"It's been really hard because I have been an ally for a long time and to be rejected this way is very painful."

Said Rob Mueller-Owens, quoted in "In interview, former Whitehorse staffer speaks publicly for the first time since altercation with student" (Capital Times).
"The most painful thing about this besides being betrayed by the school district, the people I worked with — I believed in the agenda that [Madison school superintendent] Jennifer Cheatham and (district administrators) Alex Fralin and Nancy Hanks established for us, and I promoted it and worked toward it as hard as I could — is the leaders in the community who have jumped on the bandwagon that I'm a racist c---, and have said that in their political messaging, their campaigning, their Facebook feeds and all of social media," Mueller-Owens said.... "I never thought my career would end in disgrace, and it didn't have to end that way," Mueller-Owens said.
David Blaska (who is running for a seat on the school board in tomorrow's election) has this blog post on the Cap Times article:
And where were our putative school board leaders? Ducking for cover, as always.
  • School Board President Mary Burke declined to comment for this story.
  • School Board member TJ Mertz declined to comment
  • Cris Carusi, declined to address the claims
  • Seat 4 candidate Ali Muldrow [and Blaska’s opponent] was critical of Mueller-Owens’ claims
  • Kaleem Caire, who is running for Seat 3 on the board, said he would be open to talking with Mueller-Owens. “(Mueller-Owens) shouldn’t have engaged that young lady like he did,” Caire said. “I think he should feel lucky and thankful that he was able to get a severance and move on with his career.”

This must be an April Fool's joke. My comment posted immediately!!

It's the deleted expletive that compels attention: racist c---. If the hyphens each stand for a letter, it must be cunt. But given that Mueller-Owens is (or at least presents as) a man, that seems unlikely. So I suppose it could be cock, but that's an unusual way to use the term. Most likely would be cocksucker. Racist cocksucker. Yes, that has a nice ring, and something one could imagine the community bandwagon saying.

This discussion of the "community" in the article is Orwellian:

"Whether Mueller-Owens will be able to find a place in the community remains to be seen, as he has kept a low profile since media reports surfaced last month about the Feb. 13 incident and sparked a flurry of outrage in the community."

What community? If it's the Madison community, since when does a town get to tell you whether you have a place there or not? If it isn't, then what community is it?

There isn't enough racism in this country to meet the demand.

The left knows it is empty and devoid of anything useful and positive.

They are the party of hate.

The voice of the kommissar.

'twas ever thus on the left. He should feel lucky and thankful he didn't get the guillotine.

How can you do anything but laugh at this guy? Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure any white person who describes themselves as "an ally" has been happy to label and dismiss other white people are "racist" or "bigoted" many times in the past. Now it's happening to him.

You can never be "woke" enough.

It's the lesson a lot of NeverTrump conservatives are going to be learning very soon. Whatever tolerance exists for that stuff on the Right is going to evaporate heading into 2020. The business community is likely going to side with Trump against WHATEVER quasi-or-legitimate socialist gets the Democratic nomination and when GOP political pros are faced with a Trump defeat that almost certainly leaves Democrats also in charge of the House and Senate, stuff like The Bulwark isn't going to seem so cute. Win or lose, the NeverTrumpers have no future on the Right...and if they think their new admirers on the Left will welcome them with open arms, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell them.

The white allies are in for a shock when they find out they are despised and unwanted and the most vulnerable to this kind of treatment in the future due to proximity.

This is a lot like what happened to Christakis at Yale: the event itself is grotesque, yet the victims are true believers in the revolution that has turned on them, so that it is hard to feel much sympathy.

robother said...

Mr. Mueller-Owens thought he was part of the solution; instead he (still can't see) he was part of the problem. The "Woke" virus renders Progressives powerless before primitive tribalism of the [fill in Identity here]. Civilization--education, art, politics, reasoned discourse, law--cannot endure in any tribal area. As well call yourself an "ally" of the Taliban, as these folks.

"I have been in several situations where students have kicked me, spit on me, broke my ankle, and I still did not conduct myself in that kind of manner," Price said when no criminal charges were filed against Mueller-Owens.

If you're being physically assaulted and don't defend yourself, you're part of the problem. My guess is that her daughter will end up in prison sooner rather than later. And good riddance to her when it happens.

Not until she is out of school, she has carte-Blanche until then. That's really what the election is about.

I clicked on someone's profile, and just learned that Google+ is shutting down, tomorrow, April 2. I don't believe this is a prank. And I only learned this by happenstance. Pure evil. PURE EVIL. And the only reason they think they can get away with this (and with other evils like adjusting their algos to suit communist suppression tactics), is because they've always gotten away with this.

