More leaks from purported Special Counsel Jack Smith intended to bolster his case against Trump after a bad week?
CBS News...
Special Counsel Jack Smith has “sprawling” evidence against President Trump, CBS News reporter Robert Costa said citing sources.
“And it’s evident to me, based on my conversations with sources, that Jack Smith has a sprawling case against former President Donald Trump,” Costa said.
Um, I don’t think Costa or his sources checked the definition of “sprawling.”
- spread out over a large area in an untidy or irregular way,
- spreading in a messy or untidy way,
- to spread or develop irregularly or without restraint,
- to be stretched or spread out in an unnatural or ungraceful manner
Clyde's Top 15 Favorite "New" Songs of 2023 - Part 11 of 16 - #6 - "The Night Shift Lullaby" - Magnolia Electric Co. (Feat. Jennie Benford) - What Comes After the Blues (2005)
This song came up on a Discovery Mix and it really resonated emotionally with me, as someone who worked on the night shift for 24 years. I then listened to the rest of the album, as well as a couple of other albums by Magnolia Electric Co., and quickly discovered that this song was unlike anything else that the band did, primarily because it was the only song on which Jennie Benford sang lead. Her vocal here is vulnerable, and the harmony vocals from Jason Molina provide just the right touch.
Magnolia Electric Co. was a project by Jason Molina (1973 - 2013), a prolific singer-songwriter and musician from northern Ohio who was also known for his earlier work with Songs: Ohia. Much of the music that this band created was reminiscent of Neil Young and Crazy Horse, and Molina was not subtle about the homage. An album titled Trials & Errors, recorded at a live concert in Brussels, Belgium in 2003 and released in 2005, is perhaps the best example of that. Molina had alcohol problems that led to him to being unable to work after 2009, and he died in 2013 of multiple organ failure caused by alcohol abuse. Hold the bottle, don't let it hold you.
While I absolutely loved this song, I also liked the other songs that the band performed, and the album Trials & Errors got a lot of play this year as well. There is a live version of this song on YouTube from Jason Molina's memorial concert in 2013, but I chose to use the album version here.

You certainly have been if you believe the made-up international fabulations posted by the fictional Tyler Durden (played by Brad Pitt in "The Fight Club") on Zerohedge and don't understand that John Solomon has made up Ukraine stories for years tailored to help TFG.
@Wince Um, I don’t think Costa or his sources checked the definition of “sprawling.”
They likely did and did it very carefully. They want to stick negative connotations about Trump's 'offenses' to a neutral/irrelevant term. Still, it's not "inconceivable" that some numbskull echoed The Princess Bride per "I don't think it means what you think it means."
Add sprawling to "collusion" -- where any team effort, legal consultation, or party coordination is smeared as illegal and inappropriate. Pot calls kettle black.
"A historic pay raise for federal workers is quite a slap in the face to the private sector employees who will fund the pay raise, as they struggle under the increased gas and grocery prices we've come to expect under Bidenomics."
Biden’s Wins @BidensWins
BREAKING: President Biden just enacted a historic 5.2% pay raise for federal workers. This is the largest pay raise since 1980. This is another example of President Biden’s commitment to building an economy from the bottom up and middle out. 12:00 PM · Dec 25, 2023
Doesn’t Congress control the purse strings? How does Biden dole out a pay increase while budget not yet settled? By what authority? Honestly. It’s time for a 5.2% employee reduction, at least.
So why is Meta's Zuckerdork building a $270 million self-contained underground bunker in Hawaii? Why would he feel the need to build this? Usually the wealthy want to flaunt their digs. Weird.
California is really sticking it to its residents. The minimum wage for fast food workers is increasing to $20/hr from $16/hr. Two Pizza Hut operators are laying off their delivery drivers because of that. It will be dine-in or pick up, no delivery unless Grub Hub, Uber, etc. are doing the delivery. So Pizza Hut drivers are screwed. Economics 101 still rules in California, despite what the state legislature may do.
In other California news, its effort to make the rich "pay their fare share" is causing the rich to flee California. So, instead raising revenue, California will lose revenue. Economics 101 rules again.
In Washington state, their are two initiatives to repeal the capital gains tax (I-2109) and to ban all state income taxes at all levels of government (I-2011). Both have enough signatures (>420,000, 350,000 required) to go to the state legislature for approval or to the 2024 general election if the state legislature doesn't approve them. Washingtonians hate income taxes, but our Decivilizer, aka Democrats, betters in the state legislature love them. The Decivilizer government can never tax and spend enough. Greedy government.

There used to be a bar near me called "Just One More Lounge." I always read it differently from the way they probably intended.
