Trump's Iowa victory speech: "I really think it's time now for everybody — our country — to come together. We want to come together — whether it's Republican or Democrat or liberal or conservative."

"It would be so nice if we could come together and straighten out the world, straighten out the problems, and straighten out all the death and destruction.... We're gonna come together. It's gonna happen soon too. It's gonna happen soon."

Trump as The Uniter.

That's a first for me, and surely this message will be mocked and reviled by our Leftist friends.

Yeah nah, come together is not the mood at the moment…

“Straighten out the world”. Thing is he means it. Thing is he wants to NEGOTIATE it. Can’t have that!

Democrats didn't get to watch Trump's speech since their preferred media cut away from it and refused to air Trump's comments. Rachel Maddow will tell them what he probably said and of course according to her Trump was racist and xenophobic. That is all CNN and MSNBC's viewers need to know in order to be well-informed. I bet every leftist can tell you what Trump supposedly said, but few of them actually took the trouble to listen to his speech.

A civil union of millions! How novel.

He's looking to the general election where Bobby is persuasive on this issue. Smart.

CNN and MSNBC censored and didn't show Trump's victory speech. No big deal. They are evil propaganda outlets.

The monkey wrench in their plan is Musk buying Twitter.

I think the NYT and WaPost don’t fully comprehend the degree to which people are voting for Trump, even when the voters aren’t fully on board with Trump policies, because they are deeply troubled by the use of the federal gov’t and the judicial system to attempt to influence the election outcome. Older people especially remember the Watergate scandal for doing exactly this, and believe the only way to drive a stake through the heart of this approach to politics is to deliver a resounding defeat to Biden and the Democrats in 2024. It isn’t essentially support for Trump, though it appears that way because electing Trump seems (in Jan 2024) to be the only way to defeat Biden decisively and send the message “no using government to achieve electoral victories."

after giving it much thought*, i decided to caucus for Vivek.
After more thoughts, and more listening.. I started to think he was a better choice than Trump.
Now i will Gladly hop right back on the Trump steamroller..
When Nikki drops out, her supporters will go back to the democrat camp, where they ALWAYS were.
I will NEVER vote for NIKKI.. EVER

thought* I decided that Trump would win big even without my vote.

He was right before he was wrong or didn't follow through. A second chance? Perhaps.

The neocons hate anybody who talks to the rabble, who are supposed to provide their children as soldiers, about peace. I see that there has been a rash of helicopter accidents at sea with many people on board. Nobody here though should imagine that casualty laundering is underway.

Negotiation is humiliation to Joe Biden. His playing around with techniques of national manipulation perfected by the German Nazis is more than a little concerning, too. One of their favorites is accusing the other side of whatever they are doing, because it confuses the normies.

The weirdest thing of all about this is how healthy and strong Trump looks. Most people age a decade in the White House, he looked on touch. Most people who are looking at for criminal prosecutions and potential prison time show some stress. He looks better than ever. He’s clearly lost weight, but it looks healthy on him. The man is a spectacular physical specimen whatever else you wanna say about him.

This was definitely the most presidential speech I've ever seen Trump give. Haven't seen them all so maybe he's done it before but I haven't seen it. I see it now though and I hear it loud and clear. He can taste it and he's hungry absolutely famished. Nothing is going to stand between him and the prize. I would love to be a fly on the wall at the DNC right now. Shitting bricks.

Good for Trump. Sorry it will fall on deaf ears. The liberal/left are full of hate, and GOPe is uninterested in "The good of the country". All these morons want is 4 more years of Biden. Because..y'know its been so great.

They'll never change their tune until they get hurt PERSONALLY. As Franklin said "Experience keeps a dear school, but fools will learn in no other". The Democrats could literally dig up Joe Stalin and run him for POTUS, and Minnasota, Washington, and Colorado would troop to the polls and vote for him.

I am sad to say ( as I sample my craft beer ) that being a life-ling teetotaler seems to be a pretty good plan. Cracks open another. :)

Lefties on social media I view are trying to say it's Trump who is showing signs of age and cognitive decline. One suspects that, like not seeing Trump's speech they have NEVER seen videos of Wandering Joe trying to string six words together.

I think it's funny that Trump complains about voter fraud but is now reveling in the win of a primary in a state where the voting system involves people sitting around a steakhouse writing names on a post-it note.

Rich stole this talking point from Twitter. Also, in a small gathering like a caucus, honesty is built in because everyone is observing the whole process. If you are going to crib political jibes, you should try to pick more effective ones.

Rich seems to have two modes. He either blatantly cribs from another source, or he posts obviously AI generated content.

Coming together is a nice sentiment. But it falls on deaf ears, including mine.

The left wants nothing to do with conservatives like me. And I want nothing to do with them. We're far beyond the point of coming together.

He complains about breaking the rules and fraud. He revels in a win within the rules.

I can see why your posts are considered "rich".
