The singing of the office memo was good, except I'm going to attribute that memo as pertaining to her and I'm sort of annoyed that she's mocking a serious situation of her failure to perform her duties as an employee.

The gay dude seemed taken aback by the reality of her response. She's not WRONG. But he couldn't deal.

The baby birds were great - the perfect TikTok. Unexpected, cute and short. The winner!

I note that we didn't hear anything about a massive dick in #3.

I believe the women think that's what they want in a guy. I think the guys are right too, in that the "ideal man" they're describing is the one that's going to have the best chance to talk to the women long enough for her to see that he can keep up the banter and that she can have interesting talks with him. Lots of guys might be able to provide that caring connection the women want but they will all get swiped left with no chance to show who they are.

All I could think about wanting during the video was for them to get better audio equipment.

The asymmetry between asking males what they think females secretly want, and asking women what desiderata they are willing to publicly own up to should be apparent to all but the committed misandrist.

Great job, Ann! Body painting was amazing! "That sound outdoors" was wonderful and news I could use. 8-) Good on the hate crime woman, she has thought it through. KGB/LGB hahahahah!

Inter office memo for the win. Best vid of the list. And most salient.

What's with the incessant TikTok videos? Are you getting cash payments from the CCP or something?

Both sets of people were answering a question and speaking to the camera. Since you are keen on paying attention, I hope you noticed how I framed it carefully: "What boys say when asked what girls want, and how does that line up with what girls say they want?" The "what boys say" and the "what girls say" stresses that this is what they SAY, i.e., how they choose to present themselves. They may also be deceiving themselves. That's why it's interestingly complex and worth watching!

Your statement, ironically, suffers from asymmetry. If you really cared about symmetry, you would have written "asking males what they are willing to say publicly about what they imagine women want."

I'm late on this one, but I loved 'the hate crime is coming from inside the house'. That lady seemed to nail it. At least for me. And it caught the guy completely off guard.

But the best one was the first one. The body painter was very cool. And even though I loved Led Zeppelin 3 and 'The Immigrant Song', the painter and the inside hate crime were the winners.

3. I had no idea that height was so important in high school sex relations. Man! All the boys knew it and half the girls admitted it.

4. I loved her expression when the song was over.

6. I was distracted by their shirts being backwards. Are they filming themselves in a mirror?

Then I was asking myself why she is segregating Tik Tok into "black Tik Tok" and "indigenous Tik Tok" and "caucasian Tik Tok"?

I had to stop and start over from the beginning.

The second time I watched it, I was like, get a dog, girlie. A big dog will solve all your problems and bring peace to humanity and/or fuck up whatever problematic animal is out there.

Also, curiosity kills the cat but it's also the only way to progress and move forward. Hiding in your house is no way to live.

Finally I concluded that he's filming himself laughing so that she will know that her racial stereotyping is fine as long as she confirms that she is a dummy.

7. He's a low-down dirty dog. Oh, the abuse that dogs get for their love and high character. Bitch! Low-down dirty dog! That's what you get, canines, for throwing in with humanity like you do.

Also, "you know who she is" was funny. I think it was funny because if the class all knows who it is, then her whole talk is pointless, because everybody's informed already. And then I was like, "that girl feels really bad now." She's looking around, going, "do they all know it was me?" And that's when I realized that the whole point of the talk was for the teacher to dissuade principal-school girl sexual relations by openly attacking the man and subtly attacking the girl, too. Damn!

8. That was funny. Calamari farts.

9. This is okay but Dave Chappelle nailed it first.

And let me add... it was notable that virtually all of the men talked abut height, but — as Jupiter points out above — NONE of them mentioned genitalia. So, clearly, the men were editing, presumably out of concern for their image.

In the boys and girls segment, when they were talking physically, they said basically the same thing—tall. When girls talked about intellectual compatibility (which the boys never mentioned), you know every one of them has a guy in their life who’s exactly that, but he’s just a friend. And no matter how much he wants to be her boyfriend, she doesn’t think of him that way and regularly subjects him to inane whinging about how it’s such a shame more boys aren’t like him. (General life tip for young men—if you want to know what girls want, the last thing you should do is ask a girl.)

#9–the woman is exactly right. Everything to the right of the B is doing something different and has different issues. They tacked themselves onto LGB to free-ride off the decades of work the L’s, G’s, and B’s already did. And, this obtuse interviewer notwithstanding, most L’s, G’s, and B’s know it.

Sorry if this shows up twice...blogger gave me an error message.

#4 Smiled throughout her singing and enjoyed her hint of a glance at the camera as she wrapped up.
#2 Short, sweet and a fun surprise
#9 The lady has a point. I've often wondered if the original group LGB have any resentment about all the other letters glomming on to their express train.

It did, but I took out the earlier one.

You can delete reposts yourself. Note the trash icon.

I always delete the *earlier* one when I do it for you, so if you're worried about doing it at the same time, just follow my rule and pick the earlier one to delete.

The height issue is really interesting. The boys all believed in the supreme importance of height, and the girls didn't mention it. Or maybe one girl did.

I wonder how widespread the real feeling of preference for tallness is (as opposed to the belief in it).

Why wouldn't you prefer to be more face-to-face with the person you love? Should the woman always be looking up to the man and the man looking down on her? Is that the way you think it's supposed to be?

I think average height is preferable in a man (and I myself am average height). As far as outward things are concerned, I can name at least 5 that are more important that height. But I won't enumerate them because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

I can't imagine finding a man attractive on the basis of tallness alone, and there is such a thing as too tall!

Loved the interoffice memo. Brilliant.

The lady in the last one wasn't a hater. She was just overthinking it.

I didn't get the response about the big spoon being the winner on the catcalling video. What does that mean?

JK Brown said...

It was interesting the girls couched their "tall" requirement as "taller than me". Advantage short girls as it gives them a larger pool to fish from.

Taller than me may come from the romantic pics that show the woman on her toes as she's being kissed, etc. And that brings up other male traits that come with tallness.

Such as a deeper voice, which comes from "talking down" to people. Tuck your chin and speak, you get a more base tone and definitely lose the nasal tones that come from your head being back just a little, as children and some short women have. I always think of Edward James Olmos as Lieutenant Martin Castillo in the Miami Vice series. He aways spoke with a tucked chin giving Castillo more gravitas. Which is interesting since Don Johnson and the other male lead were the same height 5'9".

Tallness also means the man is looking down so past a woman's eyes so easier to appear to be looking into them when he's looking where all males purportedly look.

The funniest was the interoffice memo.

LGB activist. She could have gone further, and accused the Bs of being freeriders and the Ls and Gs of not having much in common.

Checked out Indigenous TikTok. Learned to avoid Indigenous TikTok. Lots of angry Red people wanting their land back.

I have one for you,

Take a look at the girl who lives alone after she gets home from get off work

Does a lot to explain what the Japanese do with all their money (other than pay high rent).

That video about what women want reminded me of that post that you had a while ago about the guy who had surgery to be taller. I'm 5'-10" so I never really felt that I was too tall or too short. I wonder if more men today obsess about height than when I was a young man. I don't seem to recall men worrying much about that when I was in high school and college.

Also, the teacher's accent was fascinating.

Thanks. That was great. I've seen others like that, including some with a little child operating all the devices.

5'10" is a great height.

In my experience, the best-looking men have all been 5'9" (and I never measured them so they might very well have been 5'8"). I'm 5'5", so I think 4" taller is plenty. Why should I want to feel small?
