I call them the marauders because calling them antifa (so every one they assault Is a fascist) much like the anti NATO graffiti the older brother encountered in 80s Barcelona, same for the resistance.
Usually fascists tie themselves to people native to the country. In this case they have explicitly allied themselves with foreign invaders against the native population.

Evidently that's a common Norwegian swear. . Fitte means "cunt" and is used as a noun, as in jævla fitte ("fucking cunt", literally "devilled vulva") with a general meaning of "asshole".
Fittetryne meaning "cunt face".

Hamstring injury in the latter part of the French battle. Taped in practice. The Yanks have a deep bench and Alex Morgan drank their English tea. Tea drinking so close to the 4th of July....hard to believe they lost when they had a 13 colony lead.
LOL! They weren't using bayonets. But they were valiant on the pitch. Good game and fun to watch.
I've found people either love the beautiful game or they don't. People either get it and have have loads of fun, or they don't get it and cannot understand. I have always loved it but I grew up playing it.
wwww: "LOL! They weren't using bayonets. But they were valiant on the pitch."
I can see you are intent upon making this some sort of galactic struggle.
It was a competitive and entertaining soccer match at a skill level that mirrors high school talent for boys, which is quite entertaining as well.
All it would take is for about 20 high school boys to determine they were actually women and not a single player currently on the USWNT would be on the team.
So you lefties have some choices to make, very soon.
So you lefties have some choices to make, very soon.
Certainly by the olympics.
No.
The women on the US Women's soccer team are being good little marxists kneeling for the anthem and carrying on like jerks and shrieking how embarrassed they are about the United States.
They will be spared the embarrassment of having mediocre male athletes claiming to be female and replacing them.
The leftists reserve that humiliation for teenage girls who aren't useful tools in destroying our country. And those girls are punished for speaking up.
Kinda like Bill Clinton's rape victims.
You are having some fun with wwww as if she is some halfwit who doesn't notice the hypocrisy and evil of her side.
wwww knows exactly what the leftists are doing and the only reason she cares about the US women's team is because they are trashing the US.
You are not a soccer watcher, eh? Bet you didn't cheer when Donovan make that goal.
"All it would take is for about 20 high school boys to determine they were actually women and not a single player currently on the USWNT would be on the team."
Wat? Boys aren't going to grow up to be on the USWNT team. But it would be nice if Men's Soccer would get it together and take care of business. More then 300 million people in the USA. Surely there are enough men to form a team that can make future World Cups and maybe do well in them? Please stop losing to Trinidad and Tobago. I don't expect them to be as good as say....Iceland. A nation-state the size of Madison Wisconsin. Oh, wait, Madison plus suburbs is bigger then Iceland.
(Deep Sigh) At this point I will be happy if they can simply win against a small Caribbean island. Kids had dreams for that team after Donovan's goal in South Africa. :( If and when the US Men's team finally gets it together we hope to bring our kids to future world's cups.
Surely there are enough men to form a team that can make future World Cups and maybe do well in them?
No, there probably aren't enough men for such a team. Maybe 30 years from now, and if soccer continues to increase in popularity in the US with young men, but right now, no.
At this point I will be happy if they can simply win against a small Caribbean island.
Actually, that's untrue. I want the Men's team to win a future World's Cup with my kids watching. I cannot believe they lost that game & didn't qualify. Come on USMNT get it together!!!
Achilles, I love soccer. It's on you if you want to focus on politics rather then the sport. And if you don't like soccer that's your business. Did you even watch the game today? Did you see that save? Did you watch any World Cup games for any teams? In past years? If you don't watch the game....sounds like you are the one not into soccer.
Who is Messi? What do you think is brilliant about him? Where were you when Donovan scored his goal? How many times did you watch re-runs of it?
No, there probably aren't enough men for such a team. Maybe 30 years from now, and if soccer continues to increase in popularity in the US with young men, but right now, no.
:( Nooooooo!!!! Please please please make this happen within the next 10 years we want to take our kids to the World Cup.
Sersly what is the problem? I don't understand it. Yes other sports are more popular but if the USA can compete in diving or figure skating surely we can get enough men together to field a decent team. OK we don't have to win the World Cup but can we be better?
