WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a landmark decision, the U.S. Supreme Court bench handed down a ruling Monday approving the death penalty for people who comment on articles without reading them.
In the highly publicized case, State of Texas v. Wilbur, state authorities had found internet user Edward Wilbur guilty of posting a comment on a story linked on his Facebook page, a news story Wilbur “had clearly never read.”
While most of those convicted under Texas’ recent state law banning commenting on news stories or opinion pieces without reading them get off with a few months of community service or a stiff fine, the “severe stupidity” of Wilbur’s comment reportedly landed him a shocking sentence of execution by lethal injection.
“Mr. Wilbur commented on a news story about a minor update to Texas public schools’ science curriculum,” prosecuting attorney Hank Cassidy told reporters outside the Supreme Court building just after the controversial ruling was announced. “But it was immediately apparent he hadn’t even read the article, and barely even glanced at the headline. He left a long, rambling comment attacking Obamacare, liberals, evolution in the school system, and chem trails, among other topics.”
According to Cassidy, this led to state officials taking Wilbur in for questioning before booking him on the capital charge of commenting without reading, kicking off a long appeals process, which finally concluded with the Supreme Court’s hearing of the case in today’s historic decision.
“This will be good for America,” the prosecuting attorney said. “Finally, justice has been done.”
Media Disappointed To Learn Armed Citizen Stopped Mass Shooting December 30th, 2019
U.S.—The nation's media outlets announced they were grieving today as an armed citizen stopped a mass shooting.
"We grieve that this tragedy we could have exploited for weeks on end was stopped by a good guy with a gun," said one teary-eyed MSNBC reporter on the scene. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the shooter."
"We are absolutely heartbroken and in shock over here," said one New York Times journalist. "What could have given us weeks and weeks of frothing-at-the-mouth stories about gun control will now have to be suppressed since it does not align with our agenda."
News outlets also reminded the nation that they reserve the right to immediately bury mass shooting stories that don't help push their agenda.
Outlets like CNN, MSNBC, and ABC News confirmed that they carefully look over the facts of a given case to see if it lines up with the correct opinions before deciding to push it incessantly for weeks on end.
"While we usually would exploit a tragedy like this to push our gun control agenda, in this case, the facts don't really help us," said CNN reporter Bob Costanza, after a recent shooting was shut down by a citizen with a gun. "It's tragic that it ended that way, because we really could have gotten a lot of mileage out of that bad boy."
The media didn't even try to find children who were present during the shooting to parade around talk shows and put on the covers of magazines for a full year this time around.
Been off since the 24th, and will be until 2-Jan-2020. Company is shutdown so there are no emails to check and respond to, I'm able to spend all my time on whatever I want. Mrs. stevew says it's sort of a preview of retirement. Jury is still out on whether that is a good thing; some adjustment will likely be required. I've been able to crank out window treatments for daughter and SIL (7 windows), a small olivewood bowl, a lovely figured maple bowl/centerpiece, repaired the faulty second floor shower drain, install new windshield wipers on mrs. stevew's vehicle. Even went food shopping together at Costco and Market Basket today.
Oh, and I am no longer able to not notice use of the word 'garner'. I blame our host for that.
New Study Suggests Playing With Dolls Proves A Boy Is Transgender
By Chad Felix Greene DECEMBER 30, 2019
'A new report published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, reported by NBC News, finds children with gender dysphoria prefer activities and objects that are stereotypical of the opposite sex.
“These findings suggest that children might not be simply learning about gender based on what their parents tell them about their own gender or how they treat them early on (which would be about the gender associated with their assigned sex),” the report says. Instead, the report implies, gender dysphoric children’s sense of being the opposite sex arises early and thus seems to be innate.
The study’s author noted, “There is almost no difference between these trans- and cisgender [non-transgender] kids of the same gender identity — both in how, and the extent to which, they identify with their gender or express that gender.”'
"...Decades of research following transgender youth into adulthood have shown upwards of 90 percent growing out of their dysphoria naturally, with one study showing an 80 percent desistence rate. Advocates argue the definition of what it means to be transgender have changed and therefore previous studies incorrectly identified participants as transgender, but with the current standard of proof they provide it is difficult to accept this argument.
What we are seeing is advocacy forcing science into the direction they want, with very little financial incentive for pushing back. But it is important to hold these advocates accountable for their arguments. It is not enough to hide behind scientific studies when these studies are little more than harmful social activism."

The mud hens remain, taunting the Wisconsin winter. Snow will test their pluck soon.

What Obama did to our military.
And Chuck thinks military members don't like Trump. Chuck's extensive military experience notwithstanding.
