There's the Farmers' Market, along with a few protesters, including the hunger striker:

You're like John T Chance strolling through Presidio.
The bad guys have learned to stay away.
If that weather is as nice as it looks, please send it our way.
Is hunger striker below 225 lbs yet?
Why is "Be the change" written backwards on the sign?
What are they protesting? The shocking meat video?

For the same reason someone who has been on a hunger strike for 108 days isn't full of maggots.
BTW, I "love" how he asks passersby to "do" what they can for his project. If asked I'd tell him I've already "done" it.
What's up with the hunger striker? What does he hope to accomplish? And do you think he's cheating?
The hunger striker wants baby wipes, tea herbs, and donations.
I am beginning to think the major industry in Madison is the protest industry. What they don't get in revenue, they make up in volume.
I love the Hunger Striker Dude. My kids loved him too. He did not do much. Just sleep. They pointed at him while I photographed him.

Is the Hunger Striker dude cheating?
Let me put it this way, he weighed over 250 lbs in August (probably closer to 300). And he said he was on Day 62. Unless he started north of 500 lbs, what do you think?
Can't even buy a pumpkin in Madison without some political type ramming his opinion in your face.
I bought bread from Cress Springs Bakery, and also peaches from Door County. It seems awfully late for peaches to me, but there they were. But the Grape Juice people left their grape juice at home. Nuts.
IMO strollers are a bigger nuisance at the Farmers' Market than protesters.
Hunger striker is the biggest loser, regardless of his net weight change.
I find it hard to accept that folks are dressed like that. Then again it was 44 degrees during the Brewers game not more than an hour ago. In my neck of the woods the meteorologists are talking about a cold front that might (could!) bring overnight lows into the high 60's! Covah up yo' suculent vegetayshun, evarbody!

Plane over Camp Randall with "Recall Walker" banner trailing. Hah. Gotta love free speech.
The hunger striker must be striking on a part-time basis, or he'd look like a Kenyan marathon runner by now.
The hunger striker in Madison was my favorite attraction after these:
1) House on the Rock;
2) Taliesin;
3) Wisconsin State Capitol;
4) Wisconsin Dells;
5) 12 year old cheddar ;
6) Fat Squirrel and Spotted Cow beer;
7) Fresh pan fried walleyed;
8) Squeeky cheese curds;
9) Fat Madison hungerstriker.
This item should be titled:
Ann takes her 10.5mm fisheye lens for a walk around Madison.
Nice shots, nice lens. Have you had this lens very long? It looks like you've been working with it for a while. It's not easy taking fisheye shots that don't look goofy, and yours look very nicely composed.
The fisheye works great in the rotunda. It is a beautiful capitol.

And naked adolescent girls to cuddle with. Very Ghandi.

The donations are no surprise, but baby wipes????
In public????
Ewwwwwwwww!!!!!
WV "phantra" What many would have if they saw the hunger striker using the baby wipes.
Are the columns and pilasters real malachite or painted?
All the color makes the US Capitol rotunda look boring.
It's real marble.
The inlaid rock at the Wisconsin state capitol is just awesome. Ann, it is from various rock across the state, isn't it? Perhaps it is imported. It is just beautiful.
Quastor, you answered my question without providing any real information. Have you considered a career in politics?

A lot of it is from in-state. The red granite, for example, is from Redgranite, WI.
