You could have been a YouTube star.

I see this 3-year-old girl is an international celebrity for climbing up the inside of a door frame... just like my son Chris used to do:

Beautiful kid. Is that Chris?

Don't take this wrong, but I think this is more about a pretty and precocious little girl with her cute English accent than it is about door climbing.

Timing may not be everything, but it helps.

My parents always scolded me when I climbed around on stuff. :(

Then again, given that one of my targets wasn't any of the doorframes, but rather the outside aerial TV antenna, I have to admit as an adult that they were doing the right thing. :D

He looks like he could have been competing on NBC's American Ninja Warrior.

I remember you posting this photo of Chris a couple of years back. It is actually quite difficult to climb up door frames or anything like a door frame, say, like the parallel walls seen in Ninja Warrior. Anyways, Thanks.

At least you didn't have to worry about your son's stardom (and doorway climbing skills) going to waste in a future morass of drugs, sex and booze.

Climbing door frames and then on to the pinnacles of adult life! Boys are a joy, but I'm glad I had three girls first.

This may be the missing link.

Ha! My kids used to do that, too. Brings back memories. Thanks.

my son had monkey in him and would climb trees in our yard to the very top. A nice oldwer woman who lived across the street would have to avert her eyes it made her so nervous.

Some of us are just have bad timing (well, I don't really believe that, it's just there are a few things I know I'd liked to have hung my hat on, if I could have been there...).

But Ann, she's a girrrrrrl. These things aren't meaningful when boys do them, only when girls do them!

I climbed on pretty much everything that would hold still when I was a young boy. I think I spent half my summers up in trees.

I used to do the same thing. I was a powerful feeling.

Not only did my brothers and I do that, we "climbed" down the hallway. We also built bombs in the basement--so ha! to that girl.

Video killed the Polaroid star.

I did that too. 47 years ago. I got yelled at for it, not turned into a star.

I did that as a kid, didn't you? The only kid I know who didn't instinctively climb a doorway, hallway or anything available was one of my grandsons, I had to teach him how. Now at age 75 I can't do it anymore and wish I could.

He was born too soon.

I did that sort of thing, climbing the narrow hallway to the bedrooms in my childhood home when I was 4 or 5 years old, in the first few years of the 1960's.

I also leapt down all 12 stairs to our basement and landed safely.

And in the woods behind my home I climbed trees so tall they touched the sky, and hopped from boulder to boulder in Appalachian mountain river valleys while the cold fast white water roared foaming below me, and caught fireflies to put in jars (released alive later) and slept under starry skies in a hammock outside on a warm summer night.

And all that is still within me, and is still me, and will still be in me and will still be me on the last day I draw breath and am me no more.