National teams are built on players who have played the game at an organized level nearly all their lives. Additionally, the very best athletes form the base of that talent level because the sport is culturally dominant. In the US, that isn't the case- other sports get the top athletes.
The US women have succeeded because the sport wasn't culturally dominant with the females of the countries where soccer is dominant overall, but they will catch up and quickly.
It would be like expecting Brazil to produce a team that could compete in the NFL. Now, the Brazilians probably could field a female team of American football players that could compete with a US female football team.
In the US, that isn't the case- other sports get the top athletes.
I know but if we can put together a diving team why can't we figure it out? We have the money, the population, and we should be able to hire coaches. The US competes in the Olympics in all sorts of obscure sports.
Well, diving isn't a passionate, culturally dominant sport for any country on the planet, so the analogy fails, and, to be honest, the US has fallen way behind in even that sport in the last 2 decades.
And you do get it- you did write "obscure sports". Soccer isn't an obscure sport for much of the world, but diving is an obscure sport for all of them.
It would be like expecting Brazil to produce a team that could compete in the NFL.
But Americans move to Europe and compete in their superior teams. I don't understand why we don't have enough as talented as Tim Howard to field a team. He's world class. If we can get 1 world class guy, why not a few more?
Yes, the American teams aren't good enough yet and it can hurt their growth. But the best could play for a few years and then go to European teams.
Well, diving isn't a passionate, culturally dominant sport for any country on the planet, so the analogy fails, and, to be honest, the US has fallen way behind in even that sport in the last 2 decades.
Ok, I will try to not be in denial about it. But it makes me sad in my heart.
Ok, he seemed like a nice enough guy, but you have to admire the sentiment and rhyme:
I am changing my name to Chrysler I am going down to Washington D.C. I will tell some power broker What they did for Iacocca Will be perfectly acceptable to me I am changing my name to Chrysler I am headed for that great receiving line So when they hand a million grand out I'll be standing with my hand out Yes sire I'll get mine
I don't understand why we don't have enough as talented as Tim Howard to field a team. He's world class. If we can get 1 world class guy, why not a few more?
They're playing baseball, basketball and American football.
I played soccer before it was cool. I played in a local semi-pro Hispanic league because there was no high school soccer back then.
Your stupid questions about Messi or watching World Cup games or Donovan or Howard are sophomoric crap.
The US women's national soccer team took the stage in what should be a unifying event for our country and they pissed on half of us because you cannot leave your politics out of anything.
They purposely set out to divide our country.
You leftists hate our country and the fact we are allowed to disagree with you. Fuck the USWNST and fuck you leftists. You want to force your opinions where they aren't wanted fine. Right back at you.
Get the fuck out of the country if you hate it so much. Millions of better people died for your freedom and if you can't stand for the anthem you should get the fuck out.
But I do have hope for the future of US MNT. Someday my husband and I are going to watch a Men's World Cup with my kids and we are going to watch them win it all.
Spencer Hall wrote an article for SB Nation about US vs. the Belgians about hope.
"A sigh despite all of this going much father than you thought it could--at least, much father then you thought before it showed up. In the case of Brazil, it took the form of a suave, nattily dressed gentleman with a massive beard and pince-nez, wearing the armor of a nineteenth-century intellectual. He whispered in my ear during matches that yes, despite Bradley kicking the ball with lead feet, and despite the frailty of Jozy Altidore's hamstring, this team had hope. Hope always takes a defined shape in the brain. Once it arrived for me, it took the form of Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis, the greatest Brazilian novelist, peeking over my shoulder, eyeing the dismal possession stats and shot attempts, and saying quietly: time is an invisible web on which everything can be embroidered. He's say this, looking out the window, sipping from a cup of coffee, and turning back to nod and smile. Hope was a Brazilian novelist, and he was saying exactly what I wanted to hear.
3. For instance, he would tell the story about the time Tim Howard saved you. In a thousand alternate universes, he has turned errant taxis away from your path, swatted you away from falling safes, and punched away cannonballs bouncin galong the ground to a certain decapitation...Tim Howard had fifteen, sixteen, maybe seventeen saves against Belgium, and it pales compared to what he's done out there, in other places and other worlds where Tim Howard catches babies falling from windows and swats away killer astroids with the help of a gian robot exoskeleton and enormous tennis racket."
