"Now that we’re supposed to believe there was no real investigation of Trump and his campaign, what else can we conclude but that there was no real evidence of collusion between the campaign and Russia . . . which makes sense, since Russia did not actually hack the election, so the purported objective of the collusion never existed."
Writes Andrew McCarthy.

Now, if Congress can only get health care right.
They didn't.
First draft. I am sure they are perfectly capable of screwing it up but this is early yet.
We are not dealing with Reid and Pelosi anymore.
I hope.
Obama was gone, an ex-president, a president no more, a president who had ceased to be, yet, wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles, Trump has brought him back to life and relevance. Now he is the leader of the resistance. A quiet sane presence in permanent gentle repudiation to KAOS.
I see ARM, has received his talking points.
Seems that Obama is the big winner this week. He has gone from incompetent diversity hire to criminal mastermind, capable of controlling the levers of government while still on extended vacation.
You can be both.
Al Capone would've been an incompetent President yet was an outstanding criminal.
The best source to read up on for an understanding of the tactics to expect from a beaten Obama now is in Fehranbach's book called This Kind of War.
Chapters 38-40 recount the Army's experience with Communist POWs held on Ko-jedo Island while the Truce was Negotiated that ended the Korean Police action.
It is all politics all the time with Communists. They kill their own who want to leave the War. And they ALWAYS accuse the opponents of the crimes they plan to do next. The Army finally took it seriously and put in a Trump type leader who had the intelligence to win. He was General Boatner, and he understood the Chinese.

Obama blames Bush YEARS after he left office for all problems and it's "acceptable".
Trump mentions that the press has reported, FOR MONTHS, that his predecessor from TWO MONTHS EARLIER was spying on him and he's just lamely bringing up a former President.
Amazing.

-- Eric Holder stated that Obama was waiting for the right moment for his return to politics. Trump took that off the table. If you didn't know that Obama was both pushing surrogates to undercut Trump and planning his grand return, what you say makes sense. If you were up-to-date on current events, what you say makes no sense.

He thinks we don't notice.
There was a time when I thought he was an intelligent lefty.
There are a few but this election seems to have driven almost all insane.
When my lefty daughter told me last September that she would not vote for Hillary, I started to think there might be a chance for Trump. Still, I was surprised the next morning after the election.

Is That All There Is? These tired cliches? Come on gentlemen you can do better than this. I have not lost faith in you yet.
Guys, don't feed the troll.
What Trump is doing is following Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals." He's beating the progs about the head and shoulders with their own rule book.
Rule 13: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” So Barack Obama is yanked out from the shadows and into the sunlight.
And, as one famous politician once said: "Punch back twice as hard."
Guys, don't feed the troll.
More shopworn cliches? You can do better than this. Don't disappoint me again.
There was a time when I thought he was an intelligent lefty.
@Michael K, that never even crossed my mind.
You have the potential to be good commenters but you don't use it. You fail to make the most of your natural abilities and this genuinely saddens me. I feel you could do better if you only tried harder and cared more. If you had more pride in your efforts maybe things would be different. The old commenters were better but maybe, if you really dedicated yourself to fulfilling your potential, you could, perhaps, match their efforts. I'm rooting for you. Really I am.
I don't have any problem with ARM posting here, but if we are all losers posting nothing but shop-worn cliches, one does question his motivation for spending so much time here. If not to spread the latest talking points.
His posts are about attempting to define us as irrelevant, but his continual presence belies them.

I am here to help, Tim. I can't make you learn I can only show you alternative pathways for the mind. Ultimately, it is entirely up to you to change. You have to want to change, Tim. You have to really want it, deep down inside. I have put a lot of faith in you guys, don't let me down now.

Looks like he's having his third term.
Won't you be embarrassed when it turns out he is directing the resistance.
But that's a plus for you, right?
You are such a tool. Why the fuck would I want to support a potential one party state like the Democrats are trying to construct using the power of Federal agencies like the IRS, NSA, and DOJ? Especially when they were willing to put a ham-fisted war monger who grew wealthy peddling access at the top.
But if you want to change my mind, you could lay out why I am wrong using facts and logic. I cannot wait to hear that.
While the Trump-Russian conspiracy theory is insubstantial and unsupported; almost entirely rumor based, and it's launched a congressional investigation (thanks to feckless repubs) and gotten high profile press coverage.
Before you condemn the Republican leadership in Congress, note that the investigations that they agreed to apparently cover two things - Russian involvement and leaks of classified information. That makes the investigations bipartisan. The Dems (I am thinking right now of Rep. Cummings in particular) can't complain too much about investigating the leaks of classified and/or supposed FISA Minimized information with their buy-in on the leak investigation. And, which is more likely to be found? Russian involvement/hacking of the election? Or, illegal leaking of classified information? I think that we all, deep down, know the answer.
R&B was able to change my thinking, despite his constant rain of insults, because he also had an open mind.
You don't have that going for you.
There was a suggestion earlier that the perps in the wiretapping and release of classified/minimized data be rolled up the chain to Obama. Two problems. First, Obama has immunity for whatever he did criminally while President. The only thing that can be done for illegal Presidential acts is impeachment (and removal by the Senate). And, being out of office, he can't be impeached.
Which means that the highest that the Sessions DoJ can go is his predecessor, Lynch. She wouldn't flip anyway, since her primary job was to protect Obama, at any cost. And, she has, very likely, more culpability than anyone else anyway. She is the one who instituted the sharing of NSA information across agencies on the way out the door, and the one who had to approve the FISA wiretap warrant applications that apparently/supposedly were submitted by her dept. Some of her responsibility was not delegable. Regardless, she was the one responsible, even if her minions did the dirty work. We know that she is corrupt, esp. in the way that she handled the investigations into Crooked Hillary's email and pay-to-play foundation. She met with Bill Clinton in a very glaring conflict of interest, then refused to recuse herself. And, assigned the investigations to some of her most trusted minions. Plus, no one was ever charged with the destruction of all of the email evidence. (Remember - Crooked Hillary merely used the illegal server, it was her minions who destroyed emails and hardware containing emails). Normally, I would think that Lynch would be pretty safe, being a Black woman. But, she has gone to war against Trump, and I would not be surprised if an exception were made. I wouldn't mind also seeing some of her top deputies being led away in handcuffs too. Plus, the lower level people who actually illegally leaked the information. Still, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes - if they were operating on a wink-and-nod sort of authority, they are probably toast, if they can't be used to take down higher up players.
Maybe ARM should just call me a cunt again, except that is like calling Michael Moore a rasher of chilli dogs and a basket of cheese fries, cunts are tops with me.
Still, I guess it is within ARM's abilities.

For a guy that calls himself a reasonable man he sure can be unreasonable.
"it's funny given that nobody can demonstrate a single crime. Can you name what crime was allegedly committed?" Uh, well, yes. Stealing Podesta's emails by phishing violated 10 USC Sections 1028 & 1030. If anyone colluded with, aided and abetted or conspired with the person who actually stole the emails, that would also be a crime. As it happens, there's no evidence that I've seen that Trump or anyone acting for him did any of those things.
