Oh no they're not.

Many of us Vikes fans in MN cheer the Cheese (when out of contention) despite their being the team we most enjoy beating. No, really. We save our enmity for Chicago and Dallas. What a seat-edger game! I've never seen Rogers so elated post-game before.

If so, hopefully it did not entail using the n-word.

Welcome south brother. Great news for Green Bay fans, there is no -10 wind chills in the Georgia Dome. Many will avoid frost bite, but will have to endure meeting as good a passer QB as Rogers.

Another wine and brie opponent coming up for the brew and cheddar nation.

The final play did not involve Rogers nor any receivers. What does a field goal kicker need to do to get a little respect? Three fifty-plus yard field goals in the last couple of minutes, two of them in the last second. ( Yeah, one of them didn't count due to Dallas calling a time-out, but that did not change what the Crosby did )

Hate the Cowboys. NY Giants fan. Lived in Dallas. Member of the Texas Bar. Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate.

Cowboy's fans are the NFL equivalent of the attendees of Hillary's election night gathering at the Javits Center. You know the tears are deep and are painful, but you know they need to feel that pain to learn and hopefully expand their character, and that such opportunities to learn to be humble couldn't happen to a better bunch of people.

As one aspiring Cowboys Cheerleader said after putting it all on the line dancing salaciously with almost no clothes on, but still eventually getting cut from the final squad (I saw it on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader tryout reality TV show): "I know God has a plan for me, and I just have to keep believing that plan includes me being able to do the shimmy in a lowcut, too-tiny fake western vest, on national TV in front of tens of millions of playoff viewers." ( or something to that effect.)

Congrats to Green Bay. Rodgers is just too damn good.

Ignorance is Bliss, you're right about that. In his immediate post-game interview, Rodgers held up Crosby for those great kicks. It was one of the greatest kicking performances in NFL history.

This team is tough to beat! I'm not a big football fan and not a Packers fan, but wow, they somehow get it done over and over again. One great quarterback, one great kicker, and a bunch of good-enough, tough-enough role-players seem to do the trick.

Guaranteed. Matty Ice always chokes when there's a championship at stake.

Year after year the best games are the conference championships. The Super Bowl is anti-climax.

I don't think so. They're so depleted in the secondary they've asked me to stay near the telephone.

"Sunday was the day of the field goal kicker." Yes, they've become really good. Get a few more Brazilians in there, and they'll be even better. Maybe a second career for Wayne Rooney?

There aren't many plays designed to gain specifically around 30 yards or so.

Agree with campy. I see Atlanta choking Sunday. I also don't trust them against the Steelers or Patriots and I'm an NFC booster. I definitely favor Aaron Rodgers over Big Ben or Brady.

Well, Packers admin doesn't want you out there on the Whitney Way curb with your cardboard sign: "Will work/play corner for Hopalicious."

The packer defense worries me. They were very porous in last quarter. I got the feeling the Cowboys would've scored at will if it had gone to OT.

For those of you that have never played organized football, one of the most rigid of all team sports, it's hard to describe just how cool this actually is :)

This yes! That is what was most impressive. Just like last week Rodgers the receivers and the coaching staff did a great job of exploiting the seams in the secondary. They have a good chance of continuing that against the weak Falcons secondary, too..

One thing freaks me out about the Packers towards the end of close games which has burned them in the past is clock management. Give Tom Brady the ball with 1:40 left and it feels like an eternity. Give it to Rodgers and it feels like they might get off two plays if they're lucky.

Hell of a game. And some really, really high pressure kicking going on.

Yeah, I can remember when kicking a 50 yard FG was a big deal, no its like a walk in the park. Same with the kickoffs, they're kicking from what the 35 yard line, and can put it endzone at will.

What happened? Did someone fool around with the football? Or are Football kickers much better athletes?

Play soccer? Quit being a kicker? Become an actual football player? Ritual seppuku?

Not sure those are mutually exclusive answers but those are the ones I have.

Congratulations to the Packers! Proud of my Cowboys. A season to remember with two rookies, one of whom was not even up to snuff when Tony Romo got hurt .. again.

To Birkel's list I'd add make a tackle. But even then it usually means humiliation for the ball carrier rather than respect for the kicker.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the audience for the Packers-Cowboys game was 48 million people. More than game 7 of the World Serious. Ca-ching! And screw you Meryl Streep.

I've moved my corner to Lombardi and Oneida.

That was a 34 year old Herschel Walker and a 24 year old Adam Vinatieri. Still impressive for a kicker to catch an aging running back.

Vinatieri gets a reprieve. Great link, rehajm.

Not only better athletes, but they have developed much better techniques as well.

More than it worries the opponents, unfortunately. They are hanging in as best they can without Sam Shields. Unfortunately Sam's career is probably over. Too many head injuries. They need one superstar in the secondary and another stud linebacker.

The Julius Peppers signing looks awfully good though.

I was rooting for Dallas but had no real favorite. Love the Cowboys' new QB. He is a force to be reckoned with. Frankly surprised the the Packers pulled it off as they have looked to be on the edge of extinction much of the season but gotta hand it to them--they did a great job. Hope they beat Atlanta.

Oh, and it sounded to me like Buck & Co. were actually pulling for Green Bay. Guess they got the message.

OK, Jimmys house, or Shellys'?

Kicking performance?

I'll give that to the Steelers. That was their only offence, but good enough to beat the Chiefs. The Chiefs defence has nothing of which to be ashamed. Wish I could say the same for our offence. I hope Jeff Fisher wishes he had released his man sooner. He'll (we'll) have to live with that the entire off-season.

I loved watching former Bulldog Dak Prescott play in the SEC, and enjoyed him doing well for the Cowboys. He is the complete opposite of Colin Kaepernick, and the NFL would do well to promote him. He was one of the few bright spots of 2016.

The Falcon's defense has made a quantum leap forward. I know it's Rodgers, but he throws interceptions and the Falcons (Missing their best defensive back) are making plays. It's a whole different trams.

There is no way the Packers will stop the Falcons without my main man Morgan Burnett.

A Minnesotan but not a Viqueens fan. I gave up on the Vikings when Bud Grant was coach, which was a long time ago. Go Pack!

Amen to that. Liked in college; love him on the Cowboys. And I am definitely not a Cowboys fan.

Prescott was fantastic. I've never been a fan of the Cowboys but boy were they a worthy opponent in this game. Each team's performance brought out the best in its counterpart. Like watching a Borg vs. McEnroe match back in 1981.