"4. Hope, the gy who looked a lot like the Brazilian novelist Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis, continued. This was later, after the United States has lost, and he was pacing the room stroking his beard, and hard in thought telling another story. The story involved a goalkeeper, and to understand the story, you must understand goalkeepers. Tim Howard is a goalkeeper. In any story, that means he is eventually going to lose. It is the position of Camus, of people who work against the envelope of total annihilation with ease.
So, the man you've confused for Hope says with a slight Brazilian accent, Tim Howard was crying, and it hurt, but that doesn't matter. Goalies at their best function perfectly in the moment. They remember nothing, and expect no help, and when the end comes it is as relevant as a sum written out of the end of a long, dull equation. The present is the only thing to the keeper, and the play to the ball all that matters. Tim Howard would cry after the match, but there is another quote from Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis that applies here: Tears are not argument. Tim Howard would agree, the man said, because for a goalie doom may be knocking at the door and adjusting its necktie at all hours, yes. But right behind the door was Tim Howard, who like all goalies would take a one-on-one match against the devil at whatever odds you cared to make for them."
"5. And that is how soccer can end: on a sigh. You have to assemble those sights into something like an order. The United States is out, but only after a ferocious fight....(Cutting comments about Klinsmann that were over hopeful.) This team just busted out of group play under nearly impossible conditions, and went out only after 120 minutes of furious work against one of the best sides in the world. After 1950, the United States fell out of the World Cup for forty years. The USMNT as we know it is basically 24 yeard old, the same age as Julian Green will be in Russia. It is trying to pay off a few debts, but it has its own place right now, and is thinking about getting its life together. It's got plans, man. It's got whatever you imagine to be hope."
Me: Here's where we have a issue. Klinsmann isn't working for them. But they'll come back. USMNT is young. My kids are in diapers. We have time to make this happen.
"6. If you asked the bearded man called hope who looks a lot like Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis on my couch right now, he would tell you this: Out of sight of one generation are kneaded the hopes of the next. If this is your first time around with the United States Men's National Team, you just made the kind of down payment that converts the faithless into zealotry for the rest of your life. You paid with sorrow, the emotion that is the mother of all affection. You saw John Brooks' winning header against Ghana, yes, but the circuit is never complete without the alternating current of loss. Welcome to a world of trying to find be In Sports on a pirate feed at 11:30 PM on a weeknight. Welcome to tracking Turkish soccer sites trying to gauge the fitness of a reserve defender who maybe, just maybe, solves our issues in central defense in a few years. Welcome to looking up plane fares to Mexico City, because yanno, it's just a day or two, and you've got all this PTO just piling up in the work account, and...they're playing and they need you. You might need them, too, for a thousand reasons you can't quite articulate."
"7. The World Cup is over, and yet there is still this man on my couch. He still looks like the famous Brazilian novelist, and he still seems like something like hope. These things take time, he will say, and you'll think oh: he's right. The last tie the United States walked off the field against Ghana, my son could not sit up, much less ask for the remote, turn on an episode of Octonauts, and drill me on the particulars of Imperial ships in Star Wars while I pour him his milk for the mourning. My other son didn't even exist. This is how the future is raised: a piece at a time, a day at a time, so slowly and yet so quickly you hardly notice how much closer it's gotten. The ghost of Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis has one last quote for the occasion: Tomorrow's sun is on its way -- a relentless sun, inscrutable like life. In 1,442 days or so, that sun rises over Moscow and the first game of the 2018 World Cup. Hope and its best hallucinations are welcome to stay on the couch until then."
2018 didn't work out but we have the future. Klinsmann has not worked out the way we wished, four years ago. But the kiddos are very young and we have time. I will have hope four years from now, and I will hope again in the next four years. Time is an invisible web on which everything can be embroidered. And one of these times, we are going to watch the US MNT win the World Cup and we will be yelling at the screen or maybe in the stadium I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!
wwww: "Wat? Boys aren't going to grow up to be on the USWNT team."

