There are evil people out there. The link was a tough read. The comments didn't help.

Every year, pigs (presumably mothers protecting their young) kill 40 people in the U.S. and Canada.

That's six times the number of deaths worldwide that are caused by sharks.

This message is brought to you by the Shark Foundation.

Please remember to practice safe animal husbandry. Otherwise you might be makin' bacon.

Just when you think you heard the ultimate in depravity something even more depraved comes out.

Some people thrive on the feeding the darkest corners of the human mind. If there's a top 10 list of these stories where does the pig feast rank relative to The Human Centipede?

The Brad Pitt movie "Snatch" featured a mobster who fed his victims to pigs. It was a comedy.

Eleven hundred men went into the pig sty. Didn't see the first pig for about a half an hour. Porky. Thirteen footer. The pigs come cruisin'. So we formed ourselves into tight groups. You know it's... kinda like ol' squares in battle like a, you see on a calendar, like the battle of Waterloo. And the idea was, the pig comes to the nearest man and that man, he'd start poundin' and hollerin' and screamin' and sometimes the pig would go away. Sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that pig, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. You know the thing about a pig, he's got...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye.

My husband grew up in rural Nebraska, and said that every now and then a farmer would meet this sort of fate. They normally found part of the poor guy in the pig pen.

I read of a Chinese Empress who bested a rival. She had her rival blinded and made her live out her days in a pig sty. So there are worse things than being fed to the pigs. There's always something worse.

Sounds like the scene in "Hannibal."

Great Thanksgiving story, Ann!

There was a scene in The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy fell in the pig pen,* and the farmhands almost panicked trying to pull her out as quickly as possible. Today their haste seems peculiar if not downright silly. Not so when the movie came out in 1939, however. Many more people lived on farms, or were familiar with farm life, and knew that falling into a pig pen could be extremely dangerous.

* = yet her dress somehow remains spotless.

Most people know that mobsters are brutal and deadly, however, it may come as a surprise to those who are not familiar with them how brutal and deadly pigs are. They will eat you if they can. I never feel sorry about eating a ham sandwich.
