Your efforts to take discrete instances of tragedy and turn it in to a violent race war has already resulted in 17 deaths in about 10 days. Let that sink in. Police killed 9 unarmed blacks last year out of 350 million contacts. That is a tragedy rate of .00000002 or .000002%. In the US, lightning strikes killed 51 last year for a tragedy rate of .00000015 or .000015%. Regarding riots, at the rate of 17 killed per 10 days, that would be 620 people. 9 people killed by officers 620 killed by the rioting response to one tragic death. (Equivalent rate, mind you, not actual for those with low comprehension abilities.)
So I guess I have to agree with you I shall not be silent about violent riots because silence is violence.

Silence is Violence has a much more sinister potential than other slogans. In order to carve out an exception to freedom of speech there needs to be an argument for substantive harm. Silence is Violence could be the core of that argument in a way Silent No More could not. For that reason I can't see the slogan without thinking of it as the opening shot in a case for compelled speech.

Silence is a form of expression, and forcing people to speak is an infringement on the freedom of speech. And here, the point isn't that you should not be silent, but you are required to say what is being dictated to you. You're not free to say whatever you like or to have an independent point of view. That's even more disapproved of than silence. Compelled speech is a nasty tactic. There are many of us who keep silent because we feel we don't yet know all the facts or because we don't understand what you're talking about. Some people are feeling pressured to say "dismantle the police" and they're saying it even when they don't know what it means! And, shockingly, the people who are demanding that people pledge to dismantle the police don't even know what they themselves mean. In this circumstance, silence is a respectable option, and to be accused of violence is... well... I guess they don't mean that literally either...

As a law professor, you are completely familiar with critical legal theory and I assume at least basically familiar with the associated philosophy of critical race theory et al. If you don't think that the dedicated proponents behind these theories don't use the term "violence" in all it's overt potential, maybe you haven't been paying close attention. It's terrifying to see these beliefs being widely adopted by unthinking masses and by political leaders, because they most certainly fucking DO permit and promote violence as a moral given.

I am not sure that Executions have to be pre-planned. I think I can still execute someone "on the spot." Pre-meditated means pre-planned and does not require execution to be assumed.
As for Althouse, I don't recall whether she said Floyd was executed. If so, I think it might be an early reaction to what seemed like a deliberate desire by the officers to kill Floyd. If so, hopefully, she has stepped back from that position and will wait for all the evidence which is generally how she applies her mind to such things.