Rapinoe has selfishly burned a lot of the goodwill that the WNST had built up over the last thirty years.
I regularly played intramural football (soccer to you) in high school and university.
Professional sports are part of the modern version of panem et circenses. The resemblances to the old Roman formula are not a coincidence. Even the stadia are similar. Suspicion of the phenomenon is warranted, and cynicism.
They certainly are a political tool, used for the purposes of their owners, or factions of their owners. Blatantly, crudely, or with some subtlety. As also the Romans used their system. Nothing is simple, and nothing is innocent.
I love soccer, have played it since I was 10 (52 years), and love to watch the game played well. The women's game is unwatchable - even this World Cup. These are the best women soccer athletes the countries of the world produce and yet they appear slow to me. The individual skills of the top players are mediocre, as compared to middling division professional men. I watched about 10 minutes of the US v. France match the other day, the ball ping-ponged back and forth, with each team attempting long balls over the top, over and over again, without success. That sort of play drives the casual spectator away. Could someone trap the ball, makes a few passes, attempt a penetrating run or two with a dagger of a thru ball? Nah, they don't seem to know that game.
In other news: these Antifa thugs (aka: fascists) are in need of, and have earned, a beating. But not a physical one, that would just get them some sympathy. I want to see them beaten legally and financially.
Sports are fine, but people who want to have their sport align with a desire for larger group belonging and ‘world membership’’ makes me wonder if the particular sport comes first. Especially when the dead horse of men/women comes up.
I just don’t get it...I mean help me out here.
***A lot of people find that meaning elsewhere, sometimes in religious faith, and then respond strongly to local incentives and often play the sports they grew up (like Messi in Argentina).
In fact , when are they going to FINALLY start playing baseball in Argentina?
Colin Kaepernick seems to get offended about a lot of things.
And his feelings about symbolic products apparently have a lot of sway over the decisions of a $36 billion company.
Strange. It’s almost like it’s contrived, like it’s... theater.
Nah. No way. That’s just silly talk. After all, wouldn’t all those pulled sneakers be waste, increasing pollution and Nike’s carbon footprint for nothing?
I wonder what Nike’s Chief Sustainability Officer thinks of this stunt. Yep, they have a Chief Sustainability Officer. For real.
Colin Kaepernick should take a knee in solidarity with Gaea — Mother Earth. Maybe Nike can give the shoes to the Central American migrants in U.S. detention camps. Wouldn’t that be an incredible gesture? AOC should broker that deal.
About Nike: I carry no brief for Colin Kaepernick. My greatest regret in the world of professional football over the last five years is that there was no NFL owner selfless enough to sign Kaepernick and start him, and let him fail in the most spectacular way possible. With the lowest QB rating in the league. Thereby eliminating all doubt about Kaepernick’s Victimhood status.
But as for the both-sides victimology debate embedded in the debate over Nike’s Betsy Ross flag shoes, there is a terrific column at The Bulwark that reminds us that Nike’s appropriation of the US flag for a sneaker design is a violation of the Flag Act under the US Code. There is zero credit owing to Kaepernick, or Nike, or the Tea Party conservatives who got their knickers in a twist. It’s just more politics by outrage in the era of Trump.
From the link provided by Chuck: And, if you haven’t had enough whiplash yet, remember that last month—literally last month!—Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a bill into law to protect protect Chick-fil-A from local governments who might not agree with its politics. Conservatives cheered.
Now, when a different conservative governor uses the power of government to punish a company for its politics, conservatives cheer.
When they do it, it's bad! When we do it, it's good!
...and when this song is over, everyone change sides and we'll do the same exact dance all over again.
In 1942, a set of guidelines around the display and use of the flag of the United States, called the U.S. Flag Code, was established, though it was unenforceable.
Nice deflection and web-traffic detour by Chuck "the lawyer" expert -
Does the U.S. Flag Code apply to Betsy Ross design
