"I believe that she will run... I can’t see her sitting this election out... She is going to make a major, major speech."

The buzz about Sarah.

Do you want Sarah Palin to run?
Yes, because I want her to win.
Yes, because it will make the Republican field more interesting and better generally.
Yes, because I want to see the Republicans hurt.
No, because she will hurt the Republican cause.
No, because she will help the Republican cause.
No, because she would not make a good President.

"I hear that a lot, but when pressed to answer how Obama is destroying the country they can never really answer."

You act like you just got here 5 minutes ago, you are disingenuous to the core.

I hear that a lot, but when pressed to answer how Obama is destroying the country they can never really answer. It's the same people that have been trashing the economy since Day 1, at a time when it really didn't need it.

I thought killing muslims and making deals with the GOP would get some support from the Right

Yeah things are going “Spiffy”, in one of the WORST RECOVERIES in Modern US history! 9% unemployment, 20-plus% unemployment/under-employment, 40% Inner City unemployment. Projected debt to GDP ration 90%-rising to 120%. Productivity stalled. Electricity costs set to skyrocket…gasoline prices inflated….So IF the “they” you talked to can’t quote you this, the “They” you are talking to are garden gnomes.

Tell me what deals did “I won” make with the GOP? Porkulus, ObamaCare? Anything?

You need to tell lies small enough you’ll believe them…

Re: number of Repub candidates, I say the more the merrier at this point. I don't see the need to cut off entry because Perry's in; if he's that good he'll rise to the top.

I like Sarah but I think she needs some seasoning. She's written some good stuff on her Facebook page; well-thought and reasoned pieces on important policy topics. She needs to do more of that.

I'm also a little skeptical of her endurance at this point. She resigned early from her gubernatorial post; not good in my view. I would've felt better if she fulfilled her term. I absolutely would concede that she may have had good reasons for running out of gas. Being a VEEP candidate and having a baby with Downs Syndrome are a couple of unbelievably stressful life events. That must've been very, very tough but publically she bore up well.

But, I'm not sure yet if she can run a tough campaign and then be prepared to govern for 4-8 years. She needs to prove to me that she's ready for that. Being President does mean family comes second. Just read the autobiographies of Reagan's kids.

She's got time. I also don't think running and losing now is a death knell for her career. However, I'm not sure how she'd survive if she didn't run for another elective office. If she doesn't run now, or runs and loses, she needs to run for, and win, another office in order to justify another presidential run. Seems like guv is out for her; a Senate run may be more likely?

When Repubs said they would shut the government down, Obama caves on extending Bush tax cuts. Same with the debt ceiling "debate". I don't care much for his leadership, but there is literally nothing the GOP would do to help the economy before 2012. They won't even extend the payroll tax cut because it would help just a little. And they call themselves "patriots".

Yeah, we should have granted Obama the right to continue on a path to exceed Debt:GDP ratio to 120% GDP…great idea. Oh and the “Bush” Tax cuts, passed BY Democratic Congress, IIRC…

And there you go questioning my patriotism! HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MY PATRIOTISM! YOU FASCIST! Remember Garage, since Giffords, we have a New Civility.

Repubs control the House, spending has to start there. But check out the People's Budget. It balances the budget 20 yrs sooner than Ryan's.

Never heard of it? Your liberal media hard at work.

The issue came to a head in late 2010, during a lame-duck session of the 111th Congress.
At the "Slurpee Summit" of November 30, President Barack Obama appointed Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and Office of Management and Budget chief Jack Lew to help Republicans and Democrats hammer out an agreement on extending the Bush tax cuts.[29] All 42 Republican Senators pledged to block all legislation in the lame-duck session until the tax matter was settled.[30][31]
Congressional Democrats offered two attempts to extend the Bush-era rates for "middle income" families but restore the previous, higher rates for "high income" people. The first proposal had a cutoff at $250,000, while the second raised the dividing line to $1 million. Both proposals were able to pass in the House, but on December 4, 2010, both fell short in the Senate, getting only 53 votes and not the 60 needed for cloture.

Garage, wrong again…Passed by “Lame Duck” Pelosi/Reid Congress.

I see the People are raising taxes, a lot…even though raising taxes won’t close the gap. OH and I see it creates an NHS, that’ll save us money!

Does it also have a Five Year Plan in it?

"I don't want her in, because I can see her winning the nomination but not beating President Double-Dip."

People voted for McCain because they thought he was the best bet to win.

Then the mortgage crisis launched us into economic meltdown before the election, but after the primaries, and it would have been Romney who could have beat Obama, possibly with ease.

But we had McCain, and we had McCain for exactly the same sort of "voting for who you think will win instead of who you like best" mindset.

People are right about Palin not needing to focus on fund-raising as furiously as tradition would dictate.

She will be the first woman president and the first Open Source(TM) president of the United States.

All she has to do to get an audience is...say something, and make it available on the net.

Every time she does, people who lover her and hate her alike are all a-fuss. "What did she say this time? What did she say?"

This was never possible before the way it is now, and no other candidate 'gets it' in the way that Sarah Palin does.

Going to be an exciting election year!

Yes, yes, a thousand time YES.

If Romney wins the ticket, I'll vote for him, if only as a vote AGAINST the opponent. But given my choice, it's Palin all the way. She's resilient, principled, human extremely bold and learns fast on her feet.

It would be great to see someone like this gain office.

Um, it was passed by a Democratic Congress and signed on December 17, 2010, you silly little liar.

Has there ever been anyone who has beclowned themself to this level on the Internet?

That's cause you don't pay attention garage. $4 trillion increase in debt in 3 years, job killing Obamacare when jobs should have been a priority, job killing regulations, $1.7 trillion deficit with more to come, pointless war in Libya that only fuels more Islamic hatred.

No wonder you love him.

Then you talk to some really dumb people (which doesn't surprise me one bit). And you completely ignore the discussions here.

NYTNewYorker has you pegged: "You act like you just got here 5 minutes ago, you are disingenuous to the core."
