One hopes that the place has deer fencing of some kind. If not, the garden will be munched near the ground by morning. Then the deer will be all there is left to eat.
Thank you, Althouse, for not joining Pajamas Media way back when. They are so loaded up with ads today that only 1/3 of the screen was available for text. Thank goodness Insty reads them now so I don't have to.
I had a lib throw the "new and improved" study showing Fox news viewers know less than people who don't watch news.
The results: "However, the study concludes that media sources have a significant impact on the number of questions that people were able to answer correctly. The largest effect is that of Fox News: all else being equal, someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer just 1.04 domestic questions correctly — a figure which is significantly worse than if they had reported watching no media at all. On the other hand, if they listened only to NPR, they would be expected to answer 1.51 questions correctly; viewers of Sunday morning talk shows fare similarly well. And people watching only The Daily Show with Jon Stewart could answer about 1.42 questions correctly."
But, the study has a 3% margin or error. Someone please 'splain the impact of the MOE on these results, my limited stats knowledge + common sense is telling me there's no difference. thanks.
The photo was taken at Olbrich Gardens here in Madison, which is completely enclosed and I don't think any deer could get in.
It's not planted by Meade, though we do have some lettuce growing in planters. That's much more lettuce than we'd eat.
But I like how pretty it looks. Not all vegetables look pretty in the garden, so it's nice to see how you can achieve an aesthetically pleasing effect.

I've avoided various associations. At this point, I'm really into being independent. I'm glad I didn't get tempted away. It's not just a matter of how the site looks, it's the problem of other people's speech affecting how I am perceived. I don't want that.
I'm really not part of the conservative commentary agenda. I appreciate links from these people, but I'm not like them and I don't want my speech to be in a context that affects interpretation.
Now, if they paid enough... I might be tempted. But of course they don't.

Dare we assume that's Meade's work?
If so, it explains much of his sweetie's healthful glow.
Zone 3 to 4 is jealous.

That's wonderful!
Looks fantastic!
You can eat all you like? Do not tell that to Bill Wisth.
I see a really good spot for a raspberry vinaigrette spill...
Harvard University alumni book gets UPdated UPsetting some people.
Add a few radishes, chives and maybe some nasturtiums...
That is beautiful.
Gorgeous planting of salad greens. What are all those? And yes, I'll try and steal the idea but doubt I'll be as successful.
