About those Steph Curry Under Armour shoes.

Everyone's making fun of them.

Shows you what terrible taste I have. I actually like those shoes.

Then again, I also wear shorts.

Shoes so good you don't even have to jump for a jump shot.

Shoes that will keep any defender at a safe distance.

Shoes made for bingo.

[Trigger warning] Shoes that would have kept Paul Sampleton Jr. alive.

“Should be titled the ‘Registered Nurse” Bound to become a best seller, then. Crafty marketing.

They kinda look like my sneakers, if the design was completely plain and I left them in a vat of bleach for a couple of weeks.

I'm way to cool to defend the sneakers, of course, but they do speak well of Steph: a plain-vanilla star without airs, a family man from an intact family, one who will not be called King or Black Mamba or Magic, by all appearances the most amazingly normal and most abnormally amazing superstar of the moment. But he'd better not wear those shoes tonight, unless he wants to create an excuse for his relatively poor play.

I'd buy a pair, just to protest the idiocy of snobbily sniffing at them.

Except I'm sure they cost more than I would pay for a pair of shoes, approximately $30-40.

Would that buy one shoe?

Wilbur: Would that buy one shoe?

It appears that they sell for $89.99 plus tax at Foot Locker. So, no, unless the quickly end up in the discount racks.

I bought a pair of UA athletic shoes on discount and they had the most comfortable soles, with a cushioning that did not diminish with extensive wear, as so many do. Would definitely buy another pair.

Those look like nothing so much as top-of-the-line all-white classic tennis shoes that players have been wearing since time immemorial (well, a little bit more hi-tech than we had in the 50s & 60s--and even into the early 70s--until the all-whites dress standards went by the boards...alas alack..)

Walked through Nordstrom shoes yesterday.

Shoes that the dollar store would be ashamed to sell priced at $495 and up.

Women and shoes = stupidity on stilts

Also a very stylish pair of high heel snow boots. Great if you are an Eskimo hooker.

$995

But by Jimmy choo!!

Try the UA Gemini 2 shoes, the absolutely crazy most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

Full disclosure - I'm an employee. But I can tell you that I tried a few pair of different UA shoes before I came across these gems. If I ever get word that we are discontinuing them, I plan to buy about 20 pair.

This color scheme is pretty old-school, but it's not the only color choice for this shoe model, and some of the others are pretty outlandish (i.e. the Surprise Party option on the high top version). Some people prefer to wear something that doesn't scream for attention, this should be appealing to them.

In general, I've liked the quality and comfort of UA's footwear, the harder thing is usually finding a pair with what I consider a sane or normal-looking color scheme.

Maybe it doesn't "gotta be the shoes."

Maybe LeBron will buy a pair.

[Side note: Dave Holmes LOST the MTV VJ contest to a huge weirdo dressed and sounded like a lunatic.]

They look like every pair of athletic shoes worn by the characters on The Sopranos.

Curry's White Shoes = Obama's Mom Jeans. Discuss.
