I would like to spend the rest of 2020 on whatever Rosanne is on... pic.twitter.com/0aYRtt8AUU— Evan DeSimone (@Smorgasboredom) June 25, 2020
I get it. I have said essentially the same thing myself. On April 17, 2020, I wrote:
[A]s I've said a few times and have thought all along — there's something womanly about Trump. And I'm not saying that as an insult. He often displays machismo or seems to do the voice of a mob boss, but not all the time. He has this softer lilt that comes through some of the time....I had to put this post up, so you've got to go down to get to tonight's café.

There’s nothing a woman hates like another woman so that explains trump’s polling among the wine moms.
Ok then.
You can always re-time the post to an earlier hour.
He is the first president since Carter who hasn't seemed to need military victories to satisfy his ego.
You were going so well today, and then this.
I have no idea why this identity politics bullshit fascinates you.
It’s your Achilles’ heel. You’d do well to drop it. It’s boring and stupid. In fact, it’s worse than that. Ridiculous and laughable. I’m attributing it to your 60s nostalgia.
But, otherwise, you’re doing your normal bang up job. Your other posts today were great.
She’s a massive pro.
I can see why Althouse wants to ride the tail. And it is not unfair to suggest that Althouse has her own skilz too. Coming up with this POV that this epic killer* has also decided to test out is worth spotlighting.
Now, if Althouse has some overlap w/ Scott Adams, that’d be noteworthy too. But, nothing like this. Best gal comic eva? Could be. She’s definitely near the top of the list for sure. Especially if you don’t include Eddy on that list. He seemed soft sometimes.
*Here “killer” means someone who is doing an amazing, extreme top-level job re whatever it is that they’re working. I’m not referencing Althouse prepping to kill an evil doer.
it's the dulcet, euphonious mellifluity in his voice when he says
"Get 'em outta here!" and "Chyna!"
They got Aunt Teefa, we got Uncle Buck!
Trump has women, binders of them unlike Romney, he has hired. He likes women. I was never too sure about Obama, although I think he liked mothers like Michelle and ValJar.
This does explain a lot of women's visceral repulsion of Trump.
May I add that Hillary Clinton was the first transsexual candidate? That explains the revulsion that many men felt towards her.
I've never seen a well-thought out analysis of the 2016 gender gap in the POTUS election. I think simple statistics would show that it was the most gender-gapped election in US history.
It should be no surprise that a mature man can have a high Emotional IQ in harmony with his genius level analytic IQ. He’s learned emotions from many a long relationship with many a women. And he has now got it all in 100% woman Melania.
Meanwhile, he uses all that female level of human emotional understanding of people he engages while he fights them like a Scots Irish winner who never surrenders. And he does it all for free. It’s really not a fair fight.
Hey the Supreme Court has said you are what you identify as--and if Trump identifies as Greta Garbo and says, "I vant to be alone", well heckfire, he's Greta Garbo.
I gotta say, I don't think Trump is anything like a woman, but of all the presidents of my lifetime, he is the only one who understands women almost as well as I do.
You think little rich JFK, who snortled with evil pleasure when he instructed an 18 year old woman to go down on one of his ugly advisors at a pool party, had any real connection to women? No he didn't.
LBJ was basically a more or less homosexual guy who loved talking about his penis. That disgusting man loved penis, and if loving penis means you are a woman, LBJ was our first woman president.
Nixon was loved by his wife and by his kids, but trust me - if 30 year old me and 30 year old Nixon were both trying to talk a woman into marrying us, little Nixon would have walked away crying the tears of a loser. Nixon was a good guy - so there's that. I am not criticizing him. Well, I would not have wanted him as a son-in-law, but I am not criticizing him.
Ford was what he was - I refuse to criticize him - and then there was Carter, who no father would have ever wanted as a son-in-law, trust me.
Remember all those old National Enquirer stories about how young Reagan bullied a woman into having an abortion? I remember, and I think they were true. He reformed, later on, but in his youth he was a little bitch. Trust me. I really wish I could have talked to little Adonis Reagan when he was young, and have explained to him that it is wrong to be the way he was in his 30s. Water under the bridge, I guess, but trust me, my angels remember.
Everybody knows what the Bushes and Obama were.
By the way, BLM is a cult. Feminism is a cult. BDSM is a cult. MSM celebration of taking down Karens is a cult. Neo-conservatism is a cult. (on the left).