LLR Chuck is STILL desperately pushing far left viewpoints from the radical leftist funded The Bulwark!!
Not surprising really as the leftist website The Bulwark was pushing the same lie Chuck was pushing just the other day regarding a hoax Trump Admin Federal Busing Plan!
Its also no surprise that Chuck goes to bat for anti-American Kaepernick when you consider how much time and energy Chuck puts into attacking any and all cinservatives who happen to have stellar military backgrounds.
LLR Chuck HATES that.
LLR Chuck much prefers and continuously defends Dick "US Troops Are Gestapo" Durbin and Da Nang Dick "Stolen Valor" Blumenthal.
Chuck even tried to push his own Stolen Valor Mitigation lies for Blumenthal AFTER the facts had been pointed out to him.
Keep this in mind whenever some topic involving patriotism comes up. Like all lefties, LLR Chuck reflexively recoils at the mere prospect of supporting America.
Btw, The Bulwark employs serial adulterer and Deadbeat Dad Charlie Sykes who was doinking and hanging out with a new girlfriendvl while refusing to pay the bills for his child.
But Nike has had its own issues with accusations of labor exploitation. The shoemaker was plagued with accusations that it used sweatshop labor all through the 1980s and 1990s until by 1998, Nike founder Phil Knight pledged to purge the company’s supply chain of sweatshop labor.
In the ensuing decade, Nike earned many plaudits for its efforts to end sweatshop labor. But despite the renewed reputation as an honest manufacturer, Nike recently ran afoul of human rights and labor activists once again.
In one case, the company was accused of abusive and unsafe working conditions in a factory in Hansa, Vietnam. The accusations sparked protests in Boston, Washington D.C., Bangalore, and San Pedro Sula in Honduras.
Also, in March of 2017 the International Labor Rights Forum insisted that Nike had “turned its back” on labor agreements effectively preventing independent monitors from reviewing conditions in many of its overseas factories.
You see how that works? Donate some money to the DNC and pay Kaepernick and that pink haired lesbian to make a fuss, and your troubles are taken care of..
Those who watched the Kamala Harris launch January 21st; then the Jussie Smollett fake MAGA lynching on January 29th; then the Feb 14th lynch legislation, and then connected the seemingly pushed narrative (all bearing the familiar sniff of Clinton Politcal-Ops) are undoubtedly noting how Harris’s campaign hired Marc Elias, who heads Perkins Coie’s political law group and was Hillary’s campaign lawyer in 2016.
If the media narrative is following the DNC script, then it does seem likely Biden was thrown into the race as a toxic white-male pinata positioned to draw the attention of the party goers. Everyone taking a turn beating Creepy Joe then helps reset the race dynamic as the visible white male is beaten into submission.
Obviously, under this scenario, Crazy Bernie will cash-out (sell his data) before he gets hoisted into pinata position #2.
The aligned media will never allow Kamala Harris to be vetted and will defend her interests at all costs.
Willie Brown will get the Reverend Wright treatment. Memory hole for him.
The Texas law prohibits the government from taking "adverse action" against any individuals or businesses based on membership, support or donations to religious groups. Not even remotely similar. AZ isn't preventing Nike from doing business (as San Antonio did with Chick fil A); they're merely refusing to give them tax abatements.
Jim Swift, Chuck, and the penguin are all full of shit.
I read that long New Yorkerinterview with Hunter Biden. It's a nice profile of a narcissist and required reading for those who want to learn how to spot lies. However, it left me wondering if Joe Biden has any sort of moral compass. This was his response to Hunter's adulterous affair with his brother's widow (Hunter was still married at the time) Bold highlights are mine:
“I said, ‘Dad, Dad, you have to.’ He said, ‘Hunter, I don’t know if I should. But I’ll do whatever you want me to do.’ I said, ‘Dad, if people find out, but they think you’re not approving of this, it makes it seem wrong. The kids have to know, Dad, that there’s nothing wrong with this, and the one person who can tell them that is you.’ ” A former Biden aide confirmed that Biden agreed to issue a statement because of concerns about Hunter’s well-being. Biden told the Post, “We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. . . . They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them.”
Amazing. Let's teach the kids that adultery is OK. Whatever makes you feel good, Hunter.

