The President of the United States enjoys getting called "a bad motherfucker."

For more info on Jorge Masvidal, here's "Jorge Masvidal drank liquor, ate pizza, and dissed Conor McGregor in his post-fight press conference after dominating Nate Diaz" (Business Insider):
Masvidal won every round in the main event at Madison Square Garden, New York on Saturday, popping his fists into Diaz's face with such consistency that the Californian was bloodied, cut, and told by a doctor that he could not continue. The fight was over.

The crowd may have booed at the result, wanting a more conclusive finish, but there was little more Masvidal could have done, as the Floridian fighter dropped Diaz multiple times, kicked him in the body, punched him on the ground, and was declared the "baddest mother f-----" in the game. He was even given a "BMF" belt by The Rock....
This was the event we're discussing in the first post of the day — "I wouldn't call that 'massively booed'... but then to tell you the truth, I don't know what UFC even is" — about the way the MSG crowd reacted to Trump's entering and taking his seat.

Well, 'bad motherfucker' is a compliment, not an insult.

Speaking anecdotally, the notion that any significant percentage of UFC fans are anti-Trump is absurd. Maybe 5% of the 5% of UFC fans who ever bother to vote. A swallow does not a summer make.

My favorite moment in Pulp Fiction is when we see that Samuel Jackson’s character actually does have “bad motherfucker” written on his wallet.

Yah, that's cool. If you're a politician you never know what will appeal to voters. Some of them don't have a good handle on the issues, they don't understand the Middle East, they loathe finance...so you have to find unique ways to connect with them...

Liz Warren is not a bad motherfucker. Even if she lied about it to get ahead nobody would believe it.

@Althouse, it surprises me that you have watched/heard Joe Rogan's podcast and don't know what UFC is. He talks about it a lot. He's a very famous commentator. It's one of his main jobs, along with standup comedy and his podcast.

Who's the rich orange prick that's the sex machine to all the chicks?

Trump! He's a baaaad muthafucka!

All kidding aside, Trump is taking his tribune of the people act to the people, and I prefer that to the machinations of the Organs of State Security that have been exposed by his disregard of precedent and consensus.

Walking into Madison Square Garden last night with @danawhite for the big @UFC Championship fight was a little bit like walking into a Trump Rally. Plenty of MAGA & KAG present. Great energy. Fantastic job Dana! Heading to D.C. and then to Kentucky for a big

"Before dominating" would've made it interesting.

Okay that Jorge Masvidal drank liquor and ate pizza, but dissing Conor McGregor can be a problematical activity. Well, it’s not anything to me whether Jorge’s fists, feet, and ring smarts can match his mouth, but I will check up on the results of this match just out of curiosity.

But, yeah, Donald Trump really is a BMF. People who’ve talked about punching him in the mouth — Jay Leno, Joe Biden — are all talk.

After listening to Miles Davis' autobiography, I'm no longer shocked at "motherfucker". Sometimes, after listening to it on the drive home, I'd end up telling my wife to "Pass the salt, motherfucker".

You'll notice that Trump will Re-tweet it, but won't say it in public. As it should be.

Again, if Trump was a liberal Democrat the MSM would be lapping this up. A president who goes to UCF - or whatever -fights. A POTUS who's a "Bad Motherfucker". What a cool POTUS. What a "Man of the People".

But because Trump wants good trade deals, a sensible foreign policy, and enforcement of the immigration laws - he's a vulgar moron.

What's the over/under on how many days for Jorge Masdival to be subpoenaed by Schiff? A man willing to testify under oath that Trump is a bad motherfucker. If being a bad motherfucker isn't an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor, what is?

And now we wait for Joe Biden's story about how Corn Pop called him a bad muthafucka.

I know what MMA is, but UFC wasn't something that ever stuck. A bunch of letters doesn't mean much to me and I have no incentive to remember. If Joe Rogan uses that set of letters, I've never noticed.

Also, Rogan puts out so many shows and they are very long. I get plenty of Joe Rogan without ever needing to consider the ones with MMA people. There are lots of them with non-sports guests. I can be very selective.

Can anyone imagine in a million years any of the self styled political consultants in Washington recommending Trump go to a venue like this? Trump is making a concerted effort in making inroads into the cultural landscape in ways the republicrats would never dream of making.

At the very moment the little minds in the democrat/GOPe/Coup party are thinking they are going to get rid of Trump (Spoiler: Not gonna happen) Trump is taking his strong electoral foundation and going full assymetrical warfare in expanding the map and outreach to groups no other republican ever could go after.

This is why the dems MUST destroy Trump.

He's exposing their corrupt Imperial Rome machinations and faux elitist unearned "expertise" and failed policies all the while hating their very own nation.

Trump instinctively knows this is a fight to the death (not just political, because if the DC crooks and their media allies succeed Trump knows they will hound his family into the dirt).

What the DC morons don't realize is that with just a few incorruptible buddies in key roles (Barr, Durham, Pompeo, etc) he has THEM cornered.

In hunter Thompson's book on the 68 election, he talks about how one Sunday did a typical campaign rally in Alabama. Down the road, at talladega, George wallace hung out with Richard petty at a Nascar race. He was prevailed upon to make a few remarks after and spoke offhand for about 5 minutes.

Thompson rated this about 100 times as effecive ss anything Nixon or Humphrey did in the whole campaign.

Nixon got 301 electoral votes. Wallace got 46. Not bad for a 3rd party.

How many votes do you think pdjt garnered from showing up here compared to whatever the various demmies were up to?

Don't quite understand your "issues"comments? In 2016, only 51% of the eligible voters actually voted. What are the issues which people voted for? How about #1 - anybody but a Clinton. Everything else is secondary - according to that leftist rag - "The Guardian" - ‘I don’t want the Clinton legacy continued in the White House’
American voters...[which] ...revealed deep anti-establishment anger and discontent.
So much for issues based voting - another current nugget ..."oh I'm in love with "Beto"...said a woman?

I suspect Trump will put his penthouse in Trump tower on the market. He probably has a smaller pied a terre Melania can use for her frequent trips. If he should lose re-election I can't see him wanting to live in Manhattan. And if his DC hotel is on the market, he's taking a cold look at things.

I think that you might be underestimating the demographics for this UFC fight. I take kickboxing classes at a school that had 3 fighters on the undercard. During a class that morning, several of the guys were considering going but bailed because the high cost. They were estimating that with cost of tickets, food, beer and after-party, it would be a $500 night.

I've long thought the US as a whole should aspire to be the world's "bad motherfucker," or "crazy motherfucker." If you were a bad guy entering a subway car, and at one end of the car was a big guy who looked like a crazy motherfucker, and at the other end of the car were only guys who looked like Pajama Boy, which end of the car do you think you'd go to in order to find victims to attack?