(and on the right .....) Fascism, as practiced by Greta Thunberg and the other neo-Nazis, is a cult. Anti-white hatred, anti-black-hatred, and thinking Christopher Hitchens was a genius is a cult.
Anything that makes you see a person, any other person (as Roger Scruton used to say) as less than an individual, is a cult.
There is no way Trump reads my comments, or his wife, or anyone in his circle. That being said, had I met Melania before Trump did, he would have made a good run for it, but I would put my charisma and my love for women ahead of his billions and his love for women.
I voted for both Bushes - losers both - and the execrable Romney, and I even voted for Reagan, who was a little bitch of a man when he was in his 30s. I did that because I was voting against their opponents.
When I voted for Trump I voted for him. He reminds of me.
Well maybe so, but the stable genius part of him is very male. I see what you mean though, but I get a kind of a lipstick lesbian, and that's not a criticism either. He's reliably well-dressed and coiffed, but likes to grab a pussy when they're offered..
In terms of martyrs to the cancel culture, she has to rank pretty high. She lost a show that she created simply because of one lame joke. Many of those people on the show owed their careers to her and they couldn't muster one word of support.....From her appearance, it doesn't look like Roseanne gives a fuck about the world's opinion. "I'm through combing my hair for you bastards."
Maybe Trump is what Rosanne would be if she were actually the first woman president.
Grab'em by the pussy!!
No, he just feels whats happening to this country, thirty years since high scho of being tactful have earned jack squat
Ya' know....Roseanne is that bar-fly at the end of the bar.
In other words......."I'd fuck him!!"
You know, Althouse, I spent my working career in a sea of fag hag feminists in San Francisco and New York City.
It might surprise you to know that I negotiated this minefield quite cleverly. They all wanted to fuck me, although in the office they were stabbing me in the back over who fawned more over the gay boys, and trying to promote the gay boys over me.
I played the fag hag feminists successfully, although I did lose a few rounds. But, I never really understood, and still don’t understand, the attraction of fag hag feminism to its adherents.
The gay boys wanted to fuck me, too, and in confidence outside the office they held the fag hag feminists in utter contempt. Hard to tell who was telling the truth. Sort of like spy vs. spy.
The whole deal just seemed incredibly perverted, mean and sad to me. I didn’t have so much a moral aversion to the game, as complete bewilderment about why anybody wanted to play it and why they considered it glamorous. But, there you go, it was a very popular game. The fag hag feminism game pretty much dominated my years in SF and NYC.
The game seems to offer its adherents endless thrills and excitement. I guess people are just different. I’m very grateful that I’m retired and I don’t have to play any more.
Roseanne's still got it, timing-wise, that whole build up was great. (I'm glad I saw it before I read the headline.)
The feminine gender stuff is definitely a thing, with Trump. Tone is part of it, for sure, but I also think it's in the kind of catty, deferential-to-status way that he asserts things by way of "people are saying."
Even his relentless, pecking nickname attacks on other candidates have a mean-girl kind of formulation, too. He's not constrained by the possibility of male violence, and it makes his bullying seem more henhouse than schoolyard.
It's interesting how Roseanne's personal status in society has correlated with the status of white blue-collar people in general.
I wish that Trump would "identify" as a woman for a month. He could play up his feminine side, and boast that he is this country's first female president. How can the Left argue he's not, if you can choose your own gender?
Reminds me of that one acting class that did a reproduction of a Hillary v. Trump debate, but had an actress portray Trump and an actor portray Hillary. I think a lot of the observers commented that seeing the Trump portrayal from actress made Trump seem more positive and the opposite with the Hillary portrayal. I think this at least suggests that Trump's use of language has some more typically feminine characteristics. If it didn't I imagine actresses portrayal would have come off more awkward ans stilted. I will say that compared to my perception of the typical male speaker, Trump seems more figurative in his language, and also seems to go for a more emotional connection or understanding with the listener. Also, while he can be direct, he usually has a more meandering and round about style of speaking. These seem like more feminine qualities in speaking to me.
I'm also reminded of the guy who dubs over trumps speeches with a voice of stereotypical, 'sassy gay man'. These come off pretty well also, and perhaps this is again because of Trump's more feminine speech patterns.
Nobody rambles quite like Steven Cooper.

