I watched Season 5, Episode 10 last night — the one where Richard needs Larry's kidney but won't let Larry use his golf club.
I see here, at Consequence, that I can watch 5 great scenes with Richard Lewis, including this ("Congratulations on the intercourse"):
But I'd like a list of whole episodes with a strong Richard Lewis presence.

When Sheryl sees Larry's shrink at the beach in a high rise bathing suit and both Larry and Richard have to quit his practice on the same day.
When they have a brawl at the jewelry store vestibule when they both want to buy the same bracelet.
When they decorate the blind piano players' apartment.
I take it it's not scripted.
It's scripted but the dialogue is improvised.

What strikes me is how 24 years of time isn't kind to people in their early 50s- which both David and Lewis were in that scene. You usually don't get to see it so starkly that way- one video to the next (yesterday's to today's)- most people experience that decay as a continuum and the memory hazes it all over to a comforting degree. I am going to be 58 in July, and I am already 5 years older than Lewis and David were in that episode. I am not sure I want to be 76 years old, ever.
I've watched all of the 'Curbs' once I stole my son's HBOMax.
Pretty light stuff but entertaining.
Larry David writes very formulaic scripts. There's always a 'thing' (doesn't matter what it is) and that thing becomes a problem. The problem is then resolved (or not) by bringing that thing back into the last scene.
It is amusing but hardly ever laugh out loud funny.
JFKJr's wife, who plays David's wife on the show, has the perfect look for the character but is not in the same league as the other actors when it comes to improv. It's as if she wrote her lines earlier and is determined to say them even if the conversation shifts.
Lewis was great. He seems like he was the same in real life as what we saw on screen. He makes Eeyore seem like an optimist.
The best character is Bob Einstein (Super Dave Osborne) who plays Funkhouser. He steals every scene he's in.
And I realized that David could have used anyone to play the Seinfeld character. The writing and the tone of Seinfeld and Curb is the same. It's all Larry David. Jerry was really lucky to have been at the right place at the right time...
The one where Larry notices a mole while staring at Richard's "endowed" girlfriend and she ends up getting a breast reduction, breaking Richard's heart. Is it called "What's half of a DD"?
Season 8, Episode 2, "The Safe House" is a great one, when Lewis is dating a burlesque dancer.

So glad to see so many people (around the net) praising Richard Lewis's work.
I'm still a bigger fan of his earlier stand up work, and never really spent more time than a trial run here or there with 'Curb'. But I did go through some of the video ronetc linked to at 11:27 and heard one of the best lines ever. In an argument over affirmative action: "I see it in the historical sense, but not in a nice day sense." You gotta watch the video. Hilarious line.
Git outta town by sundown. Was that line ever said in even the cheapest grade-Z western? Maybe. It would have been significant in Bille the Kid Versus Dracula, the magnum opus of William "One Shot" Beaudine.
