Trump keeps a red button on his desk and it puzzles/worries visitors.

According to a new book by a former staffer.

I love Jake Tapper's visualization:

Of all the awful qualities of American journalists today, playing dumb is the most contemptible.

It isn't play in most cases.

It’s the reset button from the State Dept.

The Staples button?

Didn't we already know what the button is for in early 2017? Why would it still be making visitors anxious?

A Coke and a smile. Pepsi is unAmerican.

They are not playing, Earnest.

Animation could be really ballsy if done about desk button in Matt Lauer's office.

Similarly, SNL wasted an 'It' sketch when made it about Kellyanne Conway lurking in sewer instead of Harvey Weinstein.

Good for Journolist Jake to have a fallback career.

It is a bug-zapper for Jake Tapper.

This is one of the reasons I like TRUMP!

What if Obama had the red button on his desk? How do you think the cartoonist would play that? Would every guess be a slam against Obama?

Trump has a great sense of humor.

Darrell said...

Which visitors, exactly, expressed anxiety over the button?
Nutty Lefties?

it sends out a signal that brings him big macs and two scoops

Does it have a yellow background? That would make it an "Emergency Stop" or "E-Stop" as defined in the CFR.

Pressing it would immediately disconnect all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam or any other energy source as well as release any pressure or stored electricity.

Sounds like it would be a pretty good button to have connected to the state department.

Or it could just be an "Easy Button" that you can buy from Staples for $5-10.

Or, most likely, it is just a red button, connected to nothing, that he uses to spin up assholes like Jake Tapper.

"Hey Vlad, watch what happens when I press this" He presses it and Jake Tapper's had catches on fire.

Are there pictures? Seems like as many pictures as we have of the Oval Office there would be a picture of it.

Mr. Burns has one that really, really works. As designed and as you would expect.

Yes but the trapdoor doesn't work some times.

The button has nothing to do with the football.

Is red button the left over Russian "Over charge" button the State Dept. presented to Putin?

rhetorical question:
Is there a limit to the stupidity of CNN?

Dear corrupt left, go F yourselves said...

too bad it's not a trap door to the hack-journo- hungry snapping alligator pit.

My guess is that Trump would be similarly criticized if he didn't have a red button on his desk.

That cartoon was hot garbage. That's the kind of sophomoric partisan drivel that CNN provides, huh? What a smirky snotty attitude from Fake Fapper, too. Boy, he's got a punchable face. I'd love to grind my bootheels on it.

just about everyone at CNN is punchable. Clinton Newz

Trump single-handedly created the job of button pusher in chief. It will probably never be done as well again.

Who do you think Putin appreciates more: CNN or MSNBC? No matter who is President, Russians like Putin will always appreciate any help they can get attacking and weakening the American President. No group has ever given that effort more energy and passion than the American media today. Great Job, but you guys are running the ball the wrong direction.

Trump is an expert at pushing buttons. Many people have more of them than an accordion.

Narayanan said...

Maybe Trump is daring somebody to ask for it as souvenir of visit?
Fairgrounds trick ... Only one in the world, you can have it for $$$$$$.

Has the American media ever attacked any world leader with the ferocity they do our President, or really any Republican holding the job? Compare their coverage of Trump to say Maduro, or Kim, or the Iranian leadership. Leaders who are actually hurting their own people in horrendous ways while Americans endure record employment, wages, and prosperity. Impeach that fucker, and right away. This injustice cannot stand!

If Trump has a red button, and it worries visitors; then he effectively trolled them.

Didn't watch the video, but it's Trump's "please bring me a Diet Coke" button.

Trump is a madman warmonger!

Right?

Amen brother Prole. It's not just the media, playing dumb is an epidemic.

Goju said...

"Puzzles/worries visitors"? Right. We can take CNN's word for that. It's not like they have ever lied about Trump, right?

It's a Diet Coke button.

chillblaine said...

It's not a diet coke button. It opens an intercom hardwired to the Macdonalds. Trump, being Trump, enjoys feeling like he is making decisions in the drive through. I get this. I get some of my best thinking done while thinking about a juicy burger, beverage, and once in a while, a nice chocolate shake to pwn the libs.
