A 70-year-old woman said to a waitress that Volodymyr Zelensky is a "handsome young man" and that "everyone used to laugh at his jokes."

This happened at a café in Nalchik, Russia, where other customers called the police, who told her "You have no right to praise him because he is our enemy." She was fined 40,000 rubles ($490).

No different than the future which Stalinist wokesters have every intention of imposing upon America at the earliest possible chance. Already well along in Canada.

I wonder if this babushka has seen some of his earlier music video work in tight-fitting leather and matching pumps. I hear 70 hear old Russian women love that.

Now, that's what I call shocking criminalization of freedom of speech!

She is lucky the Russian government wasn't as ruthless as the DoJ.

At least she wasn't imprisoned for insurrection.

Did Russia put her on a kill list and then assassinate her? Because that's how Ukraine deals with these kinds of people.

Oh wait, JKLOL. Didn't mean it, Mr FBI guy. I forgot that we don't have free speech anymore in America. That was just a joke, Ukraine didn't kill Daria, the Russians did it, because they were mad at her father for not being even more pro-Russian that he was!

I read in the Telegraph last week that the Ukrainians were the ones attacking that nuclear power plant, but that must have been a lie, because this week Yahoo assures me that the Russians continue to attack the nuclear power plant, which they have controlled for months!

What I am trying to say is that if it is written in the Western press, you can take it to the bank and it's a thought crime to question it.

There are no details in that story that convince me it is true. The only Russian language version I've found so far is the original one from the Memorial activist site.

It may be true, but it has the level of detail that an urban legend has.

It's a shame you didn't tag this story as *criminalization of politics," as you did with the immediately previous story because this juxtaposition is wild.
