"To have my name associated with something so unspeakably vile has affected me in more ways than I might have shown."

"I just didn’t want to address it right away, and I didn’t want to give the terrorist any more attention. I didn’t want to make it about me. Because I don’t think it has anything to do with me. To put it plainly, I didn’t want hate to win. But it’s clear to me now — the ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ movement should have ended then."

From "‘I didn’t want hate to win’: PewDiePie ends ‘subscribe’ meme after Christchurch shooter’s shout-out" in WaPo.
With more than 95 million subscribers, [Felix] Kjellberg [AKA PewDiePie] long held claim to the title of YouTube’s most popular channel until recently. But as he promoted an anti-Semitic YouTube channel, produced videos that cracked dark jokes about anti-Semitism and Nazis and once yelled the n-word while playing a video game, critics raised alarms about his influence on the young and impressionable.

The “Subscribe to PewDiePie” movement evoked some of those same concerns — culminating, of course, with its invocation during the Christchurch massacre. The grass roots effort started harmlessly enough last year, with viral videos and pranks....

Just stop with the guilt by association dumbshits. Jesus fucking Christ, this country deserves Stalinism. The guy plays games and does videos. Now he has to post his thoughts about New Zealand. Nuts.

The leftists blame everyone else for their pathologies.

They are the racists.

They are the anti-semites.

They are the rapists and sexists.

Every other group of people in this country cast out and denounce racism/sexism.

Democrats defend their hate.

The mosque he shot up produced 3 - not 2 - hardline jihadis for isil.

In no way is it justified by any means, but it's important not to forget the truth. You may not be interested in the ummah, but best believe it's very interested in you...

I've heard of this guy, but the list of the currently most subscribed to youtube channels is basically long who-the-hell-is-that? list.

It's interesting that many near the top are Hindi language entertainment channels. The Indian audience is vast and growing quickly. No doubt that if the Chinese audience wasn't cordoned off to their own domestic services (like Youku and iQiyi) most of the top channels would be Chinese language.

“What a f—— n—–.”

“Jeez, oh my God, what the f—,” he said. “Sorry, but what the f—. What a f—ing a——. I don’t mean that in a bad way.”

You can view the moment for yourself here. It should go without saying that the video contains s—— l————.

"Never say 'PewDiePie'", oops I meant "Never say 'negro'".

'Tis funny that a hundred-some years ago, "Jeez, oh my God" would've been the (most) offensive part; but nowadays never, ever, speak like Abe Lincoln.

The synagogue that was shot up on Saturday had hired an armed Border Patrol agent for security. So why did this perp with an AR15 make his way into the synagogue? And when the BP agent finally did shoot at the guy he missed. If you're going to have security, you need security you can rely on.

I've run across the word, but never checked out what it was about and still don't care what it is. I watched about 30 seconds of the video and decided to cut and run.

The shooter went to a Trader Joes an picked up an all-natural energy drink to get him through the task. Thanks, Trader Joes: now you must shut down all your stores.

That drove some of the subscribe to PewDiePie enthusiasm.
