Have you seen Veep? It’s one of the most cynical shows I’ve ever watched. And it’s altered how I look at politicians and politics. Now, whenever I see or hear a politician, I ask myself, how much is this person like Selena Meyer?

Hillary Clinton scored high on the Selena Meyer scale.
Joe Biden does not. I think he's unfit for the office, but he’s not quite the vicious schemer Meyer was.
Kamala Harris scores as highly in the Selena Meyer scale as Hillary did.

But you can take some heart that part of the package is that Meyer and Clinton were unloved and only sporadically successful politicians because they gave people the creeps. The more they were seen, the less they were liked. Harris is the same.; 11/8/20, 7:32 AM

She certainly played her cards right, but I don't know the game she was playing.....I feel the same way about Kamala. I just don't know what her values are or how those values shaped her. She is foreign to me....I can admit my distance from Melania and people just shrug. My distance from Kamala, however, would undoubtedly be considered as due to evil racism should I be so stupid as enunciate it in public......Kamala, like Obama before her, has had a childhood and parentage that is atypical of most Americans. Well and good. What bothers me is that this remoteness from our shared banality is considered a plus. Racism is the original sin of Americans and since she was born of West Indian and East Indian parents, she was born free of original sin. At birth, she was a better person than any white person whose family had been here for a few generations.....I wonder if Kamala will speak out against the caste system in India and apologize for her family's involvement in that great sin.
