Sunrise with milkweed.

Here's how the sun looked at 5:22 on this, the last day of spring.

And it's time for a new wildflower to take the lead. The golden alexander is fading, and milkweed is on the rise:

Chris Hayes and Harry Lipman (?), a DOJ guy, both agree that Trump should be indicted. Polls agree.

That settles it!

The tubular structure of milkweed down makes it excellent insulation.

I looked on my iPhone's weather app at the weather for Utqiagvik (aka Barrow, Alaska). For the sunset time, it say ">7 days - No sunset today." Meanwhile, in Quito, Ecuador, sunrise was 6:12 a.m., sunset is 6:18 p.m. How strange would it be to live someplace where the day and night are of almost equal length year-round? And even though it is located just north of the Equator, Quito is not hot and steamy, because it's at 9350 feet elevation in the Andes foothills.

When you think about it, every place on Earth gets the same number of total hours of daylight and darkness over the course of a year, it's just divided up differently.

Monarchs strive on milkweed which is poisonous to most. Nature. Gotta love it.

I wish they just got on with it and made the Constantine sequel.

Nice pic of milkweed. The Monarch butterflies lay their eggs only on milkweed and their caterpillars eat only milkweed leaves: so no milkweed means no Monarchs, which is very sad, both because they are beautiful and because they are good pollinators.

I know this because my spouse told me.

I spent Juneteenth in deep thought, contemplating all of the ways republicans helped black people escape slavery, the KKK, and the Jim Crow laws of the democrat South.

It should be renamed 'Democrats are racist assholes' day.

Once again....Progressives can do whatever they want with no consequences....any wonder why we are so divided?? Imagine if this were MTG's staffer??? https://justthenews.com/government/congress/democrat-congressmans-staffer-caught-defacing-posters-capitol-complex-doj-wont

It's been 13 days since the attempted assassination of Judge Kavenaugh, and Joe Biden has YET to condemn it. He is fine with it. What else could you take from his ignoring it?? If it were a Progressive Judge, we all know he would be on it, and the Progressive propaganda stations would be screeching 24/7

The thing about trying Trump in a court of law, is that Nancy Pelosi will not have veto power on the defenses that Trump could present, as she did during the three shams.

Of course if they can steer the case to Judge Sullivan, they can get a jury pool that will ignore the facts again, as was admitted by the jury foreman in the Sussman case, and simply convict him regardless. I hope they do indict him though, the trial would be ratings gold.

I recommend that you *do not read* "The Guns of August," which is an account of how WWI started, because we seem to be reliving it; if you read it, you will not sleep well.

Lithuania just poked Russia in the eye and expects NATO to defend her. I remember once in high school, there was a girl who was of Lithuanian descent, and during social studies class, she lets out with "Lithuanians have the purest white blood in the world." I think of that when the subject of Ukrainian Nazis comes up. Naziism is far from extinguished, and the US has been using Nazis since WWII ended, for ends from opposing the Soviets in eastern Europe , to our space program.

Crime??
Who cares about crime when there are celebrity parties to attend???
This narcissist is making New York City into San Francisco......and he doesn't care.
He just loves to hang with the celebrities just like Obama.

My Kubota compact tractor will be delivered early Friday morning. I sat in it yesterday after I went over to the Kubota dealer to look at zero-turn lawn mowers. Not many of those to be had, especially those which use a Kawasaki engine. Kawasaki is moving its factory so engines are in short supply. The only mowers they had in stock were $8500+, just a little pricey for me.

I feel off my shoes yesterday.

One minute I was ready to descend a couple of stairs out of the eye doctor’s office, the next I was kneeling on the tar. Wtf? I’m too young to have lost my balance. I think: the decking was a man-made material(plastic?) &I was ready to lift off w/the left foot which caused the right to slip forward. Trying not to fall, when falling, awakens sleeping muscles that are so pissed off the next day! I twisted my left ankle, but not enough to really hurt it and I’ve got a penny-sized circle of a future scab on one knee. My jeans weren’t ripped, though.

All in all- it’s a great outcome. The 1st thing out of my mouth:
And here I’ve been saying old Joe had issues!!

Humility comes in many forms. I’m thinking only my mom saw what happened.
I’m the one that takes her arm when we’re walking lol.

Prof. Eugene Volokh (UCLA) at the Volokh Conspiracy blog at Reason observes that: [quoting…]

From Mexico News Daily Friday:

“Mexico City court has ordered tech giant Google to pay more than 4 billion pesos (US $196.4 million) to a Mexican lawyer for allowing defamatory information to be published about him on a blogging platform it owns.

“Ulrich Richter Morales, a criminal lawyer, initiated legal action against the multinational technology company in 2015 due to its hosting on its Blogger platform of a blog that linked him to drug trafficking, money laundering and the falsification of documents.

“The blog, which remains online, but hasn't been updated since 2014…”

That's the worst comeback ever.

Every liberal wants to memory-hole the fact that Democrats enslaved and murdered blacks for well over a hundred years.

But nice try...

Lol, I opened a twitter account when Musk started to buy it, engagement started to drop when I took an antiwar stance, but slowly I was building followers again, and even got the occasional like from bigger accounts, but today I got retweeted by a big account, and suddenly my account is being choked, rate limited, as if I were a bot. If their case is so strong, "shut up" would not be their best argument.

Just as well, I can't change it. NATO wants this war, and nothing is going to stand in their way, certainly not the truth about how we and the Nazis overthrew the elected government in Ukraine in 2014 and spent the next 8 years preparing for war with Russia with US help, and then provoked the attack by launching artillery barrages on ethnic Russian Ukrainian civilians while Russia had troops massed on the border. All of the above is true.

Caesar wrote about drawing armies into battle by attacking the fighters' homes and families. It's an old tactic.

Ha ha, I am Lithuanian and I know what you are talking about (sadly). These people are crazy, trust me. I understand their mentality and view the conflict in Ukraine trough a lens that could be difficult to understand and appreciate for some people born and raised in the US. Lithuania has attention seeking personality disorder.
