"Mamas, Don't Let Your Fetus Grow Up to Be Babies."

A track from the Beto O'Rourke country album imagined by Bill Maher — from Maher's show last Friday night. The set up for this joke is that Ted Cruz, O'Rourke's opponent in the Texas Senate race, has "attacked" O'Rourke for having been in a rock band when he was young and, of course, for being a liberal in Texas. So for Texas, it should be country music, but for O'Rourke, it would be liberal country music, and then we get a series of song titles that play on famous country song titles (or famous lines). The funniest ones are probably "Kale Miner's Daughter," "A They Named Sue," and "I Shot a Man in Reno Just to Watch Him Use Affordable Health Care." These were getting a lot of laughs, but the audience suffered audibly at "Mamas, Don't Let Your Fetus Grow Up to Be Babies."

I couldn't find a video clip of this segment, but here's my photo proving he really said this:

Also on Friday's show, Maher urged Democrats to let Al Franken back in the game. The idea was that comedy is Donald Trump's "kryptonite" and all other interests must be subordinated to destroying Trump.
“I believe Al... Women should be heard always. And we should always keep in mind that vast majority of women reporting serious abuse are truthful. But women didn’t also lose the ability to lie in 2017.... Are Democrats really going to permanently send away one of our ablest warriors for being a waist grabber?... He didn’t drive her off a bridge and leave her drown. Can we get some perspective? Does every infraction, no matter how small, have to be rehashed for an entire lifetime? That’s not politics, that’s marriage.”

How is Maher's marriage ?

Maher has never married.[117][118] Regarding marriage, Maher is quoted on his website as saying, "I'm the last of my guy friends to have never gotten married, and their wives—they don't want them playing with me. I'm like the escaped slave—I bring news of freedom."

Got it.

Women may lie -- a lot do -- but Al's problem was that there was a picture. And he wasn't grabbing the woman's waist.

If you cover the NewAge Movement/cult beat, as I do, there are celebrities and politicians who have clearly been at odds with reality for a very long time - on specifically NewAge subjects - like Bill Maher, Jim Carrey, Jenny McCarthy, Robert deNiro, etc. being anti-vaccine - that, I think, indicate they're irrational and shouldn't be getting the respectful coverage they do. They're, literally, harmful to the nation, and - in the case of vaccines - to the world.

I've traveled the world, so know what we do here matters elsewhere, and - as long as we stay superstitious idiots at war with reality - that's what the rest of the world will stay filled with, too. Why we haven't understood that, in all this time, is a mystery to me.

It's like Americans have no interest in anyone but ourselves, all the while driving me insane with claims to want to "make a difference". Shit, make one: just stop being horrible people.

Maher is a talented comedian when delivering actual comedy and not just polemic.

Using Cruz's criticism to launch a bit at the "expense" of O'Rourke is one example where humor beat the narrative.

And Beto was in a punk band, a rather bad one, wasn't he?

I think everyone's got this backwards: the only way to get to Trump is to set standards elsewhere. Bill Maher is anti-vaccine. So is Robert deNiro. Punish them, and others like them, for it and then, maybe, you can go for Trump on those same grounds - you got credibility. But, if you just go for Trump outright - while not focussing on the guys who've been pushing this nonsense without penalty for years - you're just being a lame opportunist, because these other fools are way more prevalent and powerful in spreading misinformation to the public than Trump has ever been - because they don't like or trust Trump.

That's how this shit works.

Smarmy little self important worms like Franken need smacking down hard.

No. In fact, prog transgressions can be buried pretty quickly. Billy Jeff didn't suffer any consequences for his transgressions. Alcee got a seat in Congress after being convicted for corruption. Keith Ellison is beating the rap right now. Progs are getting their priorities in order, so #MeToo must be reined in a tad. Bill is helping the cause.

The abortion joke gets at a core vulnerability of the elite consensus, that is, the white elite.

They haven't, generally, the self confidence to reproduce. They hate themselves and their own kind, this being a fundamental tenet of their culture, without which they would lose their status. Even if they do reproduce they are apt to deliberately twist their own children, forcing them to adopt an ideology of shame and insecurity, for the sake of social success in their culture. Deep down I think this is something very stressful, showing up as a great number of bizarre phenomena among the more vulnerable. Therefore they have to adopt increasingly rigid ideological positions to deal with it, and especially to find enemies to displace this self hatred.

So babies are in those circles hate-objects, a result of twisted unnatural conflicts between social anxiety and natural instinct.

The stupid part is that the entire thing is memetic, pure fashion. An evil fashion is a plausible way to exterminate a people.

Legal drugs not used in risk management protocols normalize self-destructive choices.

Legal abortions aid and abet Planned Parenthood et al (i.e. selective and recycled-child) and offer comfort to people who carry out cruel and unusual punishment and summary capital punishment of the wholly innocent for light and casual causes.

Legal immigration that is not excessive (i.e. exceeds the rate of assimilation and integration before Planned Parenthood), that doe not provided cover for immigration reform (e.g. anti-nativism, diversity, trail of tears, social justice adventures, population replacement, shifted responsibility), and that does not avoid emigration reform is better than illegal immigration.

According to the newest most lysenkoist lefty science, we now know that babies come from eggs and sperm that choose to identify as a not really human at all type of blob, which may or may not be removed at the whim of the mother because its no different than a toenail, which then magically becomes a human baby only after traveling down the birth canal and emerging completely (because even a foot or toe left in constitutes "not really a human baby yet" status) and then, without any gender or sexual identity until after a rigorous course of "study"/propaganda training under lefty tutors in our public schools.
