I missed this comment earlier. I have to say that someone is crazy, either the owner of the rifle or the person reporting on it. The Tavor is what we call a “bull pup” design, very compact. It is designed for use in urban warfare environments because of its compactness. Point is, you put a telescopic sight on a rifle with a long barrel chambered for rounds designed to go a long way. Not on a rifle with the legal minimum 16” length chambered for rounds like 5.56 NATO. Probably they meant a red dot optical sight, for quick target acquisition at relatively close ranges.
