Prof. Jacobson is refraining from tokenism.

1. "I would never be so insulting as to accuse the NY Times of tokenism."

2. "I would never be so insulting as to accuse the U. Penn Political Science Department of tokenism."

3. [To be continued?]

Be fair now. Any number of those people could be 1/32 Cherokee.

Liberals: "Do as I say, not as I do."

Just another day in Barack Obama's America.

It's wonderful to live in a monochromatic bubble. The lack of diversity of their skin tone certainly mirrors their lack of diversity of thought.

No one can accuse these guys of racial tokenism

What's with all the purple books at U. Penn Political Science Dept.?

I always maintained law libraries are really cigar boxes filled with paraphernalia, unmentionables and toys for naughty teims. Being lawyers. Duplicitous and all. I never checked my theory for I am far to circumspect with other people's property, except for that one time I switched shirts without telling, but that was only because they were the same and mine was uncomfortable and that one looked great and turned out it felt great too so I took it, and now looking back I do regret doing that. Sorry. But in my defense there were a million such shirts and I was pretty sure the guy would not ever notice.

Anyway, do political science people have their own poly sic library like law people do? Their books are thinner.

That the NYT could say a Senator is there as a "token" and the NAACP didn't even a mild rebuke is proof that Republicans should never, EVER speak to that group. Also, blockade any interview with the NYT or any entity they are associated with.

Or the Obama re-election campaign staff.

The token was the incumbent.

Or incompetent, as you prefer.

So, the powers that be allow Tim Scott to retain his blackness - even though only as a token - despite his apostasy? That's mighty white of them.

Watch what we do, not what we say.

The northern community that trashes the south as racists is the actual last bastion for racism.

Tim Scott is accepted as a man in a State that has forgotten racism. What is wrong with that.

It doesn't jive with the narrative of the Liberals, then until another contrast that makes them feel superior is dreamed up, that is their narrative and they are sticking to it.

Even in 1963, I had enough sense to major in history rather than political science.

I recall, as a son of NC whose elementary school years coincided with riots there over school desegregation, that the riots in Boston over school integregation were worse than ours. A lot worse.

I recall that whenever anyone tells me the South is racist, with the implication that somewhere else isn't.

I saw more racism in Chicago, just visiting for the Thanksgiving holidays than I ever saw in the South, anyplace in the South.

We should have diversity requirements at birth. Those who do not qualify will be summarily executed... I mean aborted.

It's the only way to avoid racial/ethnic/gender/incidental flavor of the day disparities.

In fact, we can follow the Chinese model. Boys rule! Despite what the feminists would have us believe.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a (very) slippery slope going FORWARD. (?)

Do you think we'll ever have another black President.

If so, how many cycles out. Will they be Dem or Repub. Male or female.

Did Obama open the door for the rest, or just himself. Do you think he even cares.

Questions with no question marks. Avant-Garde

Cheers
