Agreed!

There was video evidence of him sexually abusing a minor 30 years ago. But somehow he avoided jail. And here we are.

Thanks for the clip. Have not seen any SNL for maybe three decades.

Too much like the real interview. It's hard to parody real life in this case.

questions:
30 years ago, when he Video taped HIMSELF committing statutory Rape...
A) WHY did they let him wait until she was 18 to prosecute him?
B) WHY did they let it make a difference that she was older at the time of the trial?
C) WHY did Anyone think that it would stop there?

Who's R. Kelly?

Who is Gayle King?

And why do all these interviewers get top billing, as in "Gayle King interview with..."?

SNL captured it correctly.

"You Are Not Alone..."

Sounds creepy now. I think I'd rather be alone.

Clearly this cold open is size-ist.
Much like Will Smith is too light skinned to play darker actors, Kenan Thompson (who?) is too fat to play R Kelly.
And Leslie Jones (who?) is too tall to play Gayle King (who?).

This travesty of dimension-ist appropriation cannot stand!!!!!!

The game show bit built from the Will Smith controversy was surprisingly good, even better than the cold open. Idris Elba is terrific.

Leslie Jones looks like a female version of 50 Cent.

Leslie Jones needs to do better at memorizing her lines. Between her stumbling through and the subject matter, the laughs from the audience seemed forced. Kenan Thompson did a good job with the parody.

Now do Matt Lauer.
