"People are actually defending Shia LaBeouf. The world's gone mad. He's invented a supposed 'rape' for cheap PR — utterly shameful."
Tweets from Piers Morgan about LaBeouf's "#IAMSORRY" performance. I don't quite have the patience to read this condensed 2-week interview in Dazed and Confused, but I think it has something to do with his ripping off of a genuine artist, Daniel Clowes.

Well if Peirs Morgan says it, it must be true.
I always believe unemployed British TV personalities.
What do "Whoopi" and "Rosie" think, they're unusually wise.
Wait is this "rape, rape" or just "rape"? - cause if its the later I don't know if I care.
He didn't say no, so if only yes means yes, then he was raped.

I thought wearing a bag on the head was an understood admission of consent.
Is Shia braggin', or complainin'?
Please define genuine.
So wait, as a survivor isn't he supposed to be automatically "believed and supported," or did that change already?
Hollywood actors are among the dumbest people on earth. Conservatives should embrace them.
Maybe, instead of wearing a paper bag on his head, he should have dragged a mattress around the stage lot. (Shrug.)
garage mahal: "Hollywood actors are among the dumbest people on earth. Conservatives should embrace them."
You can always count on garage to offer up some serious self-refuting assertions.
Hollywood actors are among the dumbest people on earth, which is precisely why they embrace the left.
Again, this is what happens when he posts on his own.
I am going to combine Laslo Spatula, Full Moon and "garage mahal" and assume it is ok to rape Hollywood types if they have a bag over their heads. Thus, no casting couch problem. Meta!
A man's having an erection does not constitute consent.
Which leaves open the question of a woman having an erection.
Althouse: "Ann Althouse said...
A man's having an erection does not constitute consent."
And it sure the heck doesn't guarantee he'll call you in the morning.
I am not sure why I thought immediately of this being written by Hunter Thompson. It just seemed like the kind of theme that he could really take off on. Certainly would have been entertaining.

Why can't we say the woman has the RIGHT to have an erection Stan?
Is Erectionstan that little country south of Uzbekistan?
"Hollywood actors are among the dumbest people on earth."
Thus they all, almost to a woman or a man, politically are... where?
I thought Pope Francis had stopped this sort of thing, miracle or not.
rotting chum.
What's all this about flea erections?
That's free elections, Emily.
Oh. Never mind!
Shia LaBeouf is a guy?
garage mahal: why are actors liberal if they're so dumb?
In other news: crime goes down despite rise in incarceration rates.
Drago wrote...Why can't we say the woman has the RIGHT to have an erection Stan?
We can fight for her RIGHT to have an erection!
The Dazed and Confused link isn't working, it shows as: http://abridged version of our two-week dialogue. W
Jeremy Clarkson punched out Piers Morgan, twice.
Piers Morgan is a pussy.
"Ann Althouse said...

Maybe not at 25, but at sixty it sure does.
He didn't say no, so if only yes means yes, then he was raped.
Is it helpful to actual rape victims to make a joke out of the word "rape"?
This whole thing is idiotic. He decided to stay in his "art" by not taking off the bag, not saying anything, not doing anything. He was not in fear of injury or death, or was restrained in any way, he (assuming any of this is real) just didn't want to interrupt his performance. I'm sure anyone who actually has been raped is overjoyed at his assertion of being victimized like this.
Piers Morgan is an ass and Shia LaBeouf is a nutcase, an unashamed plagiarist and has had problems with the truth. Pox on both their houses.
