"Warrior Nun", a US production, in English, of an old comic book ... you know the deal. Superhero warrior women vs demons and mad scientists.

But its twist is that its about nuns, of a sort, and the thing involves priests and archbishops and etc. Not the usual Marvel comic stuff.

I cant say its very good. The best part is the rather cute lead actress, who is Portuguese, but who speaks excellent colloquial English.

The interesting part is it is shot entirely in the province of Malaga, in Antequera, Ronda, and Malaga itself, and probably other parts. It gives a look into both the tourist parts of Spain and the gritty bits. It uses Spain as its own character, without being heavy handed about it. It creates another, not quite familiar world by its nonchalant use of a very foreign place. Though there are bits of those places that can look very much like California.; 9/3/20, 4:45 AM
