Musk tweet: Starlink V2, launching next year, will transmit direct to mobile phones, eliminating dead zones worldwide.

I'm thinking if you are hiking, and you break a leg in the middle of nowhere. Many people die that way every year.

So, we are relaunching missions to the Moon tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden and the anti-Trumpers are too busy being Joe Biden and anti-Trumpers, so this HUGE development going unnoticed by practically everyone.

A rocket bigger than the Saturn V. But man is it ugly. They couldn't do a nice paint job?

One of the top 10 causes of death right now in our friendly neighbors to the North is euthanasia. #6 IIRC. Their healthcare system recently offered one of their veterans who went in for help an assisted suicide- which is what euthanasia w. Here in the gun owning wilds of the USA our Veteran’s Administration runs a suicide hotline to help them reconsider the decision and come in for the help they need.
1-800-273-8255 and apparently you can now dial just 988 to be connected. Posted that should there be any veterans among the readers here feeling down and out and ready to give up.

But not to worry. Canada is a civilized country unlike the USA. They’ve eliminated the death penalty for criminals.

Eliminated it for criminals. And like the Netherlands which is leading the world in it, encouraging people to kill themselves after their productive tax paying life is over.

Oops. Sorry. Very sorry.

I left out the most important part of the resurrection of the missions to the Moon. The people who will set foot on the Moon next will include a woman and person of color.

The Hopeless gadfly's hero, Adam Kinzinger, made a strong play today to defeat Abraham Cheney (D-DC/Pelosi/Northern VA) for the coveted "I hate conservatives" "conservative" (wink wink) slot on MSNBC.

Adam went ALL IN on supporting far left democraticals in the 2022 elections and tossed in strong support for Hillary Clinton as well!

Far left democraticals and Hillary Clinton.

You know, like all "True Conservatives" do to help "conserve" "conservatism".

Suppose someone went to UW-Madison and that person (and their parents) have paid off the student loans. But all three are still paying state taxes for the support of UWM. And now they'll have to pay Federal taxes to pay off student debt for others. Double taxing? but they haven't had a vote on how their own state school is funded. Taxation without representation? Shouldn't they get at least a tax credit for paying off their own loan which balances the tax they are being charged for other people's loans?

Happy Warrior said...

One question for those of the lawyerly persuasion: I've read that legal challenges to the student debt forgiveness stunt will have a difficult time establishing standing. I understand the concept of standing to be that the person bringing suit has to personally been damaged by the act. My two thoughts/questions are: 1. Isn't every tax-payer going to be damaged by having to pay taxes (eventually) to pay the debt that is incurred in the forgiveness? and 2 wouldn't Congressional representatives have standing to sue the executive branch for encroaching on the constitutional requirement that all financial matters be initiated in the House?

My wife's good English friend (Fellow cultist) complained today that her long-anticipated attendance at the next star-studded bash there may not be possible--they are facing 500 pd. monthly rate increases for power soon.

They have been blithely hoping to participate in that and other events as if the world any longer had a normal to return to.

So... Read a teaser today about this upcoming “fictional” movie (September 7 release) called My Son Hunter, which is about you-know-who's son and all his wonderful antics. Released through Breitbart and produced by an org called Unreported Story Society.

The "About" page for Unreported Story Society.

Otherwise clueless about the movie or producers. All new to me.

Drago tells many lies just like Trump.

Adam Kinzinger's term in the House representing Illinois 16 ends January third and he chose not to run again so he was not on the ballot for the Republican primary on June 28, 2022.

Lots of people dislike Trump and there is nothing criminal about saying so. At least Adam didn't steal classified records, didn't rape women, and yes he is a conservative which you obviously don't know what that means.

Perhaps Drago could honor us with some honest thoughts explaining why we should all love Trump the Grifter from back in the day when he ripped his tenants off to present when he continues to rip off taxpayers by actually charging the government for providing free security services for the entire Trump family.

Ah, you left out a key fact my friend. His new found democrat friends redistricted his house seat out of existence. This after he kissed up to them by thrashing President Trump.

Oh why were they forced to redistrict? People fleeing democrat run Illinois. Illinois has lost at least one seat in each of the last five census counts, losing seven in all. In 1970, the state was at 24, but lost two seats in 1980, two in 1990 and one in each of the last three censuses.

