General Clark and "general indignities."

Accusations of "general indignities" are made against his wife by General Wesley Clark, who is seeking divorce and having an affair with a woman who was born 16 years after his marriage began, 46 years ago.

"Haughtiness" as grounds for divorce in Arkansas.

This human was once considered a credible person, even a possible POTUS.

Ironic choice of complaints for an out with the old, in with the new excuse. I hope she fights back.

Kinda liberal usage of the term "bombshell" to describe his honey by the NYPost there.

I bet his filing will go far. Nothing like seeing a really young socialite to show the courts how evil your wife is.

He should be divorcing his publicist.

Perhaps the very worst of the indignities perpetrated against General Clark is that his wife of 46 years got old, same as he did.

How rude of her.

Yup, she was totally betrayed. Better yet, she was utterly betrayed.

Lesson: Lie down with Depack Chopra and wake up with an Eastern religion experience that says do whatever you want to if it brings you peace. Then the lives of others is their problem. Rinse and repeat.

And we thought this man wasn't Presidential... JFK and LBJ would have welcomed him...

46 years of contumeliousness. Must be tough.

I would say the girlfriend has "daddy issues," except Clark is old enough to be her grandfather. One wonders where he got the wherewithal to date someone that young, even on a General's pension. It's not like he's a creepy movie star like James Woods or a creepy men's-mag magnate like Hugh Hefner. Oh wait; he's also a former Democrat politician and ex-presidential hopeful. Never mind. THAT explains it!

And they met at a Deepak Chopra convention? Classic!

Classy guy. Blame the lady.

"Legal experts said 'general indignities' is the [Arkansas] equivalent of the standard, blame-less 'irreconcilable differences' used in most states."

So it's a term of art, not chosen by him as a descriptor. Seems like an awful lot of judgy jugdiness here based on just that. Who knows how bad that marriage was.

Here one where you can easily reverse the sexes and have nothing to see here.

Wesley C. was credibly accused of war crimes for his part in the Balkan affair of the 1990's.
So, of course, Clark's run for the Democrat nomination for president in 2004 was endorsed by Michael Moore.

Not surprised. Clark's military career is littered with tossing people under the bus when no longer needed or desired.

Pure opportunist.

General Clark, meet General Indignities.

But it appears here that the indignities have been committed by, not against, General Clark. Shopping the meat markets for a trophy femme at the expense of the wife pretty much tops them all.

I think we should promote General Indignities to the rank of Marshal.

Peace is overrated.

Odd, no byline in that article, but it sounds like it was written by a woman or a reasonable facsimile thereof.

Remind me again what the age difference was between Bill Clinton and Monica and why the left exhorted the right to "Move On" from moral opprobrium and finger wagging? Is the left growing a new pair of morals?

What unfair -- and perhaps as unfair as women having 100% control of reproduction -- is that she, the 30 year old, didn't seem to see it that way: "He's in great shape." Objectively, does appear to be so.

Maybe she was intolerable and the hottie was an excuse to escape. Still the wrong thing to do. A bad marriage isn't always the husband's fault.

I didn't know they lived in Arkansas.

I've always thought Clark was a self-centered, self-promoting twit. I was never in the military, but I just can't see how this guy made it past company grade officer.

I thought we had no fault divorce nowadays. You don't have to prove what a pig he is, just file and be done with it.

Methinks his journeys outside the lines go back a long time. Maybe while on active duty.

Maybe by general indignities, he means the indignities he suffers from having a wife while trying to date his girlfriend. .

Just remembered this. General Shelton was the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

"Asked about Clark's candidacy last month, Gen. Shelton -- now retired -- told an audience, "I've known Wes for a long time. I will tell you the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart. I'm not going to say whether I'm a Republican or a Democrat. I'll just say Wes won't get my vote."

Ah yes, Wesley Clark, a key player in the USA's misguided decision to help Muslims by bombing Christians in the Balkans. Who nearly started WW3 in the process when he wanted to attack Russian soldiers controlling an airport. This man lacked decency in public life well before he was found short in his private life.

Was Gen. Patton a womanizer? If not, we need more generals like him-the kind of general that shouts of break glass in the event of war and not another wannabe politician in uniform, we have enough sleaze as it is in elected officials.
