"Secretary Clinton has at every step of the way touted the significant achievements of his presidency, which she is honored to have been part of as his secretary of state."

"While they’ve had honest differences on some issues, including aspects of the wicked challenge Syria presents, she has explained those differences in her book and at many points since then. Some are now choosing to hype those differences but they do not eclipse their broad agreement on most issues. Like any two friends who have to deal with the public eye, she looks forward to hugging it out when ... they see each other tomorrow night."

"Wicked" challenge!

Does Secretary Clinton want voters to see her as the good Glinda, all sweetness and light, to President Obama's Elphaba, mixed raced, with a troubled past and a radical youth who grows up to become the Wicked Witch of the West?

Fabulous.

If Hillary kept her mouth shut she wouldn't step on her tongue. She keeps this up and the "rabid left" is going to abandon her again and I think they are primary voters.

Of course it will not break my heart to see her crash and burn.

We've already see this movie. Its old and stale. We don't need another 4 years of Clintonisms.

I give the Clinton's credit: no one but no one does chutzpah better than they do and with an unabashed shamelessness. I almost feel sorry for Obama. Hillary is blaming Obama for all of the bad results from his incompetent execution of her good intentions.
One has to be awed by her brazenness.

There's only one word people associate with "wicked": Hillary.

Here's a cold-ass Obama saying that Hillary is "likable enough" as she squirms and smiles like a schoolgirl during a presidential debate.

He could have made an amusing joke like Reagan's like about not taking advantage of Mondale's age.

But no.

SHE didn't say it, so she can (and will) deny it.

Unless the Democrat base has moved right, she's going to have a hard time getting the nomination by attacking Obama's foreign policy from the right.

Unless the electorate has lost its mind (it did 2 years ago), she's going to have a hard time winning the general election running on Obama's foreign policy successes (say what?).

From Wall Street Journal Online:

The U.S. is weighing a military mission in Iraq to rescue thousands of Yazidi refugees, a move that risks putting American forces in direct confrontation with Sunni fighters for the Islamic State.

The proposal is still under development and hasn't been approved by President Barack Obama. U.S. officials said the rescue mission is one of many options the U.S. military is weighing after dropping food and water to dying refugees over the past six days.

"People are looking at ways to do something more than just drop water and supplies," one senior U.S. official said. "You can only do that for so long."

Since last week, the U.S. has sought to halt the militants' advance on the Kurdish city of Erbil and to relieve Yazidis trapped by the fighters on a barren mountain range through a campaign of airstrikes and aid drops.

A rescue mission could expose U.S. forces to direct fire from the militant group Islamic State, also known as ISIS, and that is a risk Mr. Obama may not be willing to accept.

Some leaker is trying to force Obama's hand, it seems.

You know what the best part about this Obama/Clinton dustup is? It's all an intraparty Democratic conversation and the Republicans are just irrelevant bystanders. Which is how it should be. The grownups may bicker among themselves, but they are properly the ones in charge.

No one should be surprised when a Clinton acts like a Clinton. It'd be like getting mad that a scorpion acted like a scorpion.

They will throw absolutely anyone under the bus at every opportunity. If Obama's foreign policy were something to brag about, you bet she'd be owning it--she was Sec of State, after all--and it's almost hilarious if not outrageous that she's running away from her own record, as though she were a mere bystander to Obama's oafing around.

If Clinton fails--and I hope she does--it will be because no one can adequately answer the question of why she should be president. Her entire justification boils down to "first woman president" and "it's her turn!" There's absolutely nothing else to it, and the voters who will matter won't go for that.

The only way she wins is if she faces no real competition, which is a sad possibility.

MayBee said...

Of course, touting the significant achievements of his foreign policy doesn't take very much time.

Somefeller: " The grownups may bicker among themselves, but they are properly the ones in charge."

LOL

The entire world is now behaving in ways that demonstrate that no one believes "grownups" are in charge in DC.

But like a good little lefty, you just keep spouting the party line.

You don't get it somefeller.

What you say here in defense of obambi's "foreign policy genius" and "3-dimensional chess playing" (hey, remember when the lefties were all saying this? good times, good times....) is being run over by reality every single day.

But only every single day.

Don't worry though, with the hundreds of thousands of new uneducated 3rd world mentality illegal immigrants pouring in, how can the dems lose over the long term?

So, it's like the Republican issues in the House. Adults taling while the petulant whiners cry.

Talk about Republicans being irrelevant all you want --- you can't be less relevant than Nancy Pelosi.
