"A thread about how protesting during a pandemic was described when conservatives were doing it."

At Twitter — scroll down to see the collection of articles shaming anti-lockdown protesters for failing at social distancing.

Well that is different cause, shut up.

That was different cause they were just normal working folks trying to keep their lives and families and businesses together. They were not "social justice warriors" working for social change, nor were they working to transform America. So, shut up.

Pandemic? That's so 6 days ago. We're onto the next media induced mass hysteria now.

The Covid19 lockdown had nothing to do with stopping the pandemic.

The riots have nothing to do with racial justice.

This is about power for the globalists and their Democrat minions.

All of those scary men with guns cutting hair. I've never been so scared in my life. I even think some of them looked at me cross-ways. It made me pee my pants. It was horrible.

I'm genuinely glad that my home was spared when the Floyd protestors burned down that new apartment building next door during the mostly 'not generally unruly' protest. Beats having to deal with obese armed white guys on the statehouse steps any day.

Thank the flying spaghetti monster I'm not a republican. Those people are friggin terrifying.

Maybe I'm naive, but protesting against being asked to stay home during a pandemic is slightly different to protesting the murder or an unarmed citizen by the state's forces

I like this response. The criticism of quarantine protesters was supposedly based on the virus. So unless you think the virus cares why you're protesting the risk still exists, and in fact is elevated since the current protesters are violating the safe distancing rules to far greater extent. But this commenter is so attuned to the political motivations he cannot even understand there is anything more to the issue. He's the perfect leftist.

OK, but no news: we called BS here a while ago. Lockdowns are tools, shaming is a tool, just as riots are tools. Common denominator: advance prog power. It's just that in this case, with the riots following the shaming rather quickly, prog double standards are exposed a little more obviously than usual.

At some point, rather than parse words, or wondering what people could possible mean, even Althouse may see the pattern.

It was all lies in any case.

My investment firm sent out a letter describing the COVID hysteria as "the first social media pandemic".

As long as we have a majority of citizens who are poorly educated and sheeplike, the media will create hysteria when it suits their political purpose.

Tim Pool: Activists caught taking bricks to protestors in several cities...

From the video, quoting Tim Pool, "...This is the best evidence we have so far of far-left extremists going around giving weapons to people to incite violence. It doesn't prove that all the bricks were laid out by Antifa, but I'll tell you this, they tried blaming the "far right" but I have been around many of these far-left extremists. I have seen them plan just these things. They talk about getting vans, loading them up with bricks, driving them up in the wee hours of the morning, and planting them. And now we have some evidence to suggest it. But more than that, numerous jurisdictions. We have New York, Minnesota, Chicago, Kansas City, it looks like, all saying they have found weapons and riot material littered throughout their cities."

These are not protests. Stop calling them protesters, they are violent thugs. This is an insurrection and should be treated as such.

I fully support the continuation of these protests until the cop responsible for killing George Floyd is arrested and charged for his crimes.

Wait, what?

Oh.

When did that happen?

Oh.

Another "compare/contrast" exercise: Church services vs. "protesters."

The next time we have a glorified flu, I hope the riots start sooner to end the lockdowns before we're bankrupted.

Well, now they’ve moved the goal posts. They won’t stop until the other three cops are arrested as well.
