The state police superintendent said there would be a “massive influx” of troopers in the city beginning Saturday morning. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat, said on Twitter this week, “Violence has no home in Portland.”

Organizers of the Proud Boys rally in Portland said they'd have 20,000 people, the sheriff thought there'd be 1,000 or 2,000, but in reality, there were only 200.

Impossible! Inga has assured me that there are literally hundreds of thousands of white supremists in Aloha shirts fomenting violence among the largely peaceful BLM protests around the country. Alleging that Portland could only muster a couple of hundred of these bad boys for a major boogaloo fest is like telling be that our own Bedpan Banshee can't tell the difference between a rectal thermometer and a tongue depressor. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So how do we rebrand BLM and Antifa as white supremacists, so the police will be ordered to stop their riots? It shouldn't be too hard, as most rioters are skinny white young men and the strange white women they are trying to coax into bed via protest exhibitions of violence.

1) The enhanced police presence kept the peace in Portland yesterday, at least during the day. The anarchists/socialists came back late in the evening to continue their violent protests downtown around the courthouses. 2) It's worth noting that part of the enhanced police presence was that 50 Portland police officers were deputized as federal marshals. That gives them the power to arrest protestors for interfering with the police or disobeying an order to disperse and have those offenses prosecuted by the US Attorney as federal offenses. This was necessary because the local DA has announced he will not prosecute such charges against his allies on the left. I believe that a number of Oregon State Police had already been deputized for the same reason, as part of the deal where the OSP took over protection of the federal courthouse. Note that because the DA is elected, he is more or less independent and can't be overruled by state officials. I don't know if the Oregon DA could choose to prosecute state offenses that the DA chooses not to prosecute but she's another wacky lefty so I don't think she would even if she could.
And yet there are white supremacists under every goddamn rock.

What a joke! The OSP pulled out of Portland 2 months ago. In a public statement, not refuted or reversed by our pathetic gutless Governor, the OSP Superintendent said that until Portland DA's got serious about prosecuting rioters, his officers had plenty of crime to fight elsewhere.

4 weeks ago, the Feds swore in a large detachment of OSP as Deputy US Marshals, giving them dual police powers and the ability to charge rioters in Federal courts.
The OSP came back to Portland and rioters are now arrested and stay in jail facing 5-10

Then the feds deputized them, so they can charge the rioters with federal crimes, which Schmidt can't dismiss.
So, to be clear about this, the federal government, under President Donald Trump, has finally taken steps to end the violent rioting, murder and arson which the Democratic administration of Portland has allowed to continue for over 100 nights.
