The Wrangler's a nifty little Jeep but you'll want more horsepower than that.

Thanks for using the portal. It's like adding a turbocharger to blogger's engine. Sure, there is back-pressure, heat soak of the intake air, and other inefficiencies.

But using the portal does not place a direct mechanical load on the blogger/professor. It is more efficient than supercharging because it uses the potential and kinetic energy of the blowhard commenters to drive the compressor.

If you convert the Jeep to run on CNG, get the horse manure into a digester, you have yourself a perpetual motion machine!

I enjoy reading what people buy, and it's a great hint as to the nature of the commentariat. It will provide a kind of time capsule for those in the future who wonder what the hillbillies were like before being wiped out by nuclear weapons in the civil war of 2016.

On a marketing note: It's good for sales, because I have already bought a few items myself just from seeing that someone else did in the listing here. I want to belong so bad, but first I have to get the proper accoutrements.

I have the most unattractive actual book library, nearly all nonfiction: manuals for this and that, textbooks in math, science, language and a bunch of nature and politics. Just awful stuff to see if I ever brought a liberal arts date home.

Lately, I have been reading only digital books. I think I'll get rid of my physical library. It's not sexy, and I can find anything of interest or need faster on-line.

Since I've been here long enough now to have several pieces of Boston in me, I'll point out that it's no accident that "torque" and "talk" are pronounced exactly the same.

Add a token copy of "Dreams From My Father" and you're golden.

Though why you would want to be is anyone's guess.

The purchases are indicative of such i-i-i-i-i-inter-esting people doing such i-i-i-i-i-inter-esting things and reading such i-i-i-i-i-inter-esting books all the time.

Like The Painted Word

Tom Wolfe. He reminds me, the Egyptian words are painted and they are little pictures. Their words are art and they are describing a scene, usually a religious motif or a sequence in one of their spells collected in their book of coming forth by day, their book of the dead. It is a collection of spells. The buyer says, "I always like that spell #6 and do make sure to paint #23-33," that sort of thing. That is why the copies vary so broadly and seem incomplete. So the words are pictures, art, and their illustrations depict what the words say and are labeled and contain elements of words and whole phrases. The artistic vignettes are phrases themselves, and the actual phrases describing them are art. Words are art, and art is words. They blend right in together and they are read together as an undifferentiated single unit. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Case in point, I bought the guitar picks because someone else did. I would have never known about them without this blog, but they were so inexpensive, I had to buy a pair of shoes to meet the minimum for the picks.

Northside Men's Palisades Soft-Shell Hiking Shoe,Black,11 M US

26 Bucks. ~ Probably made by a Vietnamese kid while still nursing on her mom's teat who was disassembling the hazardous material from old Iphones.

What a world.

Way to get a Bugs Bunny reference in there!!!

Madness.

Who'd pull a horse trailer with a Wrangler?

Printed books purchased always seem to outnumber ebooks, usually by a hefty margin. That seems odd to me.
