I'd ust like to make it to 70 (25 more years to go!) which would put me ahead of my father, my grandfathers and my brother, none of whom made it to 65. (Lots of aunts and uncles have made it at least into their 80s, however.)

The right genes don't hurt.
that pic was taking forever to download...don't these photographers know how to reduce their files before they upload?? sheesh.
Great photos and a wonderful project.
Aw, sweet, may they enjoy every moment.
It's also possible to be an overweight disgusting lush at 60. As demonstrated by the bug eyed animal above.
Go liver cirrhosis, go!
So not living to 100 years old is a character flaw. Not genetics.
Check.
It's also possible to be dead at 20 in fine shape.
It's about as likely.
PMJ, for goodness sake, wipe the mold and slime off of you before entering a thread. The smell of your presence here is disgusting.

It's all good fortunate, minimal stress, and above all excellent genetics.
If I can make to 100 then that would be a win for me. My life line is pretty long and deep. That's what a psychic told me once when I was like 20.
My grandfather turned 100 last march. He actually was able to complete 6 holes of golf in April.
Wow, the couple has been married 88 years, and neither seems to have much gray hair.
My grandmother made it to 102. She was in "good shape" for all but the last year or so.
I'm less than half way there but I sometimes feel so old already.
What's the point in living to 80+ if you live a stress-free life that accomplishes nothing?
So you can be over 100 and in fine shape. But don't go getting all delusional about living to 120:

This is a fantastic delusion.
People go around casually thinking you can get to 120 and that the ceiling is going up and up.
You can't.
It's not.
