It takes first class blinders to condemn someone for their friendships in an article ostensibly about opposing an anti-democratic and un-American agenda.
And as in all fevered-minds of the left - the Dominionists show up.
Incoherent rant. Obviously preaching to a choir that will respond to certain buzzwords and insinuations without having to deal with any facts at all. Does someone pay this woman to write?
Did Ann choose this to show us what a sensible and articulate person she really is?
NJ politics: Corey Booker has been seriously stepping on the toes of the "liberal" Democratic machine in Newark for years. He is people's enemy no. 2, right behind Christy. I'm looking forward to voting him into the Senate this Fall, though I am kind of sorry his ambition is taking him out of Newark.
What is worse, vulture or cannibalistic capitalism? The Left's economic philosophy is of the latter class, while the Right's is of the former when there is a dearth of competing interests, and progresses to the latter with the establishment of monopolies, especially those enforced through authority.
They then continue with a specious condemnation of homophobia, while ignoring that the issue is dysfunctional behaviors, and whether they can be tolerated or should be rejected.
What's next? Will they talk about the evil large capacity soda and the inability of people to moderate their consumption?
Also, they would do well to distinguish between conservatives and libertarians. Their own "liberal" philosophy is unprincipled, their "progressive" philosophy is selective, the libertarian philosophy is insufficient to moderate a diversity of individuals' similar but conflicting appetites. The [American] conservative philosophy is just right.
I don't think they have much to worry about. Likely Booker's been trying to line his pocket like a good Dem. In the Senate he'll be a very reliable left winger, but he's learning the lingo so he doesn't sound like one.
MeCharlie2 has it right. This is New Jersey politics we're talking about here. Corey Booker is as decent and honest as it gets in New Jersey and he has been, relatively speaking, good for Newark.
Ha Ha. Her critique loses all credibility when she says "lying for the Lord" in all seriousness. Religious people are another species that requires careful observation.
I tend to think the "right" leaning suspicions about Booker won't end up with him being a stealth Republican once elected. He'll go full left, once in, and only a racist will ever call him on it. Welcome to the U.S. Senate Mr. Booker. Big money capitalists are all over the Obama camp.
If he gets knocked-off, who will replace him on the democrat lineup? If the left gets it's way will the democrat be a progressive and is NJ ready to elect a progressive to the senate? if not, then it might just be a pickup for the republicans.
Paranoia, fear and loathing are hallmarks of the left. Since Booker has no core beliefs, like Obama, his supporters and opponents can attribute any hopes and fears they want to him. Also the far left feels betrayed by Obama because he didn't fulfill their all statist dreams. So they are projecting their bitterness onto Booker. Julian and Joaquin Castro should take note as they are 2 more Obama wannabes with no accomplishments to offer.
I love how all things Booker are collapsed into one singular "disaster capitalism education 'reform' malevolence. It is the Manichean take on the Manchurian candidate.
"while running as a nominal Democrat, is and has been deeply entrenched with the vulture capitalists."
Is the writer trying to imply a contradiction there? Granted, I'm inferring - that's the problem with so many people using "while" when they mean "although." If she just means that these occurred at the same time, then I have no objection.

Wow. They are all over the map.

The state's gain is the city's loss.

Yeah, no so sure about the link to Crooks and Liars, lol --- especially since Susie Madrak is a terrible writer.

If only the Republicans were actually this smart.

Booker's real sin was in speaking ill of Our Lord Obama. Who wants to bet Organizing for America money isn't pouring into anti-Booker enterprises?
Some people think too much.
Booker is gay?
Crooks and Liars pretty much says it all to me.
Here righties are just saying, looks like a typically corrupt politican, and the lefties are saying, Mom! Dad! It's evil! Don't touch it!

Is that a complete sentence?
Here's Rush Holt, challeging Booker from the left.
