Miss ice skating. There are rinks down here, but outdoor skating was the best.

Oh well. Time to walk on the beach.

Taking a quick scan of the post title and the still image, I read that as 'The dreamy LONELINESS of ice skating."

Which I kinda like.

Except she isn't alone, because someone is filming her.

Does she know that someone is behind her, filming her?

Do women ever wonder how many times someone has been behind them, surreptitiously filming them?

Should I actually watch the video and have my illusions dashed?

Because in my mind this ends in the woods.

I am Laslo.

If you ski in the forest and no one tiktok did you really ski alone? And feel lonely? Just dreaming!

I was expecting the second skater to break through that very transparent ice.

"Huge snapping turtle discovered under ice in frozen Arkansas lake"

You can see him thru the ice.

That turtle is probably 200 years old.

The transparent ice is stronger than the cloudy ice, but it’s hard to overcome the illusion.

I must be really strange. I got a huge creepy, stalker feel from the girl skating alone video.

In my mind it ended with her buried in the woods.

Some of you people are sick. watching the top video all I could think of was there is nothing nicer in this world to see a young female doing sport in a lovely pair of tights.

the second one was definitely all about the pucker factor for me

There was a time when I was about ten that we went up to Lake St. Mary's in the winter. Parked the trailer near the edge of the water and built a fire in the night.

The frozen lake had a 3 inch covering of snow. When we put our skates in and hit the ice, it was like you were gliding magically over the snow.

Fifty years later I can still see it in my mind's eye. Silently gliding over the snow with a star-filled sky above. When I am stressed I often bring up that image. So calming, so beautiful.

Oh I miss that from my childhood, enjoying the community rink every evening, and then going into the little warming hut with its tiny potbelly stove just to thaw out my hands and untie the icy laces so I could carry my skates home.

They have rivers to you could skate away on in Sweden and they make their own music!

One of our elites told us that Belgians commute to work by ice-skating their canals.

The average high in Amsterdam in winter has got to be close to 45 or 50 degrees.

1st video reminiscent of Elfstedentocht

Like the 1st video except for the music. Would've been much better with classical music in it.

Beautiful. Inspirational. I'm going to build an ice skating path thru my forest and charge admission. Thanks!
