Sure, you start out collecting thoughts but wind up winning season 10 of Hoarders.

OK..this is what i was just thinking about.

RBG is 85 years old. She almost certainly doesn't make it through a second Trump term, and might not make it through the first. So let's assume that Trump gets to replace her, and picks an originalist. This would give the orginalists a 5 seat majority.

This new majority would render Kennedy's vote meaningless. We all know the only reason Kennedy is still around is because he knows and enjoys the power he has as the swing vote that can determine the outcome. With that gone, he probably retires. Trump replaces him with yet another orginalist.

Breyer is in his 80's. He could go at anytime....that would be Trump's fourth nomination....can you imagine the woe from the Left?

How about a court of:

Roberts
Thomas
Alito
Gorsuch
Trump pick #2
Trump pick #3
Trump pick #4
RBG
Kagan

Perhaps it's a bit OCD. But I'm not a fan of the tilty pix. Makes me think the photographer was taking a photo while having a stroke and falling to the floor.

But that's just me. ;)

Mika and Joe and their MSNBC cohorts give a sober assessment of Bill and Hillary re #MeToo.

Spoiler alert - it's accurate and not good for the Clintons.

Isn't your scenario Sotomayor instead of RGB?

Just a glorious spring day in Boston. 53 degrees, light wind, and steady rain. Had to turn the heat back on. Just two short days ago it was 80+ degrees with high humidity, needed to turn on the A/C to make sleeping comfortable. I love this place.

From the Bay Area Guy article:

"And so what you saw there, I think is the end of Bill Clinton's life as a public figure in this country," MSNBC political commentator Steve Schmidt said. "Because of that interview I don't think he's campaigning anywhere ever again unless he can clean it up and fix it pretty quickly."

So now He needs a fixer?

But how can the Investors in Hillary!!!'s campaign get their money back now?

There was a little too much criticism of Trump in that segment with Joe and Mika. But I agree: not at all good for Clintonland.

Just got a ticket.

CNN interviewed Stormy Daniels and/or her sleazebag attorney Avenatti at least 59 times in March and April.

In contrast, anytime, Hillary is publicly talking about the 2016 election or Bill is man'splaining his past sexual harassment charges is a good day.

"My God, he sounded like [President] Trump. He sounded incapable of owning anything," she added.

Oh, he sounded exactly like he's sounded all his life. It's just that now he's no longer President, no longer tied to Hillary's Campaign of Destiny(tm), and no longer an asset on the down ballot campaign trail, you guys decided to wake up to what he's always been.

The photograph tilts to the left because the photographer tilts to the right. This keeps the viewers off-balance for the purpose of entertaining the photographer.

I saw Dems on Twitter upset the NYT and WAPO aren't using quotes from Dem Congresspeople to "refute" Trump's statements.

Apparently the Times and Post feel their pieces can be written without a quote from the opposition party.

These people obviously don't know the Times and Post are doing the Dems a favor by not printing the words of Democrats.

Getting Dems out talking about "crumbs", "impeachment", and how MS-13 members aren't animals is what turned the "blue wave" into the Pacific Ocean.

From The Daily Beast, we get this headline: Melania Trump Due to Re-Emerge Monday.

And if she sees her shadow, it's six more weeks of summer.

James Madison gave his advice on what the Framers intended, when that suited him, and said that their intentions did not matter; the text as written by Gouverneur Morris must be taken as it stands, when that suited him.
It is easily forgotten that the Framers themselves were mostly lawyers and practised politicians.

The Dems sent a letter of their demands for President Trump's negotiations with Kim. I have no problem with what they want (which will make the negotiations as difficult as possible), but where were they during the Iran deal?? Situational I guess.

All those hats in one pile with one theme: Not Trump. Nothing positive, yet.

Althouse, you say: "And yet, how is a same-sex wedding cake different from an opposite-sex wedding cake? The cake is the same, but the baker knows how it's going to be used, and he refuses to sell because of that. Is that or isn't that a discrimination against a type of person? That's the big disagreement."brides

Do we know that the two cakes posed are the same? If the two cakes merely said "Happy Wedding" or "Congratulations" I would agree with you. Is that what the factual record below demonstrated? If the baker was being asked to draw two grooms or two brides instead of a traditional bride and groom, those cakes would not be equivalent in the religious baker's mind would they? My understanding is that the record does not at all support the position that this baker refused to sell an innocuous and generic "Happy Wedding" cake to this gay couple but that they wanted something special and specific to them, which he would not do. I could be wrong but that's my understanding. And, if I'm correct, this decision is far too narrow in protecting the baker's free exercise rights.

I kinda like the White House canceling the Philly Special visit to celebrate the Super Bowl. Since it has become just another opportunity for political statements, why not let the president have his say too? This one-sided business of "I'm not coming because you're mean" needs a response. "Yeah, I'm mean and you ain't coming."

VDH is out with a piece entitled "The Scandal on the Other Foot" intended to mimic the Trump/Russian/DOJ/FBI fiasco that began in 2016 and is now into the second year of the Robert Mueller investigation.

In this 2024 version of the 2016 election and afterglow, Trump plays Obama, Pence is the GOP candidate and the Dems put up 84-year-old Bernie Sanders - who worries Trump because Bern wants to do in free-market capitalism - which is just as unbelievable as an octogenarian running for president since free-market is not associated with limiting trade through tariffs.
