"Meta has adopted an internal list of Vietnamese Communist Party officials who should not be criticized on Facebook..."

"... said two former employees in Asia, who, like the others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid retribution. This list, which is kept private even within the company and has not been publicly reported on before, is included in guidelines used in controlling online content and was shaped in large part by Vietnamese authorities, the former employees said.... Meta is preparing to tighten content controls further after being told by officials in recent months that it would otherwise have to store data on servers inside Vietnam, raising alarms about privacy and information security, according to people with knowledge of the company’s internal discussions.... In a statement, Rafael Frankel, Meta’s director for public policy in Southeast Asia, said the company is proud of its investments in Vietnam. 'Our focus,' he said, 'is ensuring as many Vietnamese people as possible are able to use our platform to build community and express themselves.'"

How long until the censoring tech companies admit that their internal US Woke practices reflect displaced guilt for their international lies and corruption?

China good. Vietnam good. Saudi Arabia good. Having doubts about COVID. Evil. Wanting children to wait until puberty to make life-long body modification decisions. Evil. All things Islamic. Good. All things Christian. Evil.

Hold Zuckerberg to his own standards...update the judicial practice of making slumlords live in their own buildings.

The NE state senator who was screaming on the floor of the Unicameral has decided to block me and others for "cyber bullying" and spreading misinformation on LGBTQ issues.

I told her that I just filed a brief in the NE S. Ct today and I don't want to see a reply brief filed. LOL.

When any government, including the U.S., attempts to put pressure on Facebook, or Twitter, or any internet company, the company should just loudly announce they are about to leave that country's internet. The public outcry would soon force all but the most repressive governments to back down.

If any American company is proven to bow to such pressure, they should be sanctioned here in the U.S..

Here is an interesting little website that is provided for "people who work in the public interest," and which bypasses your privacy settings on Facebook.

whopostedwhat.com is a non public Facebook keyword search for people who work in the public interest. It allows you to search keywords on specific dates. You are granted access because of your work.

I suspect they have a similar list for US officials too. I also suspect that Twitter did too, as every time I said something critical of Hillary, activity on my tweets dropped.

Never, ever forget, that this company is the fruit of Zuckerberg's desire to more efficiently objectify college girls. POS.

Wait. Meta is run by Elon Musk now? I'm SO confused.

Fuck it. Bring back Linebacker II.

Meta is upset that they don't have the same sort of control that actual communist states have.

It would be a wonderful piece of political theater if Meta put out a press release and put at the top of Facebook in Vietnam: "The government of Vietnam requires that the following not be criticized on Facebook. Please post accordingly."

Jason: "Fuck it. Bring back Linebacker II."

To bomb Meta HQ?

A provocative suggestion.

Shut them all down. What's the point of social media? Nothing is real.

Don’t be too hard on Zuck for selling out to the commies. After all, he needs the money if he’s going to catch up to Elon.

Reminds me of that time the anti-war movement turned out to just be pro-Vietcong.
