That is very nice. I always have trouble getting the blues to come out correctly in digital photography. (Or at least they never match the blue my eyes see in nature.)
This lens, the Micro-NIKKOR 105mm lens, produces really beautiful color. The tweaking that I would normally do in iPhoto, I try and then undo. I'm especially impressed by the green, which seems "creamy" to me.
For years, I had been impressed by the composition in Van Gogh's "Cafe Terrace at Night", but I had never seen the painting first hand. A few years ago, the painting passed through Seattle. I had a holy-shit moment when I saw the colors up close. The true colors (...or was it the texture?) added a whole different dimension to the picture. Cameras can't capture that dimension.
I get a lot of emails from people who don't seem to speak English that much. As far as I can tell it is mostly Muslims and Mexicans. I wouldn't mind much if they were respectful, but taking your clothes off on a WebCam Show seems to make people think they can just say anything to you.
Look, people: I am just a typical American Girl, with Dreams and Hopes and Fears, and I care enough to share them with all of you here. Should I take my top off?
The Muslims and the Mexicans though: it is always about fucking me in the butt. Butt butt butt butt Butt. The only difference is that then the Muslims want to kill me afterward, while the Mexicans want to marry me. Do you like my bra? I got it at Target...
Anyhow, here's one of the latest messages I've received, as best as I can read it:
"LonelyWebcamGirl15, my Chiquita!!!! I want to do you in your tiny blanco butt and have you meet my sainted parents!!! Arriba!!!
Actually, that would be kind of sweet if it wasn't so creepy. And Mexican. Should I take off my sweatpants?
It scares me, sometimes: what if one of these people found me and came to the House? It's not like my Dad is a Ninja or anything, they'd get right by him. I could end up in my underwear, stuffed in the trunk of a car with a pillowcase over my head, and driven to Tijuana; do you like my panties?
I wonder how many WebCam girls get kidnapped and taken to Mexico? Maybe they are made to do special shows for the Drug Cartels I hear about: they probably make you do nasty, humiliating things on camera. Should I bend over?
And meanwhile, did anyone read the poem I wrote? Anyone?
Very nice! I'll have to remember to check to see if mine are blooming yet. I use to grow them years ago, but for some reason, I stopped. This year, I decided to grow them again. Love the blue.
"Do you shoot RAW? What do you do your post processing with?"
You can click on the photo to get to some details. I'm mostly just struggling to get to a level of focus that I can't really see too well until I get to the computer! I'm just using iPhoto to tweak it, and then not much.
I've had this lens for years but not really used it, because I found it that the focusing I was doing didn't look focused enough when I got to the computer. No way to post process that problem away, and the out-of-focus parts look beautiful with this lens, but that's worth nothing if there isn't a part that's very crisply in focus.
When you start with something small, like this bud that was the size of a pea, you need a lot of focus to look focused in the final photo.
I remapped my focus button to the back of the camera where I can hold it down with my thumb.
I frequently use AF-C continuous focus mode.
I also frequently reduce the number of focus indicators to a single red square located in the middle of the viewfinder. That makes it very unambiguous what I want the subject to be.
When I'm doing all of the above, I can focus through blinds or vines and my subject is the only thing that's sharp.
I'm not a pro, very much a hobbyist, but I hope that helps.

Anyone?
I am Laslo.
Lovely! I first admired the geometry, and then the color.

All my photographer friends use Lightroom, but I've been using Corel products since last century, and enjoy AfterShot 3.
I'm jealous :) That's been my next lens for a little while now.

That looks remarkably like a chevron bead to me.
Wow, Brexit!
Bruh-bye, EU.
Seriously, though, I'm very surprised. Markets should be fun to watch today--it's just money, no big deal.
Awesome photography,
Nice mix of colors by the nature. What is it's name, any idea?

It's a bachelor button. Centaurea cyanus. Also called a cornflower. The national flower of Estonia.
