Change" is a thing and that the hurricane season is going to be "above-normal", wouldn't the prudent thing to do be to hold in reserve whatever funds you can in the event things turn out the way you are predicting they will instead of spending money supporting an illegal alien invasion?

Asking for a friend.

The unionists realized they would look bad holding a strike while people were dying a few hundred miles away in North Carolina.

Inga cheers as red state people suffer. FEMA is not only completely failing to help anyone but they are now trying to stop anyone else from doing their job for them.

Everyone in this administration who drained FEMA funds to ship in illegals should be tried for treason.

The thing about an above normal season is- we don't even have a true baseline of what a normal season is. Before satellites, Kirk and Leslie and some of the others we've had this year that started out and ended in the ocean would never have been noticed by anyone but a few mariners. Some of whom wouldn't survive the experience.

I really don't care how many start and end in the ocean. The only ones that count are the ones that impact land. Seems to average about 20 per DECADE. So year to year isn't even all that important a measure.

As for the flooding in TN and NC- all of it occurred on existing flood plains. How did they get to be flood plains? Because it flooded there in the past- maybe before there was anyone around to record it. So the flooding is not unprecedented- just unprecedented in the historical era.

Some people don't pay attention to such things. One of my sons went on a camping trip where the leaders of that troop allowed the Scouts to set up too close to the river bank. Two Scouts were cut out of their tent before it was let go and floated away downstream. And it wasn't yet raining at the campsite. That came a few minutes later...

All the Scouts had a grand old time and remember the excitement. The leaders not so much. Was a camping trip I missed...

Yes - Inga - FEMA blew a pile of money of illegals. As directed.
"FEMA has spent more than $1 billion on border-related matters because of the emergency situation it has presented to border communities and cities within the U.S. that have received high numbers of immigrants.

Data on FEMA’s website show that Congress funded more than $1 billion in fiscal years 2023 and 2024 to reimburse nonprofits and state and city governments that paid for shelter and food to help immigrants released by the Border Patrol."

However Biden and Harris signed onto to those agendas. So Biden is correct. Yes his political skills are fading acknowledging that . Plus he is angry and that anger leads him to sabotage Harris.

Many affected areas in the Appalachians were not flood plains, they were mountainous regions that had not seen significant flooding in over a century. That’s why so much of the damage was unexpected. In some places whole towns have been washed away. I know some snarky progressives were blaming the victims for building in “flood plains” this is the first time I’ve seen it show up here. Is this the new normal, that we start blaming victims before the survivors are rescued or the bodies have all been recovered or at least tabulated? That’s pretty fucked up, almost as bad as the federal response to this disaster. Lastly anyone who thinks Kemp is praising Biden’s performance is not paying attention.

It is amazing Achilles how the media are ignoring the most boneheaded statement ever made by a US president during an ongoing disaster. Disregarding how stunning the implications are for his mental fitness, the fact he is so disengaged with the ongoing events that the word “storm” doesn’t ring a bell shows us that everyone around Biden is trying to move on, as they say, and pretend nothing is happening in NC or TN.
