A Farmers Market day...
No protesters around the Hans Christian Heg statue. The sun is shining on the strings of peppers, and everyone seems pretty happy.
Around on the State Street side of the Square, there was protest activity...
... of a tired, embarrassing kind.

Aren't those red chiles and the word you want is ristra?
Beautiful chiles!
Can't say that I've ever seen an anti-evolution/Truther rally.
We're doing an outside movie tonight with the kids. I have a hi-definition projector we blast against the entire side of the house. It looks pretty bad-ass if you're driving by.
The sun is shining on the strings of peppers, and everyone seems pretty happy.
A couple of those peppers look exactly like an image of Mohammad being fucked by a pig, and enjoying it.
Let the riots begin!
Sorry, but after the past week, we need ordinary photos like these of life simply being being lived.
Thank you.
There comes a time to cut off the ponytail, ditch the tie-dyeds, and grow up.
Some people never quite get the message.
Garage. Great idea! Good on you!!

Heh! Where do these people get the energy to endless want to engage in done/tired debate. Come Saturday, I'm toast.
I must be doing something wrong.
@Michael
You'd be surprised how good it looks against the siding. I can get a 10'x 12' picture, in full 1080i.
garage, when you describe projecting something onto your house, all I can think of is this...
Palladian,
Thanks, I guess?
It's a metaphorical fire!
Anyway, it's the projections on the house that I'm talking about!
Palladian is complimenting you garage.. take my word for it.
It's kinda nice, here in Grand Rapids - a wonderful farmers market blessedly lacking stupid political protest.
While thankfully nonviolent, I don't think our protesters are any more grounded in reality than the ones in the middle east. In both cases the grievance is manufactured to hide the real one, which is based on envy and hate.
A lot of protests in our country seem to be just hobbies, like stamp collecting or model trains.
Today was a fabulous Fall day.
@garage, in my neighborhood, they were showing the BADger game in the park. Not sure if that qualifies as good entertainment, however.
I'm glad the Badgers won, but I always feel sorry for the kicker when he misses a potential game-winner. Poor guy.
I took one of my dogs down to Camp Randall for the pre-game festivities. The dogs always get a lot of attention from students who miss their pets at home.
Today he even scored an entire bratwurst that had fallen off one of the grills in that little triangular park area by Mickie's Dairy Bar.
So a good day for the old beagle.

Just curious, what exactly do you think the protesters in the picture are envious of and/or hating? Seems to me that they aren't doing anything different than you are...simply sharing an opinion with the public.

But as you know, or should know, not all opinions deserve equal weight. In fact with some it is our duty to point out the rediculousness of some opinions and the people who espouse them.
9/11 building 7 conspiracy? Really?
Stupid twat.
Rusty - and that would be your opinion.

Not really. I have physics and facts on my side.
What you got?
