Wow, that looks nothing like "goldenrod" as I grew up with it in NY. Ours had small, almost fuzzy flowers, in little congealed clumps. It wasn't slender or sword-like as yours is. Obviously a completely different plant.

Trump defeats death. Defeating Slow Joe is a piece of cake.

I can tell by the survey called I just got that our Sen Daines is not too sure whether to vote for early confirmation.. LOL. They run, they scurry like little mice. What do the voters think?

I posed as a wobbly independent voter, who just happened to think ACB should be confirmed ASAP. None of my answers made any ideological sense, but these foreign saps they hire to call have no clue.

Is this a cafe thread? Because I’d like to comment on how the UW-Madison had a vote of no confidence in the University Police Department. Demonstrating their legendary commitment to open mindedness and willingness to listen to both sides, the students refused to let the Police Chief testify.

I looked up your goldenrod because it looks so different from the plants that grow where I live. I didn't know there were so many varieties. I think the goldenrod pictured are.. called Zig-zag goldenrod (Solidago flexicaulis). Very delicate.

Wow. Just stumbled across David Brooks' latest NYT column. He is one pissed-off puppy! Somebody must have tied a knot in his little, bitty dick. He's forgotten all about pretending to be a conservative. Getting rich and ditching the first wife seems to have agreed with him.

We drove out to Holy Hill today. It's in Waukesha County, Inga's neck of the Wisconsin woods:

It looked much like that picture today. The fall colors are lovely. It was a beautiful fall day here.

It's Waukesha County so the Trump signs far outnumbered the Biden ones.

Trump leaves hospital and goes on a car ride to thank supporters outside hospital and wave at them. I love it. Media whining he didn't "inform the press pool". Which makes me love it even more.

Meanwhile, Joe sits in his basement with his mask on.

Here's something I didn't know: there are 3332 living POWs; 1888 from WWII (this is what surprised me that the WWII number was so high); 1085 from Vietnam. 99% male; 86% white. Thanks to those who served, and especially to those who were taken as POWs. https://www.governmentattic.org/38docs/VALivingFormerPOWs_2018.pdf

Thanks for the pic of goldenrod but I think I inherited my mom’s allergies and that thing is making me sneeze in the worst way. You are so good with pic editing, can you dial down the histamine thing?
