At the Wisconsin Supreme Court today, the new chief justice, Patience Roggensack, had to tell the old chief, Shirley Abrahamson, "You are out of order."

"You are out of order. ... I never did this to you when you operated as chief justice, to keep going back when you tried to move to an item on the agenda. You really need to give me the same courtesy, please."

Abrahamson — who is suing in federal court to get the position of chief justice back — answered: "But I never silenced anyone. I didn't call the question. I let everyone speak, but maybe that was not the right thing to do but that's what I did to everyone and I expect the same courtesy."

And then Roggensack said: "I run the meeting perhaps a little differently than you do."

I think it looked something like this:

Patience has little patience with the never ending Abrahamson tricks.

Leftism has no problem with order until they are in the minority.

Patience, patience in the court...

Or I shall have to put you all in a chokehold ;)

Surely, you must be joking!

Go ahead Patience. She needs some explaining. But then you could simply emulate Obama and tell her "I Won". Not necessarily the collegial thing to do, but at some point you have to ignore or silence a crying three year old (not that the old Chief Justice is chronologically three years old---we are simply talking about her emotional state).

I see the idiots are, as usual, out in force in the madison dot com comments section. Claiming that Abrahamson was re-elected as chief justice and that Prosser tried to choke Bradley...a claim that even Abrahamson didn't support.

Sounds like Shirley needs to have(readies sunglasses) a little Patience (dons sunglasses dramatically.

Gawd. Jockeying as if the whole point of the court is about the officials on it, the place in it of the officials on it, and so forth. It's as if the point of the court is to provide jobs for those on it and space for those with jobs on it to jab and gad about in pursuit of power and control. No LOL from me. Retch aloud is more akin to it.

The State of Wisconsin is only lucky this embarrasment is currently not getting any national media attention (other than Althouse).

Abrahamson is still around? Suing to get her job back? What a joke and a plague on the people of Wisconsin. This is raw power in play pursuing an agenda. If this sort of activity isn't a mental disease, it should be so classified. The left in Wisconsin is "off the 'res" as we say in the west. She needs serious help. Can a judge be recalled in Wisconsin?

Conservatives have turned Wisconsin into a national laughingstock at every level of government. The country used to look to us as an example.

There is a significant difference between "good example" and "bad example, garage.

No, lefties have turned Wisconsin into a national laughingstock by refusing to acknowledge that the citizens are sovereign. When the voters got sick of the lefties they put in power and decided to go a different direction the lefties decided it was their divine right to stay where they were. Everything bad has flowed from that attitude - the lost recall, the senators ducking their responsibilities and running off to Illinois, the in-fighting on the Supreme Court, the John Doe investigations, all of it. It's an attempt to thwart the will of the people and have your way whether you earned it or not.

One man's bug is another man's feature.

What you call a clusterfuck, trainwreck, incompetent, etc. is mostly you not getting what you want, when you want it.

Republicans removed Walker as Chair of WEDC. That's how badly it has been run. Of course handing out millions in loans to donors could be considered successfully run if you're Walker.

Such an evocative name, Patience Roggensack. I imagine an otherwise prim lady engaged in a rugby tackle.

So according to the article at the link "Within hours after the audit came out, Walker scrapped a proposed merger of WEDC with the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority." and then "Last Friday, after releasing documents to the State Journal about the loan to BCI, Walker called for eliminating the loan program altogether, citing the audit."

Walker found out there were problems with the program, stopped plans to expand it and then called for it to be eliminated. He claims to have not been involved with the initial loan nor involvement with how it was administered and there is nothing in the article to refute that.

The board is made up of Republicans and Democrats but because this program was started by Walker, any malfeasance is his fault? The article references another article that claims they found that "Walker’s top aides, including Huebsch, pressed for the state loan to BCI" but does not go so far as to say that Walker did.

If there was corruption, those involved should be prosecuted and should be held accountable. If Walker was involved and did anything unethical, he too should be prosecuted and held accountable.

So long article shorter is: Walker started a program to help businesses, it seems to not be working, and so he calls for it to be ended.

When has ANY Democrat done the same with a government program that turned out to not work and might have been abused?

Bicker, bicker, bicker. They are making the Wisconsin Supreme Court look very bad. It's not too flattering of women in the law either.

Conservatives wanted their turn in the sun in Wisconsin.

People like garage are still throwing temper tantrums over it happening.

And no, Wisconsin has not been looked at by the rest of the country as an example for a very long time, if it ever actually was.

"Conservatives wanted their turn in the sun in Wisconsin."

Well, technically, all parties want that. The difference is, in this case, the voters gave them their turn in the sun. And Garage and his types now want to take the ball and go home. The problem is they have a very difficult time understanding it's not their ball.
