Obama/Biden defeats Santorum/Gingrich in every state in the Union.

It is for the GOP. Go home and get ready for 2016.

Maybe they are still busy protesting.

That's a very nice dome indeed.

Photobucket said the Bottle Lady anim violates their terms but the take down message does not mention where I went wrong. Thus the iron hand of censorship has smitten me and caused me to upload it to my own dadgum site. Then, if these guys I pay for take it down then I'll upload it to a pervy British site.

That is not pretty. I do not like it. Also, I think it's bad art and not at all thought thru.

OTOH, WDIK? NM, WTF. Let it go. It's all good.

(And that, as they say,is that.)

My sympathies. Expect about 3 days of sick, another 2 just getting back on your feet, and a long spell of after effects.

Her generation paid a horrible price. More British, French, and Italian soldirs died in her war than in WWII. We don't feel it because our guys were in action only about 4 months.

For many of the nations in Europe, the Empire and the Commonwealth, they were the Greatest Generation.

Oh, it's the flu alright. And it sucks.

I had mine last week. Injured coworker left me working doubletime.

Carnifex said...

My granddaughter got the flu too. Throwin' up like a mamma minah bird with a full nest. Not a pretty smell. As the bard said, "smells like teen spirit" (I don't think he actually sez that though. I think he sez "gargle, gargle, garble, gaaarrgllle)

My God I get snarky when I don't get to sleep.

As for the people watching "Morning Joe", wow. You can't stub your toe, or spill you coffee on your lap this morning? It'd be less painfull.

Anyway, der Mittens sez, "Boom goes the dynamite!" Just gonna have to open dat fat wallet a little more.(how much Obama got again?)

Anyway, the elites are happy. You can't fool all the people all the time, but in an election you can fool enough of the people enough of the time.('course that's what BO is countin' on too)

And BO's base is more gullible. After all they believe in free healthcare, that Warren Buffet WANTS to pay more taxes but the government wont let him, and that BO is the smartest president ever.(unless you count WJC, who was the smartest president ever) Or HRC, who is smarter than Deep Blue, and all the dolphins in the world...combined!

Why HRC, as SEC of Statism, has by sheer will alone, made Iran stop fomenting trouble in Iraq by getting them to focus on the real problem...Israel.

And the way she whipped those hating Copts in Egypt, by raisng an army of peaceloving muslim jihadis to kill... I mean put them in their place. I was reminded of a young Bobby Fischer, playing tic-tac-toe, with Norbert, the tic-tac-toe playing chicken, at last years state fair.(i'da beat that chicken too, 'ceptin' he always got to go first)

And for anyone who wants to skip the blog to the news:

http://www.journaltimes.com/article_bc9ad83c-5123-11e1-8138-001871e3ce6c.html

"Dennis Sargent, of Racine, who is listed on a petition circulated by Mark Demet, said he didn’t sign when contacted by The Journal Times."

Millions of signatures!

OK, we have this guy who claims to have collected signatures against Wanggaard - and whom we’ve never even heard of, or at least can’t remember having ever met - and the petitions in question include the names of all the members of his family, apparently fraudulently.

Then, his brother just happens to report these petitions as fraudulent to one of his best friends, who just happens to publish a blog that’s always opposed the recalls in the first place.

Doesn’t that strike you as the least bit odd?

Indeed. Such fail.

Yah, I'm on day four. Chills, muscle fatigue, been coughing so hard my chest hurts. Spent most of day 2 & 3 sleeping.

Take care of yourself. Don't push it.

Matt Sablan said...

It doesn't strike me odd at all that someone, being used in a fraud and not liking it, reports on it.

You need to do more than say: "That looks strange! We tried to prevent this, so it is a set-up."

Prove it is a set up.

"He's always a nice boy" is not a defense to a crime.

Apparently Google broke Blogspot AGAIN. So how the hell do I view >200 comments now? I presume other people have figured this out but I'm missing something.

Also... why did he also get real signatures?

Or is he just that crafty!

@Palladian

Check the symptom list for influenza. If they fit, go get some Tamiflu from your doc. Note that stomach upset, vomiting, diarrhea are rare symptoms of influenza in adults. If you have these, then it is probably not flu but some other bug.

Patrick said...

Sofa King,

That issue popped up a few weeks ago. To see comments past 200, either comment on the thread, or, on the main page, click on the thread part (The title of the blog post) and you will be able to see the comments.

I have no idea what Google did to create that situation, and no idea how it helps anything. Sometimes people just cannot leave well enough alone.

Matt Sablan said...

Also:

"Jason Adams of Racine contacted Caledonia Patch last week and said he found his name on a petition to recall Sen. Van Wanggaard, though he never signed one. He believes his neighbor Mark DeMet forged his signature — and suspects that neighbor may have forged signatures of other neighbors and family members. TMJ4 found members of DeMet's family claim the same thing. DeMet wasn't home when TMJ4 went to his house.

Adams told Patch he doesn't understand why his neighbor would have done this.

"I had a nice conversation with (Mark DeMet) this summer about Walker," Adams said. "I told him what I thought, which was the opposite of what he thought. There was no anger there.""

http://caledonia.patch.com/articles/man-says-his-name-forged-on-recall-petition

So, not only did he plan this set up, he also preemptively lied to people whose signature he would forge, so they thought he was pro-recall!

Devious!

@Sofa King:

The only thing that has worked for me is to go ahead and make a comment in the "full" 200-comment page. When you submit it, you are put in the 200+ page where your comment is.

And if you clear out your history after closing the window or tab, you'll have to repeat the process :(

Fen said...

To see comments past 200, either comment on the thread, or -

As a regular who's been here since Valenti started posing for Clinton, I find that very few threads are worth the trouble after 200 comments.

"Check the symptom list for influenza."

Oh shit. Isn't influenza making a comeback as a super-resistant bug?

@Patrick:
Thank you, it had not occurred to me to click on the title of the post, but that works just fine.

@Fen

This is a relatively mild season for influenza.

garage mahal said...

Devious!

I would call it stupid. Protip: If you plan to submit fraudulent signatures, do NOT circulate the petition yourself!

Fen said...

oh nevermind, I was thinking of the Dutch strain some idiot decided to create in his lab:

"The virus is a strain of avian influenza H5N1 genetically modified to be extremely contagious."

Fen's Apoca-watch
1) economic meltdown and total anarchy
2) convert of die (Islam)
3) stupid Dutch people

Add as you want then predict. Winner gets 2400sqft underground silo, zombie-killer kits for a dozen of your friends, and the Fox Anchor Babe of your choice as your silo "companion".

Fen said...

Thanks Triangle!

Matt Sablan said...

I agree; it seems pretty stupid to hope that your fraud signatures make it through the first round of vetting, but get stopped at the second (and do not make it through that one too!), so that you can potentially discredit the recall movement -- and potentially pay a fine and go to jail, while also having to accept you'll never be employed again because you are so untrustworthy you literally sold out your own mother!

Yet, you are contending that this guy -is- that stupid.

As opposed to the more simple solution. He hates the senator, wants him recalled, and was willing to take a gamble when he heard that the signatures may not be put under extreme scrutiny, a decision that didn't change until when? The date is 12/27 on his forms, so he possibly forged them early and then later the board was forced to more aggressively review and efforts like verify the recall or whatever came about, and he got caught.

Or, he's a devious genius buffoon idiot. You know. Whichever.