Can I have some more porridge sir?
Most of the above posts have been highly entertaining to read. I am in awe.
I am fairly confident that Trump has a Y chromosome. Which would mean that he is not a woman. If someone has evidence that he does not, that would be germane. Discussion of his behavior is not.
I know what you’re saying.
Womanly? No, Trump is a womanizer. He has acquired a particular set of skills over a long career of womanizing. They don’t work on most women. I’m still surprised they sometimes work on Althouse.
Ann is correct about TikTok - it doesn't load in any of my browsers. Neither does Facebook because I refuse to signup in order to find out what the toothpaste of the day will be.
Meanwhile, back to Ann and her Trump perception. Trump played "female" with French President Emmanuel Macron and with the Boy Toy he calls "Rocket Man." But this is an outward presentation of Donald's reality inside his head. He suffers from malignant narcissism - apparently at times with a touch of solipsism syndrome.
Most of the time, however, Trump is driven by his malignant narcissism to return to where his self love has made him believe that he is the most magnificent, successful personality that ever lived. Unfortunately for his lowly subjects, his mob upbringing leaves him with no rule of law and no precept of right and wrong - except when an action is good or profitable for Trump, it is right.
Add all this up and impose Trump's belief in success requiring a high IQ, which he certainly doesn't display. Trump biographer Gwenda Blair noted: “Part of ... his insecurities [is] about not being perceived as intelligent.”
“Sorry losers and haters, but my IQ is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure, it's not your fault,” Trump [the extremely stable genius] tweeted in 2013.
“Measuring someone’s intelligence is not simply a matter of taking one test with a sharpened No. 2 pencil. Donald Trump came of age before that whole notion, for sure,” [psychologist Howard] Blair said. “He’s still thinking in terms of that No. 2 pencil.”
That’s It! All he has to do is announce that he identifies as a woman, list some pronouns, and they can’t touch him . . er, her!
I am missing the point.
I mean, I am really missing the point.
Is this an example of extreme gender gap?
Quarantine, prescription meds and a cigarette. That is stress.
The suggested joke is; I want to be on what Roseanne is on for the rest of 2020.
If it's steak, count me in.
Otherwise, I'm fasting.

Is there more video with an explanation?
I think this thread misses the point
Bill Clinton was the first black President in that he got the rhythm
Sure Trump has learned wrestling bluster
and ruled the board room
but he also can be chatty, gossipy, aware of emotions
he appears to make decisions on this awareness of emotion, and personal experience
Saw her live in Las Vegas right before she hit the big time, very memorable.

This is a great idea. I’m all for it.
If I had to wager a guess, I’d say our president is probably bisexual.
It's one thing to have feminine qualities but it would seem offensive to those hoping for a female President. But what he hell do I know in this day and age...
Obama was more feminine than Trump, like a gangly middle school girl. Bad at sports, high waisted jeans, catty mean girl insults. Likes to break the rules and get away with it. That's a Mean Girl alright...
Bullshit.
You'll never see Trump wear mom jeans, that's for sure.

I agree. In fact, I couldn’t imagine him wearing any kind of jeans. It’s hard to picture the Donald wearing anything besides his suit or his sometimes golfing outfit.
It's the late stage avoirdupois. Fat cells make estrogen. Also, T declines quite a bit.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
This is what the "News" has come down to pure speculation and narcissistic entertainment for the audience. People we seem to live in a bubble of entertainment fiction and are avoiding reality and the 'Real World'.

Why? Homosexuality is filthy and our Glorious Fearless Leader is notoriously filthophobic. I suppose he is philosophical enough to live and let live re the lifestyle, but that's a far cry from participating in it.
