Hillary: "I do want to see more women compete for the highest positions in their countries."

"... and I will do what I can, whether or not it is up to me to make a decision on my own future. I right now am not inclined to do that, but I will do everything I can to make sure that women compete at the highest levels not only in the United States but around the world."

Assess the degree of bullshit.

She also believes 100% that her hands are clean on Benghazi, etc.

I just keep thinking that women can do better than Hillary.

But Obama and the feminists are rounding many of them up into a voting bloc which makes her out to be a saint.

She embodies too much of their ideology in practice and they make her a star.

Let's parse the BS:
"I do want to see more women compete for the highest positions in their countries." I agree. Easy to say "I want to see..." I want to see my paycheck go up, not down. I want my taxes to go down, not up. What "I want," or "I want to see..." has no bearing on the real world and is easy to say. As I used to tell my children when they were little and wanted something: "It's good to want things."

"... and I will do what I can..." pure BS.

"...whether or not it is up to me to make a decision on my own future." What?! You don't have control over the decisions affecting your future? BS!

"I right now am not inclined to do that, but I will do everything I can..." cough*BS*cough "...to make sure..." cough*BS*cough "...that women compete..." cough*BS*cough "...at the highest levels..." cough*BS*cough "...not only in the United States but around the world." Gahh! Choking to death here. Why can't the earth just rise up and swallow these sallow, shallow, petty and vindictive pols leaving nothing to mark their pathetic existance shy of a lingering oil stain and the stench of death? -CP

The media doesn't realize yet that they're getting played by their heroes.

Hint: They're not in it with you. They're not your friends and action figures.

They're politicians, act accordingly, even if they claim to hold shared views.

Marrying a politician and then riding and continuing to ride his coattails is a poor example of competing.

"Women of the world: my advice to you is to marry well. And if your husband humiliates you, stick with him. My dear friend and trusted adviser Huma almost left her husband after he tweeted a picture of his junk to his fans. She was pregnant at the time. I told her: 'Huma, I understand your humiliation. I do. But if you leave him, you are jeopardizing your future. And what difference, at this point, does it make?"

Weawee and truwee? Can we ask the female survivors of Benghazi hastened off never to be heard of again, impossible to interview, how well their careers are advancing? But this is coming from another one of those angry white men she habitually dismisses, so I dismiss her right back, although we do share altruistic misanthropies so have that in common at least.

I should probably go back there and vote, 100% of b.s., of course. Yes yes yes, fight fight fight, go go go, fight fight fight, yes yes yes. As a global-thinking Statesperson, all the fight fight fight enemies are to the immediate right. The tinier enemies beyond are insignificant. WHATZIT MATTER NOW? AND NOT SPOKEN OF, distant things are smaller, they're speedbumps and handled by toys.

“You can be partisan, you can have a strong sense of the rightness of your position, but democracy and certainly legislative bodies require compromise. And you can’t let compromise become a dirty word because then you veer toward fanaticism.”

“I mean, we were just talking about extremists who think it’s only their way, they are the ones who have the truth, none of the rest of us have any kind of claim on what is real in their views,” she continued. “And so it’s important in our democracies – like Australia, like the United States – that yes, be passionate, be intense about your feelings, but at the end of the day you’ve got to serve the people who sent you there, and that requires compromise.”

I can't blame Clinton too much for being disingenuous about her desire to move back into the Whit House. It's not "nice" to admit wanting to be President, even though those who run without craving it like cocaine are dismissed for lacking "fire in the belly."

And then she's got people still fanning the flames of her presidential ambition. It doesn't need much encouragement.

Lincoln once observed, “No man knows, when that Presidential grub gets to gnawing at him, just how deep in it will get until he has tried it." I'm guessing, no woman knows either.

rcommal said...

"Can't she just retire like a normal person?"

LOL. As if there aren't myriad examples of politicians of all stripes and types from both sides of the aisle who kept ... serving ... way past the so-called normal retirement time.

(By the way, what IS normal retirement time? And when, exactly, did the consensus come to be that "normal" people do and ought in fact retire? Especially at ever-early ages.

Serious question. And by that I mean I am seriously asking that question, even if I find my tongue seeking a cheek, while posing it. Because it's a serious question that needs to be asked and, far more important, needs to be answered, preferably seriously.

Is retirement, much less the latter 20th century conception/requirement of retirement, "normal" as in what a "normal" person does, did, and ought do? Is it? If so, why? Since when? How? Etc.

"Can't she just retire like a normal person?"

Normal. Interesting frame, in context[s], that deployment of "normal." Et tu, all?)

I don't think the machine that can calibrate the mendacity of the Clintons has yet been fabricated. Their lies have gone beyond self serving, even beyond mythology, into some intricate Kubla Khan vision with its own rules of gravity, energy, and light. It's simply not accurate to top them off at 100%. Quantum mechanics cannot be discussed in Newtonian terms. We need another unit of measurement.

Kubla Khan

OR, A VISION IN A DREAM. A FRAGMENT.

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round:
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover!
A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!
And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced:
Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher's flail:
And 'mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean:
And 'mid this tumult Kubla heard from far
Ancestral voices prophesying war!

The shadow of the dome of pleasure
Floated midway on the waves;
Where was heard the mingled measure
From the fountain and the caves.

It was a miracle of rare device,
A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice!

A damsel with a dulcimer
In a vision once I saw:
It was an Abyssinian maid,
And on her dulcimer she played,
Singing of Mount Abora.
Could I revive within me
Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight 'twould win me,

That with music loud and long,
I would build that dome in air,
That sunny dome! those caves of ice!
And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware! Beware!
His flashing eyes, his floating hair!
Weave a circle round him thrice,
And close your eyes with holy dread,
For he on honey-dew hath fed,
And drunk the milk of Paradise.

Just for the record, I don't give a shit either way whether Hillary Clinton runs for president. If there's nothing else that people ought to have learned after all these yea so many years, it's that the people who are gonna run are those who wanna, and who wanna enough to spend enough time & etc. to build both a financial base and a get-out-the-[primary/caucus]vote one. That's the "it." I do care about that, for various reasons, if not obsessively nor blindly.

How much Bullshit was there when she blamed the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" when she knew her husband was boffing that woman, Monica Lewinsky? Did she care about how men treated women then?

How much Bullshit was there when she tried to make Monica into a stalker, until the semen stain could not be refuted?

That may not be good enough, perhaps this will convince you of her sincerity.

For those that need more, you can see the REAL Hillary here.

That's not without its humorous side.
She would be president and travel round the planet lecturing peoples on not to be so damn bigoted.
.Times are grim, and peoples might want to have a good laugh now and then.
Come to think of it that is exactly what she is doing now.
So as president she would concentrate on the home crowd some more.
There is even a certain magnificence in being so splendidly selt-satisfied and self-righteous.
And I don't think it is BS. She probably believes what she is saying.

(The plural of the seems weird. Perhaps I got it wrong.)

Known Unknown said...

You know, I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt in 2008, had she won. I thought she would have been more economically capable than Obama has turned out to be. In a way, more a realist about how the economy works, and not such an ideologue sputtering about "you didn't build that." Even though she is liberal, I thought the best practices of her husband would have rubbed off on her, and produced a more pragmatic leader.

However, after her performance at State — and her latest lamentations that Republicans are basically equal to extremist Islamic terrorists  — that benefit is quickly eroding.
