"And the fault was not mine/Nor where I was /Nor how I was dressed/The rapist is you."

I found that through "Women's March Draws A Smaller, But Passionate Crowd" (NPR):
Unlike in previous years, Saturday's march in Washington did not feature a stage for performances and speeches from celebrities. Instead, in an effort to reconnect with supporters, organizers marched alongside everybody else.

Upon reaching the White House, Chilean collective LasTesis led the crowd through a rendition of their viral protest anthem "Un Violador En Tu Camino" ("A Rapist in Your Path").
That internal link goes to "A Chilean Feminist Anthem Decrying Gender Violence Goes Global" (WBUR, December 11, 2019):
The song — “Un violador en tu camino” ("A Rapist in Your Path") — was created by Chilean art collective Lastesis to highlight gender-based violence in the country. I...

Wearing blindfolds, women sing the powerful lyrics atop an electric beat: “Y la culpa no era mía / ni dónde estaba / ni cómo vestía./ El violador eres tú.” (And the fault was not mine / nor where I was / nor how I was dressed. / The rapist is you.)

Spontaneous performances of the song have popped up in Mexico, Venezuela, France, Spain, India and the U.K. In the U.S., the song has inspired Velu Ochoa and fellow organizers to come together for an upcoming performance in the nation’s capital.

As I noted a few days ago, there has been a lot of coverage in the Washington Post and elsewhere for this small gathering of 10,000 people or so for the "Women's March." Yet this week's annual March for Life, which routinely draws over 100,000 - the vast majority of them women - is completely invisible and ignored to the Post, et al.

Intersectionality and identity politics have transformed the way the media reports on violence against women. Statistical data on violence by "asylum seekers" in Europe, for example, is aggressively ignored. Instead, journalists relentlessly focus on sexual harassment in the workplace, date rape in college and abortion (or the "criminalization of women's bodies"). And only if it involves White men (especially the Jewish types). Heck, the media is still raging over the rape of slave women by White men in the 18th and 19th centuries (breaking news!!!). But that's it.

I'd bet every one of these anti-rape pasionarias are also passionately in favor of importing lots of men from (demonstrably, statistically) more-rapey cultures into places where the men are (demonstrably, statistically) less-rapey. And then proceeding to blame said less-rapey demographic for "rape culture".

Or they are definitely going for the Spinal Tap approach to filtering their crowd down to the vital few. These are lost, clone-like people tilting at windmills, without the charm of Don Quixote. Utterly embarrassing. My wife and both sisters, all of them strong, independent people, would not allow even a minute of their day to be interrupted by this nonsense. They're too busy being productive, thinking individuals. And, they can all definitely stand up for themselves, or any groups in need of standing up for.

Not this bunch of Democrat hacks. And let's be very clear. These are Democrat party operatives leading this BS. Just another reason to not elect any Dem for 2 generations. It'll take at least that long to clean out that party.

But in this day and age of competitive "marches" it is difficult to get the attention of the MSM? Not so, this perfectly demonstrates that the MSM has major bias issues! Why so many people have been so eager to accept and repeat the dire conclusions reached is another question AA should address.

Figure every teacher, supervisor, principal working for the DC public system are union members with a 98% affiliation with the Dem Party. They are all given a strong suggestion from the union to be there. Plus a few thousand more from surrounding community public school systems. Figure a few thousand congressional staffers between the ages of 21-30 thinking there is nothing more important than showing up for The Cause of The Day as if it's part of their jobs- and for some, I'm sure it is. Then the rest of the DC area bureaucracy sending out representatives from their staff so that they appear Woke enough to keep the dollars coming in.

I'm thinking about 8,000+ just in the permanent DC area governmental employees and union members (but I repeat myself). Does that leave anyone else?

Based on this article, I would hypothesize a type of crowd, which I will call croud1, where the crowd volume times the crowd intensity equals a constant. V * I = K sub p. In smaller crowds of type 1 intensity is high and at the limit of a one person crowd, the intensity peaks at the value of K sub p while in a crowd of infinite size intensity approaches zero. In type 2 crowds, such as Nazi rallies at Nurenburg, a proprtional linear relationship between crowd volume and intensity is observed where V * I increases unbounded in units of person-intensity....

Achilles: "And who does NPR side with?"

My revelation about NPR came many years ago, when they reported on the Cuban government's raid on and shutting down of an "underground library" in Havana. (The library had copies of subversive documents like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.) The raid was facilitated by the presence on the library's staff of a member of the Cuban secret police.

The NPR correspondent did not talk with any of the (former) library's staff. (I suspect they would be "unavailable," for a number of years.) Instead, they talked with the mole. He had a sad because his former colleagues (those not vacationing at the Isle of Pines, I guess) would no longer talk to him. The correspondent's sympathies were very obviously with the spy.

The demonstration was a little too entertaining imo. A troupe of "dancing girls" is probably one of the oldest sexual manipulations in the book. When women use their sexuality as a power source they can't really complain about being totally innocent. But I guess they couldn't help themselves, they have been socialized that way.

Blaming Trump is also off the mark. Trump doesn't symbolize rape. He does probably represent the power play between wealth and beauty. Generally speaking the most beautiful women get the most successful men and vice versa. Only losers have to resort to rape. Rape is about violence against women, not about promiscuity.

Well, they're women, and they're angry! Beyond that... it's not as though there's a significant "pro-rape" party or faction in the U.S.

I believe there is a stereotype out there that angry women expect their significant others to just KNOW what they are angry about, and if they don't, well, that's just one more thing to be angry about. So these women are sort of playing into that.

Come to think of it, that's a pretty good description of the Democrats' impeachment rationale. "But... what crime did Trump commit?" "Oh, he knows!"

This idea that where you go is not your fault is stupid and self-destructive. Go home with a random guy you just met, drunk, and it isn't your fault? Go into shady, dangerous places by yourself late at night and it isn't your fault? MEN don't do such stupid things and if you are smaller and weaker you have even less excuse. Pretending that all that is needed is to protest against rape to make it stop is naive in the extreme. Why doesn't a protest against murder work equally well? There are bad and crazy people in the world and it is useful to keep that in mind, not to pretend we live in a fairy tale.
