"If I could turn back time, I would have not chosen Gloria Allred as my lawyer."

Regret about choice of lawyer expressed in Cher lyrics.

Via Instapundit, who notes that the client Debrahlee Lorenzana learned what was always mind-crushingly obvious, that Gloria Allred is in it to get attention for herself.

But then, so was Lorenzano. It takes one to know one is not always true. Look at the photo at the first link. Was Lorenzano fired because of her looks or because she declined to dress in a manner appropriate to the business in which she was employed?

Unless she wears a nuns habit its pretty hard to cover her figure.

I don't think she could hide her assets. I can't imagine firing her for that. I suspect the work of bitter females in the workplace demanding it, and ruining a happy work environment for everyone else. You can't be that hot working around other women. You just can't. It's a law or something.

What is needed is a jacket. What she's doing in that picture is cinching her clothing at the waist.

It's not a matter of completely hiding the existence of big breasts. It's a matter of being subtle and not drawing attention to them. Every reasonably intelligent woman knows this.

I always thought Allred was a virtuous crusader for everything right and good.

The photos at the time showed her with attire a lot more revealing than this.
This is what she wore to court.

There is more too it than just her breast size. Lot's of women have big breasts than men hardly notice or at least wish they hadn't. She would be despised in the workplace if she was a B-cup. She could be incredibly funny and friendly, and still other women would wish her gone. In fact that would make it worse. If she was incredibly stupid and incompetent, she might have a chance.

Looks like Ms. Lorenzano watched a few too many episodes of Mad Men.

Life is so unfair. Would a man suffer this kind of discrimination from male co-workers envious of his extremely large penis if he wore a mankini to work? I think not.

Proof of Walker's war on women.

Gloria Allred spelled backwards is Derlla Airolg.

If we can get her to say it, maybe she'll disappear.

If her case lacked merit to begin with, resolving it quickly was in the client's best interests. The only thing in her favor might have been the publicity, which would explain the need to act while there was still publicity.

Hiring a celebrity lawyer doesn't create a magical pathway through the law. It doesn't open special doors. If the arbitration clause was binding, then no amount of lawyering by Allred could get around it.

You know what can solve this "assets" issue - parthenogenesis. It's the Gloria Allred way.

Gloria Allred should only represent herself in court when she's sued for this. That way she could work with both her favorite attorney and her favorite client.

Twenty years ago, when I was a journalist, I was assigned an article on Hollywood celebrities and their pet political causes.

These were the days of actresses testifying in front of camera-loving congressmen about alar in apples; and power players like David Geffen and Richard Dreyfus hiring personal political consultants.

Needless to say, everyone I spoke with stood on the left, and several of them suggested I talk to Allred. So I finally called her office. “Ms. Allred, please,” I said to the receptionist.

“I’m sorry,” she said, “but she’s in a meeting.”

“All right,” I said, “please tell her that Joel Engel from the New York Times called.”

“Hold please.”

One thousand one, one thousand two... “Hi, this is Gloria," she said cheerily. "How are you?”

On occasion, I have been surprised, when encountering co-workers in a non office setting, to discover that they have voluptuous figures. Women really know how to adjust the volume.

The high top says "These are out of bounds," but the cinching says, "aren't these babies perfect?" So cool, the guys don't need to go to the strip club to get all jacked up. Just a bit of time with that woman will do.

I wonder what message women get. Probably pissed off she sucks up all the attention. I'll bet they hate her for it, like bagoh20 says.

I wonder if a man or a woman fired her. If a woman fired her, is it still sexual discrimination?

More like 'birds of a feather flock together' in this case.

She is not good at picking lawyers.

She had dumped her previous lawyer when she found out about a sexual harassment suit against him. He was accused of of watching porn at his desk, wearing a slave collar to work, displaying a picture of his “dominatrix” girlfriend as his office screensaver, and talking at work about his affinity for “spanking.”

She was also fired by a second bank after Citibank.

A lot of women just don't know how to dress. My sister attended her daughters college graduation recently and had some withering comments on the "tarty" dress style affected by the majority of the young women.

I think, if you have the kind of figure this woman has, the outfit in that photo is just her dressing like a woman. There is an interesting attitude, apparently, about not revealing a fabulous figure in the workplace. Cover it up!!

No cleavage showing. Skirt is (I'm guessing) not too short. I don't see the problem.

This case makes me think about a woman I worked with about 13 - 14 years ago who was a very good engineer and with great team leaderships skills. She was clearly headed for bigger and better opportunities.

Except for her self-sabotage.

On casual Fridays she dressed like someone who worked at the sleaziest brothel in town.

Tough to get promoted when you don't grasp the meaning of "dressing professionally." Tough even to get taken seriously as an engineer.

Her yellow top definitely emphasizes her gravity-defiant boobs.

So... not real, right?

I agree with Darcy. That's a long way from being tarted up.

If more bank employees looked like that, Obama could stop worrying about ATMs replacing them.

That woman is hawt!!! Period. Having that midget, blood-sucking parasite defend your hotness should be an affront to all mankind. Furthermore, I'm waiting for the diminutive harpy to die in a fire.