Steve Hayward, John Yoo, and Lucretia (mostly John) discussed this early in the 3WHH @ PowerLine

If I remember John's answer correctly, until some point, maybe as late as the 1990s, the USSC was pretty loose about standing to sue the government but has tightened up considerably. John pointed to a case from the GHWB admin where a group of taxpayers sued to stop the US from funding a dam in Egypt on the grounds that it would eliminate the habitat of some crocodiles and deprive them of the ability to see them. At that point the USSC laid out that you need to point to both some real harm caused to you and that it was specifically different than simply wasting your tax money like they are wasting everybody else's. They also have tightened up considerably on allowing suits from Congresscritters. The three discussed a possible angle of a college like Hillsdale that doesn't accept any government money (including government student loans) or one of their graduates bringing a suit but thought even that might be a stretch.

I've been waiting for this moment for all my life.

I always thought "one giant leap for all mankind" was exclusive.

My one concern is that "diversity is our strength" doesn't work so well in a control booth. I hope everyone comes back alive.

One last thought: Since when is white not a color?

He was not on the ballot because his district was eliminated by democrats you lying sack of shit.

Lots of people dislike Trump and there is nothing criminal about saying so. At least Adam didn't steal classified records, didn't rape women, and yes he is a conservative which you obviously don't know what that means.

What classified records did he steal? None. He legally declassified them like every other president in history has done. This is obviously true and undeniable.

Who did Trump rape? Nobody. Ever. The only accusations have been so ridiculous even other democrats gave that up but you are still here stupidly pushing it. It takes a particularly disgusting person to say something like that.

And to top it off you support Joe Biden who is an actual known rapist.

You are just a completely dishonest piece of shit and you repeat the same stupid obviously untrue garbage over and over.

Your comment caused me to think about darkness. Strange leap, I know. Darkness = the absence of light. Your home is constantly in darkness. Light must be added to remove darkness, either with artificial light or the sun/ moon. Our lives are in darkness. That is unless light is added. Some may get this.

The Hopelessly Hopeless gadfly: "Drago tells many lies just like Trump."

Kinzinger came out swinging for far left democraticals and defending Hillary Clinton yesterday on live national TV.

The Hopeless gadfly is now asserting Kinzinger did not do that.

LOL

The Hopeless gadfly then accelerates his/her/xer's descent into utter intellectual oblivion and complete mendacity, as always and as expected of loyal leftists like him/her/xer's-self, by taking my factual statement that Kinzinger is competing with Abraham Cheney (D-DC/Pelosi/Northern VA) for coveted MSDNC and CNN-DNC "conservative" anti-conservative talking head slots and "refutes" that by addressing how Kinzinger the Coward bailed out on running again in newly formed districts in IL because Kinzinger has been exposed as a far left democratical and Hillary Clinton supporter. (see above)

It's all in a day's work for our Hopeless gadfly as he/she/xe flits about spewing whatever the latest far left New Soviet Democratical talking points happen to be lying around.

Next up for gadfly: why Liz Warren represents the Truest of the True Blue Conservative Vision for America! (David French/Jonah "Goucher College All-Star!" Goldberg/Lincoln Pedophile Project would all heartily approve!)

Gahrie: "The SLS launch has me conflicted. Part of me wants it to succeed, to promote US interests in space. Part of me wants it to blow up on launch so hopefully Congress wakes up, cancels SLS and finally gets behind SpaceX and Starship."

gadfly's beloved DC Democratical bureaucrats are in a pickle: Musk and Spacex have singlehandedly vaulted the US back to global preeminence in delivery of payloads to orbit and the US democratical/pro-ChiCom/GOPe bureaucrats would love to hinder Spacex to deliver more bucks to the ChiComs (which then comes back to our bureaucrats as kickbacks).

But that would be too obvious, so the hatred the DC'ers feel towards Musk because of his libertarianism and Twitter acquisition strategy and non-union Tesla workforce manifests on the space side with the bureaucracy slowing approvals for Starship infrastructure while the bureaucrats continue to funnel cash the warmed over NASA/Bezos/SpaceIndustrialComplex-permanent jobs programs and politician payoffs all intended to accomplish......what we did in the 1960's.

Pathetic.

Of course, those same DC democraticals and GOPe-ers are also targeting Tesla while the Biden Crush America More plan moves even more electric vehicle manufacturing to Canada and Mexico and heavily rewards Biden's masters in Beijing.

Today's scrub of Artemis brings into serious question the plan to put human beings on top of that rocket on only the second mission.

I certainly would not get in that thing without several firings to ensure that it doesn't blow up on the pad (or in mid-air, like the Shuttle).