Big Mike said...

I guess the moral of the story is that if a student assaults you in the Madison school district then your career is over anyway, so you might as well cut loose on them and pound them so hard they’ll never walk in a straight line again. We call it “street justice,” and there’s a reaso for the second word.

I cannot imagine hating a kid so much you’d send him to Madison public schools.

Rob said...

The unstated goal of the public schools is to keep young people off the streets until they're old enough to be tried as adults.

Lucien said...

If Ms. Price had severely punished her daughter for assaulting Mueller-Owens then the poor girl might have had a chance. But if she’s stuck in the “school to prison pipeline” then Mom can blame structural racism. Another basis for reparations. Call Ta Nehisi! Call Spartacus!

The most painful thing SHOULD be the self-recognition that he fell for their scam. But I assume he will not look that inward.

I'm sure he believes AOC about The New Green Deal.

I'm sure he believes MSNBC about Trump and the deplorables.

I'm sure he believes a lot of things that made him feel good to be virtuous and righteous.

ReTweets from his Twitter account:

Stephen Colbert: "90% sure Trump nicknamed Kim Jong Un “Rocket Man” because he forgot his name."

Sen. Tammy Baldwin: "Dreamers: If your DACA protection expires before March 5, 2018, you must renew before October 5, 2017."

Faith in Public Life: "When can we stop calling PEOPLE illegal? #GOPDebate"

Dude: maybe you cared about the kids more than the politicians did. Maybe you cared about the kids more than their own parents did.

I teach math in a high school in suburban Maryland. In my school we treat people of color as if they were radioactive when it comes to discipline. No consequences for most infractions, keep a safe distance so as not to appear racist. This policy isn't good for anyone. Also, the only time any school employee would touch any student is if the student were assaulting another student. This is how we avoid falling on students for 15 or so seconds.

A school filled with apprentice gang members isn't going to respond to the Positive Behavior plan in the way a school filled with the middle class will but the teachers in each situation have to get the same statistics. This so unreal. It's another lefty plan which is not working; and another example of how leftys absolutely refuse to admit mistakes or failure. They cannot do it; and so, once they are running anything, any failure becomes permanent. This is one reason not to vote for them.

A good former girlfriend who recruits for a B(oston)PS side project (essentially, you sign on, they get you an MEd and you work for the schools for like 10 years or something), used to tell me that I had nothing better going on educationally, so I probably should consider the free MEd to teach Bilingual Math, or History or Science.

I'm like, "where?" Ultimately, somewhere where I'd be teaching SPED on the cheap, aka, doing police/social work without the backup.

Steel Panther Lyrics
"Party All Day (Fuck All Night)"
(feat. Justin Hawkins)

When I was only three
My mama said to me
"Don't go screwin' a skanky girl
Or you're gonna get VD"

When I was seventeen
I boned a kooky bitch
A couple days later, my balls swelled up
And my crotch began to itch

But that's when I totally knew
What God wanted me to do, woah

Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey
Fuck all night, and party all day
Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey
I'm gonna fuck all night and party all day

Check it out
Now I'm in a bitchin' band
And I'm banging every night
I don't care if she's a trailer ho
And she's got three friggin' eyes

I get up in the afternoon
'Cause I ain't got a stupid job
I drink some beer and I watch cartoons
While a slut polishes my knob

Smoke and drink and screw
That's what I was born to do, woah

Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey!
Fuck all night and party all day!
Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey!
I'm gonna fuck all night and party all day, let's go

Now God's looking down on me
Saying, "Hey man, way to be!"

Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey!
Fuck all night and party all day!
Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey!
Fuck all night and party all day

Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey!
Fuck all night and party all day!
Whoa, ohhh, oh oh, hey, hey, hey!
Fuck all night and party all day

Fuck fuck fuck yeah
Fuck yeah!
...Fuck yeah, dude

Over years, I don't believe I've ever heard Limbaugh use literally literally.

But it happened today. Trump?

School districts love to hold bond and board votes at odd times of the year. A form of voter suppression. Only the highly motivated (I.e. beneficiaries) vote.

Small turnout favors incumbents and the administration.

“(Mueller-Owens) shouldn’t have engaged that young lady like he did"

The kid is entitled to become violent without consequence in Madison. The mother is entitled to be outraged when a school official attempts to bring her child under control. The school district is entitled to fire anyone who disciplines a minority student.

Mueller-Owens now knows that no good deed goes unpunished.