Wait, what month is this?
Hamstring is one report I read.
Did anyone see the video of the young Norwegians rescuing four giant sea turtles trapped float line in the Pacific"?
A nice job done all around by the young dudes.
But @2:58 in the video the seemingly "woke" rescuer calls the struggling turtle a "Fittetryne" or "Cunt Face".
Evidently that's a common Norwegian swear.
.
Fitte means "cunt" and is used as a noun, as in jævla fitte ("fucking cunt", literally "devilled vulva") with a general meaning of "asshole".
Fittetryne meaning "cunt face".
Go back and watch the whole otherwise laudable rescue.

They refused to give a reason before the match. In the post game press conference the US coach said it was a hamstring.

It was a soccer match. Not martial combat.
Gahrie: "They refused to give a reason before the match. In the post game press conference the US coach said it was a hamstring."
Hammies take forever to fully heal.
"It was a soccer match. Not martial combat."
LOL! They weren't using bayonets. But they were valiant on the pitch. Good game and fun to watch.
I've found people either love the beautiful game or they don't. People either get it and have have loads of fun, or they don't get it and cannot understand. I have always loved it but I grew up playing it.
Still ignoring Andy Ngo.

Certainly by the olympics.
I pulled a hamstring once in my life- a slow healing injury, and a debilitating one for running.

Achilles,
I love soccer.
Who is Tim Howard? How awesome is he? What World Cup game showed just how great he is?
wwww missing the point per usual, Drago.
Quick lesson would be to have her "man" a video camera for women's soccer game, then men's.
Iceland is a population of maybe 400,000 people. If they can do it the USA should be able to do it. I've been dreaming of this my entire life.
The pink poffie don't talk agout the slande.
Bloody Iceland figured it out.
Well, diving isn't a passionate, culturally dominant sport for any country on the planet, so the analogy fails, and, to be honest, the US has fallen way behind in even that sport in the last 2 decades.
Yancey,
Their center of gravity advantage would make them hard to tackle.
And you do get it- you did write "obscure sports". Soccer isn't an obscure sport for much of the world, but diving is an obscure sport for all of them.
Oh the great cuntly son, Shame!
You know, you know, how poor they are.
And how rich you are.
You know.
So you just gotta not be wierd (SO TOUGH) but let them know you ought be treated just a little bit special because.
FYI: I get my kicks stompin'.
On dreams.
!
Well, diving isn't a passionate, culturally dominant sport for any country on the planet, so the analogy fails, and, to be honest, the US has fallen way behind in even that sport in the last 2 decades.

Half the lefties spend their time destroying everything and the other half of the lefties, like wwww and Inga, spend their time denying it.

Meh. I'm not down for a culture war. It's your own business if you want to watch the games or not.
US fans and the American Outlaws shut down the streets of Paris marching into the stadium. When the Yanks come Marching In...
Absolutely gorgeous flower, thank you.
Meh. I'm not down for a culture war.
Untrue. You support the culture war 100%.
Wars are, even if one is not down with them. They are phenomena independent of the individual and override individual preference.
Put the MIT analytics and the Boston sports brain trust on it and they win world cup, too. Just hasn’t happened yet.
Often flashes the image of a crazed face at the door when I happen upon the desire to evangelize, in myself or others. Especially in others.
Chris N.: It’s what being a “citizen of the world” means. Football, soccer, futbol, whatever. The world loves it, so what’s wrong with us???
That’s the thinking. My experience us that most soccer “fans” don’t care about the sport/game. It’s “the community” (just like everything else).
When those shoes get out someone’s gonna be rich
Don't buy Nike products. Any company that bends its marketing to appease Colin Kaepernick isn't a good company.
Plenty of good shoemakers out there.
What's with all this soccer bullshit?

Selfless NFL owners, Chuck?

And, if you haven’t had enough whiplash yet, remember that last month—literally last month!—Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a bill into law to protect protect Chick-fil-A from local governments who might not agree with its politics.
LOL!!
Very likely LLR Chuck-esque.

You guys don;t understand. Nike has all sorts of with its third world sweat shops.
This is how they buy off the left.
The fix has been in for Kamala Hariss since the beginning but her failure to be an appealing candidate was a setback.
Now, the machine is getting its momentum back.
How's the purple-haired, rat-faced rapin' ho soccer cunt doing?
BTW, there is also evidence that LLR approved Charlie Sykes has been very very threatening to women.
That is certainly on par with our own interactions with LLR's at Althouseblog.

I read that long New Yorker interview with Hunter Biden.
